Morning! It’s DH’s birthday so the girls and I are going to make a cake for him today. Chocolate with green frosting per H. I have to go buy ingredients so I think I’m going to target so I can check out the new hearth and hand stuff too.

Hope M is doing well this morning, tgrimes . How's the joelies household feeling today? There was far less coughing last night but I'm ready for this little GI bug to disappear. Colin keeps thinking he pooped himself (he hasn't), Chase has 3-5 dirty diapers a day, and I feel disgusting. I asked DH last night if maybe he'd been poisoning our food but apparently that's not it.

Hi ladies. I got released from work early yesterday (which never happens) because it was snowing! Snow also never happens here this time of year. Only a very light dusting stuck but it was pretty. It went from sunny and 65 to being in the 30s almost overnight. Brr!

mwhip I hope you hear about a new job soon, any word from the recruiter? And FX about yh interview in TX. I emailed the recruiter last week about another posting they had, which sounded like a good fit. She told me what it paid and I said nope! :-) So I'm on her radar. She asked me about an opening she has that is on the north side of KC, to which I also said nope, because that would be like a 45 minute commute. I've started sending my resume out to other jobs that initially wouldn't have interested me, but I'm starting to feel I'm under the gun and can't afford to be out of a job. Thanks, he needs to confirm the date of the 20th so we can schedule hotel rooms, I hope he does it today. I had to remind him this weekend that is the weekend before Thanksgiving, so hotels could be full already. I think he's lost track of time.

Morning!
I’m sitting in the car eating CFA breakfast while C naps. With her schedule screwed up from the time change I knew she’d fall asleep in the car after B’s drop-off. Sure enough...
Our family pictures went really well last night, I think. The Photographer sent me a couple sneak peeks (just phone pics of her camera screen) and they looked terrific. Can’t wait to get them back!

Also, I just posted in the birthday thread with a question re: Power Wheels-type vehicles. If you have one, or strong feelings about them, can you take a peek?

Morning! My internet is down at work too wedding. But it’s an equipment problem that needs replaced. I called our IT guy who’s office is 45 min away...his answer was “I’ll try to get there sometime in the next few days”. Gee thanks. But I’m thinking that might work out ok, I will just take my laptop home and “work “ from there. AKA: monitor email while I catch up on laundry and other house work. Plus my new iPhone is coming today, so I can be home to accept the delivery and work on getting it set up!

Also, I hate DST! Yesterday S woke at 4:15. I didn’t get to bed till 2 because of a fundraising event MH and I hosted. Thankfully my mom was there and took over so I could go back to sleep. Then this morning was 5 am wake up. Hopefully it gets better as she adjusts!

Day 1 of positive reinforcement. I praised her and gave her a high five for staying in her bed all night. She didn't correct me. Mh did a little while later, apparently she went to his bed at 5. Oops. I have a Dr. Appt at 9:30 and mh had to get to work early to train a new intern, so I'll be dropping Cadence at school. Still good reinforcement. Hopefully she will want to stay in bed tomorrow so it continues. I always just say oh well, we'll try again tonight. She asked if we could try again right then because she was still tired.

We have bailey's and I really want some in my coffee. That would hit the spot. You already know my response to this.

Morning! I was a MIA all weekend. My parents had the kids overnight on Saturday because we had plans, so I didn't have to deal with DST shenanigans. Whew. We had a group of friends rent a bus to drive into the cities. We toured the vikings stadium then stopped at a distillery and brewery on the way home. It was a fun day! We were super lazy yesterday. I made a big pot of chili that I plan on eating all week.
H either has a stomach bug or is teething. He's acting mostly normal but not with his normal appetite, no fever, but blowouts. He seemed a little better this morning so hopeful we're at the end. N starts gymnastics again tonight and is excited to start level 1.
I'm in the office and way too excited about my new office chair. I've been using a stupid ergonomic kneeling stool thing for 2 years and had to practically beg for a new chair. It's so comfy! And I have zero emails to tend to so it's going to be a long day...

I just got some really bad news about my grandma. She apparently has a very bad heart problem that went undetected for way to long, because they thought here asthma caused the symptoms. She’ll need heart surgery within the next two/three weeks otherwise she’ll probably won’t make the end of the year. She’s 84, which I know is a good old age, but still, she’s my young vital, modern grandma and you never know how old people do in surgery 😕.

Good morning - It always takes me so long to get through the thread and then I forget what I wanted to say. Sometimes I will respond as I go, but then I fear I'm putting a random response in the middle of some serious conversation I haven't gotten to yet. Anyway, I do remember happy birthday to C, yummeecookee. I hope everyone who is sick/has sick little ones recovers quickly! tgrimes, I think I saw it asked, but I didn't see a response... How is M this morning?
