Ok. So I have pads, an extra peri bottle, tucks wipes, and the toilet paper wipes, but what extras should I have around, baby and not baby related? Like what kind of pain meds should I stock up on?
Also, any extras? We hit up extra laundry detergent, paper towels, paper plates, and toilet paper.
What am I forgetting?
Bonus question: what baby apps do you have downloaded on your phone?

Once you have an outside baby you can take ibuprofen again. For a vaginal birth I would make sure you have plenty of pads. Even with a section I needed a lot and they "clean you out" while in there.
Lots of laundry detergent and stain remover for baby clothes. Between spitting up and poop blow ups you'll be doing a lot of laundry. In fact, get another laundry basket.

Oh and nipple cream! Check out the breastfeeding thread I started for APNO. It was a LIFESAVER for me. It was the only cream that really helped. And I just whipped up my own batch and got the ingredients right at the local drug store.
Nursing tanks? I found them more comfortable to wear and sleep in than nursing bras.
Breast pads, disposable or reusable. I didn't leak too bad with my first but in the beginning engorgment was an issue while your milk figures its self out. Some people have major leaking just hearing their baby cry so better to be prepared.

For you: Dermoplast (a pain relieving spray) was my best friend last time. My hospital sent me home with some, but I bought extra too. Get the one with the blue lid. Buy some cheap large underwear you don't mind throwing away - or a pack of depends - for the first few days. Regular pads for after. Nipple cream - a lot of people like lanolin, but it was too thick for me. My favorite is the motherlove brand. Nursing pads and tanks/bras I also bought one of those detachable shower heads for my shower. It made showering so much easier.

Apps for baby-I have Wonder Weeks which is for developmental info, and Baby Daybook was what I used last time to track feedings, diapers, naps, etc. It was ok, but following this thread to see if someone has a tracking app they love.
I tried the "move your hairtie from wrist to wrist so you remember what side to feed the baby on" method, but never remembered to move it so the app was super helpful for that.

I am pretty sure I have two different kinds of nipple cream, 3 nursing bras, and we do have epsom salt in our house.
I think I have three decent size packs of overnight pads.
I’ll have to double check our Tylenol/Advil stash in the house.
Thank goodness for Amazon Prime.

Definitely get the wonder weeks app. It’s more applicable in the following weeks to months, but important and pretty spot on. I also did an app to keep track of feedings and diapers. I think I started with the medela one but it looks likes I have one called MammaBaby on my phone still. Any free one just to keep track of when they are and how long on each boob. Also, I always fed on both boobs each feeding. It was just a matter of keeping track of which to start on. Some ppl put a little ribbon on the strap of their cami to keep track.

Witch hazel or prep H Nursing bras For nursing pads, I started disposable because I got some given to me, but preferred bamboobies ultimately, so I’m going straight to them this time.
Thanks for this thread! I’m trying to do a final target run after nap time today!

Have we already talked fave nursing bras? I need new ones. For lounging at home, I like one I got off of Amazon that I think is La Leche League branded. It's a simple crossover kind where you just pull the cup to the side. Husband picked me up some Majama Nursing Tanks at the nursing shop associated with our hospital and they are SO SOFT and comfortable. I'm also obsessed with a Gilligan and O'Malley tank I got at Target last time. For a little more structure, I like the Bravado I got after a few months last time - I haven't used it yet because I'm living in nursing tanks with built in bras, and the loungey soft bras right now. I also got a Natori nursing bra at Pea in the Pod that I was wearing during pregnancy and really like.

I missed this question earlier - I second the bravado! They can be a little pricey, but it's worth it IMHO and they hold up well.
