What are your opinions on old navy pjs? Cadence will only wear pants with cuffs (like Carter's pjs), but I hate how tight the sleeves are. Half the time I can't get her arms in them and we go with a short sleeve top instead. I'm just wondering if Old Navy's are the same way in the sleeves. Why are the sleeves so skinny!? L is not a chubby girl and it is to hard to get her arms into those things! A lot of 18 month olds are still chunky too! I bought E some pjs at Dollar General a few months ago. They're lighter weight because $5, but they fit her really well. I will totally buy them again!

Loose sleeves are more likely to catch fire...if there is a fire....

I don’t find the sleeves are that tight on old navy. I think their cotton is more stretchy too.

Otherwise the material has to be doused in fire retardant and a lot of people don’t like that.

We "booed" a couple of our neighbors last night and C was so excited. He loved sneaking and leaving it without them noticing. I'm sure he'll tell them it was him as soon as we see them though! I’ve just heard about people doing this, sounds fun! We don’t have close neighbors living in such a rural area. But a FB friend from the city posted this...the kids get “booed” and the adults get “boozed”.

MH has asked for an electric razor for Christmas, doesn’t need waterproof but high quality since he has to shave everyday. Anything that YH’s love or any brand/models to stay away from?

guster, B was Tinkerbell for her first Halloween. The wings were detachable from the costume, so I put a green jacket on her and safety pinned the wings to her jacket for ToT.

slenle I forgot to reply a couple days ago but you were asking about dark circles, IIRC? I like Pacifica's concealer for my undereye area, then I dab a little NYX dark circle concealer corrector in the corner if I'm especially dark that day. I just tried Tarte's shape tape yesterday and the coverage is very good. I can see why it's a cult favorite but my skin is a little older and I think it's a little too heavy for more mature skin. So while I like it, I'll still probably stick with Pacifica for the most part. For lightening up the circles instead of covering them, I've found Vitamin C serums and eye creams to help with that.

A Costco opened half an hour away. Guess where we're headed? I hear it's quite a bash.

Well MH decided not to extend his stay to 45 days and will be coming home on Nov8. They keep getting spread thinner and it is wearing on him mentally not to have time or people to decompress with. It sounds like it was a weight lifted off his shoulders as soon as he made the decision. I'm pretty excited about it. The next 2 weeks will go quickly for me and E with Halloween and bday party. I'm sure it will seem like forever to him.

Did you get to see what was in there mskatiep? No I wish. The doc just confirmed that it was Kleenex. She does have quite a bit of dry wax which is probably a little itchy so he suggested a couple drops of olive or mineral oil in here ears 2 times a week.

But my 35 year-old skin is completely different from my 25 year-old skin. That's what I get for listening to 22 year-old and their make-up tutorials!

Oh my god. So Ryland was having a rougher morning: didn’t want to go to school, wanted to go to the gym with me, was jealous because Landon’s school is doing a fun run today. Was clinging to me at drop off. I didn’t think too much of it, he does this occasionally and is fine as soon as I leave. Nope. His teacher just called me to come get him. He was still screaming/crying/throwing himself on the ground/ kicking. MY KiD JUST GOT SENT HOME FROM SCHOOL. I am mortified and furious and I can’t stop crying. I don’t even know how to proceed. I made him stay in his room until he calmed down and then we talked about it. He’s calm know and he’s said he is sorry, but what do I do? We were suppose to go to Landon’s fun run, have lunch with friends and then have a park date. I cancel everything right. I’ve already told him he’s lost his shows for the day and will have an early bedtime. I feel bad missing the fun run because that punishes Landon. I’m a wreck, and I feel like the worlds most incompetent Mom

Thanks cagoldi. I've had dark circles my whole life. I've found concealers that work pretty decent, I'm just looking for more of a treatment to lighten them. I suppose if I ever tried a cream for more than a random few days, I would have better luck! I have an eye cream and vitamin C serum that I'm going to try and use religiously for the next month to see if it helps. I'm terrible at having a skin care routine.

slenle, I second a vitamin C serum. I use one from the body shop that is a skin brightness and it really has lessened my dark circles. I mean, they are still there because tired but they're not as dark.

xolastunicornxo, maybe having the shows taken away and an early bedtime are enough punishment...idk. I would still go to Landon's fun run.

xolastunicornxo could he have to sit and watch the fun run and not participate? I wouldn't cancel everything bc then everyone would be an angry mess. He apologized and is calm now. Maybe make him write a letter to his teacher to apologize, no shows, and early bedtime.

Reason 54789 why I'm over working for this company: Why do we need 5 emails telling us that open enrollment is soon and stay tuned for the webinars. Why?! Why do we need webinars to fill out our health care forms! Lord. Lol, don't ever work for the government. Webinars, slide shows, briefings for all the things.

xolastunicornxo, Don't feel like a bad mom! There is nothing as a parent that caused this. Is there a chance he is sick? Does YH company have backup care that in times when you need a babysitter during the day you could call them? Might be something to look into for occasions like this.
