So is everyone going to start binging the new season of Stranger Things tonight? Yes but likely not until next week. DH doesn't watch it and we are in the middle of Mindhunter.

Last night M said she wanted me to be Captain Hook and MH to be Tick-Tock Croc for Halloween and he can eat my underwear off. (There's a scene of the croc tearing away Captain Hook's pants and revealing his underwear in the movie.) I wouldn't want to disappoint her but I'll wait until she's asleep before MH and I do so.

C asked me to take the bedrails off his bed this morning. I took one off and told him I will take the other off after the weekend if he doesn't fall out. He also kept his pullup dry the past 3 nights. He's growing up.

LO and I are currently at Olive Garden. He was so good while I got my blood drawn and got some new maternity pants. I figured soup and salad will help him feel better

My boy is in a big bed for the first time. And he’ll be four in three night. Cue tears.

My dad is still in surgery. It was only supposed to last 3 hours so my mother is freaking out. All anyone can tell me is that he’s still in surgery.
This is annoying.

Also, this hospital plays a lullaby over the intercom every time a baby is born. I get teary eyed every fucking time.

Thanks everyone, I don’t know what I’d do without you guys to talk me off the ledge. We both calmed down and we talked. He was able to articulate that we was sad that mommy and his teacher were mad/sad at him, and he was upset that his clip got moved off green, but he couldn’t tel me what caused him to be so upset he moved off green in the first place. We went to the fun run, because it wasn’t fair to Landon to not go. I took a stroller and told him he had to sit and be good or we would leave, and he was an angel. Then as we were leaving he suddenly started bawling/tantruming again saying he wanted Landon to come home with us and he missed his brothers. He’s not warm, but he’s definitely acting off. I’m wondering if he didn’t sleep well, but I also don’t want to make excuses for his behavior. He knows he doesn’t get his show and it’s early bedtime and I’m hoping he’ll take a good nap and we will see what the rest of the day brings.

Thanks cagoldi. I've had dark circles my whole life. I've found concealers that work pretty decent, I'm just looking for more of a treatment to lighten them. I suppose if I ever tried a cream for more than a random few days, I would have better luck! I have an eye cream and vitamin C serum that I'm going to try and use religiously for the next month to see if it helps. I'm terrible at having a skin care routine. I’m going to do this as well. I have very tired looking skin and dark under eye circles as well, it’s embarrassing and I hate it. What eye cream and Vitamin C serum do you have? cagoldi which products do you have? I have Orgins Checks and Balances foaming face wash, and the charcoal face mask. The night cream I use is actually Burts Bees and I like it but I’d be open to something else. How often should one do a face mask? Are there different kinds to do every other time?

I was a bit disappointed w shape tape for the exact reason you described. Very heavy. I am still using it, but the teeniest tiniest amount. I'm glad to hear this as I was just about to buy it this weekend before the 20% off ends. I thought I liked the it! cosmetics concealer, but the more I use it, the more I dislike it. Well you're much younger than me so it might be perfect. You probably don't have scary old bag dragon lady skin yet. If you can get to a Sephora you could try it out.

MH has asked for an electric razor for Christmas, doesn’t need waterproof but high quality since he has to shave everyday. Anything that YH’s love or any brand/models to stay away from? I for DH a philips norelco from target last year. I’m pretty sure it was under $100, and he hasn’t had any issues with it. He shaves every day or every couple days.

slenle I forgot to reply a couple days ago but you were asking about dark circles, IIRC? I like Pacifica's concealer for my undereye area, then I dab a little NYX dark circle concealer corrector in the corner if I'm especially dark that day. I just tried Tarte's shape tape yesterday and the coverage is very good. I can see why it's a cult favorite but my skin is a little older and I think it's a little too heavy for more mature skin. So while I like it, I'll still probably stick with Pacifica for the most part. For lightening up the circles instead of covering them, I've found Vitamin C serums and eye creams to help with that. I was a bit disappointed w shape tape for the exact reason you described. Very heavy. I am still using it, but the teeniest tiniest amount. The urban decay naked concealer is great for under eyes if you’re looking for something new.

Awkward office alert. The guy in the office next to me turned in his resignation today. He's an engineer, so he has access to all kinds of intellectual property. He won't tell anyone where he's going so I think the told him today is his last day, clean your office and get out. I know more than I should since I had lunch with the 2 HR girls, so I'm just sitting in my office, pretending nothing is out of the normal. But it's awkward AF because I know exactly what is going on.

tgrimes I hope they tell you something soon. Isn't there a surgery nurse who can give you an update? Kind of shitty to leave you all sitting there longer than scheduled surgery time with no updates.

xolastunicornxo everyone has an off day. Glad it's getting better. mskatiep glad the tissue is out and everything went well. T's preschool had a last minute closing because of a power failure. I was already at work so he went to work with DH. He took a bus to NYC. Can't wait to hear his thoughts on this.

trtlcrzy, any interest in trying the Halloween fraps -- I think the zombie one is out but not the vampire. No, not the zombie anyways. It’s Carmel Apple and it doesn’t have any coffee in it so I’m skipping. I don’t think I heard about the vampire though.

How often should one do a face mask? Are there different kinds to do every other time? I like the Vitamin C serum from Tru Skin Naturals. It works well, reasonably priced, and lasts a few months. I use it once each morning. Then at night I use CosRX Galactomyces. That has seemed to brighten up my undereye area. I put that on about an hour before bed, then I put a little layer of CoxRx rice mask over that. The rice mask is a moisturizer, despite what the name implies. I've heard great things about the CosRX snail mucin eye cream. So if the thought doesn't gross you out it's worth a try. I haven't tried that one because, not vegan. I only do a face mask once or twice a week. I usually do a hair treatment/mask at the same time.
