I LOVE Halloween and I LOVE dressing up! You all are no fun Me too, most years. We are going to a party on 11/4 and I’ve almost got everything I need for my costume. DH is going to be anger and I’m going to be disgust from inside out. Pls post pics!

I'm ok with siblings, but agree that they should have at least asked yummeecookee if it was ok and offered to pay if it would be an extra charge. I still have yet to make plans for M's birthday. At the very least, I hope a play date (party to him) will happen.

Yeah, I think it's one thing to ask nicely and stress that you'd pay for the sibling. To assume or not offer to pay is another. Some people can be so rude! I'm sure a lot don't even say they'll bring another kid which sucks for the people planning the party. Not only the cost to participate, but then any additional food, favors, ect. I'd feel bad if an extra kid came and I didn't have a favor or something for him. It's totally the parents fault but I'd feel so sad for the kid.

It's alligator theme so I think I'll do a wooden alligator, paints and brush as a favor. Is it annoying to give paint as a favor though?

Hi all. I'm not caught up but wanted to say hello. I have to power through and finish work because I have a dentist appointment this afternoon. I had the.most.annoying.patient.EVER this morning. I hope H feels better soon and no one else catches it tgrimes! I don't care if someone brings a sibling to a party, but if it's not at my house and a location I have to pay for they better plan on paying for their own kid and that the kid will not be part of the party group. If it's at my house please RSVP so I can have enough food/favors.

I made cupcake ice cream cones for Cs class for tomorrow. I got these cool pans that you can cook them in and transport. Well, I filled the cups up too high and this is my situation I tried cutting off the overflow but the cone kind of disintegrated under it so they aren't salvageable. Now I'm making mini cupcakes. Have I mentioned I hate cooking/baking? Eta: cooking not coming. Good lord!

The mess vs. reward of them staying occupied ratio for me is so in my favor. I never mind throwing down some newspaper and letting the girls get crafty because there's a forbidden fruit aspect to paint and glue where it's almost like letting a 14 yo drive a car--they think they've been allowed to have the holy grail of forbidden items.

trtlcrzy I'm really wondering what anger and disgust, from the inside out, look like. I feel like most days, I am anger, so I'm wearing it! Anger is red, disgust is green

FTR- in my situation, parent did not ask or offer to pay. They told me their kid was coming (and would be jumping). I don’t mind having an extra kid there and it’ll be like a little friend for C anyways. But like jewels said, it’s a little off putting that the parent assumed it was ok. Hey, and maybe they were even planning to pay for the kid but didn’t feel the need to tell me. I can’t bold anything because mobile, but you’re last sentence may be what’s happening, I would assume that she’ll pay you or the venue when they get to the party. Maybe she knows that under 1 is free or something. When’s the party? I’m gonna need a follow up 😉

I got home and MH's mom was giving C "healthy candy". I didn't think much about it. Grandparents spoiling their grandkid and all and they call really random things "healthy". Turns out they were cough drops. She gave him 3 cough drops to eat. He does not have a cough.

trtlcrzy, are you going to paint your face? Seeing faces painted makes me itchy and kinda queasy. I'm allergic to fun.

I can't remember exactly what it was.

Also don't think paint is bad. M loves to paint and I let him, but only outside on the patio with washable paint.

Do you put your car in park and give yourself a pep talk of love an acceptance and do a few deep meditation breaths before you head in the house to see what awesomeness was a part of the day? That’s how I imagine it.

So Layla has to be under general anesthesia tomorrow morning to remove the Kleenex. The Ped ENT tried, but could only get a little before she was crying and moving too much to feel comfortable continuing. It's just coming out in flakes. This is what I get for being #cheapmom and buying the off brand Kleenex.
Luckily Tim will be back tonight and can go with us in the morning. I'm kinda spiraling as the doc said there is possible hearing damage as it is really far in there.
We are currently eating ice cream and playing at the McDonald's play place.
