Unisom + B6. Who has done it? Does it help with nausea or only with vomiting? Several of y’all have mentioned digeclis but my first OB appointment isn’t for another two weeks. And it’s just horrific nausea, no vomiting. Currently trying ginger, Sea Bands, sour B6 candy, light frequent snacks. Unisom and B6 is essentially diclegis. I take it at night (I couldn’t stay awake taking it during the day) and it reduces the nausea and keeps me from vomiting. I also need Zofran during the day to prevent further vomiting, but the nausea never really went away for me (just dulled to a more manageable level). You can call the office and ask for a prescription/samples, or just do the over the counter combo. I would definitely try it either way though.

I used it last pregnancy and it helped. 50mg and half a unisom at night, then another 50mg B6 in the morning. This time around I am even sicker and started with that combo. It did absolutely nothing. On the other hand Diclegis has been a game changer. I have adjusted and it doesn’t make me too tired during the day anymore. Maybe try the unisom/B6 but don’t hesitate to call before your first appointment. I called my MW’s office hysterical and they got me samples before my first appointment.

I took my dog to his first oncology appointment today but left without any answers still...just a plan for more tests. I'm trying to shake the funk that put me in and get in the Halloween spirit because I'm excited for my 2yo to ToT tonight. I think I'm going to turn on Hocus Pocus at my desk and see if that helps me out. haha

I have turned into a stereotypical pregnant woman and have begun craving pickles. Also, apparently pickles with peanut butter is amaze-balls.

congrats adeline! I hope they'll be close! My sister and I are 3.5 years apart and have always been really close so I hope my girls can be the same. They’ll be just under 3 years apart. It’s still sinking in. I’m so glad for DD to have a sister.

It’s still sinking in. I’m so glad for DD to have a sister. I was likewise delighted to have my two boys in succession. They will be sharing a room again soon (except for naps, because they keep each other awake, and is why they were separated in the first place) as we now have more usable bedrooms. I'm hoping the next two children will be the same sex as well so they can have the same thing.

I called my MW on Monday pretty much crying because my nausea has been almost debilitating, and it was getting harder and harder to make it through the work day. She told me to start taking 50MG of B6 up to 3x/day and 1/2 tab of unisom at night. It's made a huge difference. I am functioning so much better now. The nausea is still there, but this takes the edge off, by a lot. Hope you feel better soon!

I hope everyone had a great Halloween! DS (2yrs) was the cutest little ToTer and we had a blast. This was the first time we were out ToTing instead of handing out candy so we missed the rush and still have a ton of candy left. Blech.

My son lasted 11 minutes at daycare before saying he was “so sick” and needed to go home. They sent him home because he had a “fever” of 99.5. So I am home again. Right in the middle of month end reports and budget submittals at work. I’m trying not to be super annoyed

I work from home, which is usually awesome, but today I feel so claustrophobic. Meh. I need an attitude adjustment.
Also, (TMI warning!) in my last pregnancy I had bad constipation in the early weeks. This time, I'm waking up to almost diarrhea every morning. WTF, body?!

theduchess sorry for the runs! My anxiety is up today so I feel you on the claustrophobic part. At least you're home with bathroom access? Bright side?

I'm having super anxiety today about my NT Scan on Monday and I don't know why. It just came on out of nowhere today but it's not fun at all. Ugh.

I feel like, with pregnancy, there are always things to worry about and sometimes they aren’t the things we expect. It’s also hard not to worry since we done have a constant window into our wombs. FX all is well and don’t forget to AW your visit!
