There was a made for tv movie in 2004 called Iron Jawed Angels staring Hilary Swank. It was really well done. I feel like that is how I most familiar with what happened. It was a night of terror, for sure.

No. He's making an argument based on the fact that premiums would go up if the mandate is repealed. I'm all for what Topher's fighting for but he gets a bit creative to gin up the maximum amount of outrage possible.

Dems are trying to submit additional health care related amendments to the bill now. Republicans are saying the individual mandate is a tax and that's why they can do it but no other healthcare stuff.

Individual mandate repeal is prob in the tax bill now. Super.

Also a domestic abuser and known multiple gun owner/nut/standup guy killed his neighbor in a remote NorCal town and then stole the guy's truck and drove to an elementary school and shot a bunch of people there. Just this morning. Details scarce at the moment, but seems like the shooter has also been killed.

McCaskill is really good right now. Saying that the premium increases will hit the middle class who make a little too much to qualify for subsidies...and that's who the GOP is saying they're trying to help with this tax cut.

Idk but I've watched senate finance a few times and Hatch can be a bit of a hall monitor so not sure if it's anything beyond that.

Alexander-Murray is a stabilization bill. What's it going to fucking stabilize if they repeal the mandate?

Also, he's not dumb; he knows some of the GOP will want to be able to vote yes on A-M in order to vote to kill the mandate.
