Guys, what is the difference between a five point harnessed booster seat and a convertible car seat? Is there one? As C has grown I hate the nextfit we have in Dhs car. The straps are always twisting, it's a snug fit, and it's hard to get in. I was looking at something like this to replace it but I want to make sure I'm doing the right thing safety wise. Convertible rear and forward faces. Harnessed booster only forward. So at this age, it's a waste of money to get one that does both since you won't utilize all functions. That's a good option for him. We have the graco transitions and I love it. It's easy to clean and get him in/out of. The smoothest tightening seat I've ever seen. We have 2 and will get j one when we turn him. But it's made narrow to get 3 across, which isn't a concern for you so the wider one will be more spacious and likely more comfortable.

AFM I had a team building event downtown and didn't have a second to myself. We did Meyers Briggs results and then had a scavenger hunt on the mall. We had the Lincoln end of the mall and we covered a lot of ground. I had somehow never been to the FDR memorial. It was pretty fun.
But then pickup was stress city. MH left early to get N...and I left at 4:45 to take the bus across town to get j, but then MH got stuck in traffic and didn't think he could get to N before 6. So I got to race back to my car and do a rushed pickup, but everyone in time. My worst fear is being late to daycare pickup. F traffic. MH felt awful too.

B picked a rainbow theme for J’s birthday, it’ll be pastel rainbow and am very intimidated by baking the cake. I’ve got a bakery on speed dial. I might just see if one of the bakeries that does vegan cakes can do it but that probably means a trip to LA. Not sure which is more frustrating, spending all that time driving or wasting all day on a cake only to not have it turn out the way I want.

trtlcrzy I can't get my fitbit to sync. I've reset it, deleted the app and reinstalled and restarted my phone. Any other ideas before I call tomorrow? It's driving me nuts. It hasn't synced since 8am yesterday. So I have 733 steps for the week 😐 You removed your fitbit completely from the fitbit app? That usually works for me when I’m having sync issues.

I had parent teacher conference today at school. He got good ratings on everything except telling time which she admitted she's not sure how it is supposed to be evaluated or taught at this age. The next part though is for sing2phins. Lol, she said he won't listen and rolls on the ground. She can't find a method of punishment that he doesn't laugh at. But she did say that the whole class seems to have started doing this in the past month. So clearly it is a developmental stage. Where is the wonder weeks app for 4yr olds?

Persephone is one of those names that the person/baby needs to fit it imo. I'm not a huge fan of Salem. The first thing that came to my mine is the Salem Witch trials but that's the former historian in me talking. Same here. And days of our lives.

I just found a vegan bakery in Fountain Valley so that's promising. Maybe they can do it. Much closer than driving to LA.

I do like juniper and Emerson and i loooooove poppy and Walt is on our short list for our hypothetical third kid. Tommy is too cute! Anybody else scared that a friend gives their baby ‘your’ name? And is relieved to hear s different one 🙄? cagoldi you can totally make that cake, not hard, just a shit load of work!

My sister asked to borrow an old Halloween costume which sent me on a spiral. I can’t, for the life of me, remember what I dressed up as in 2009. I can’t find any pictures on my computer or Facebook. This will drive me crazy until I figure it out. DH remembers what he was, but can’t remember what I was. Grr.

Love Lauren. Lauren and Sarah were our top choices below Julia. I love love love Julia. But A has an aunt Julie and we would never hear the end of how we named a baby after her.. But it's seriously one of my favorites. I love Julia and Lauren too!

I'm always kinda glad when friends don't use our names, but I'd still use it even if a friend did. I have a friend who just used one of my favorite boy names (Smith). I'd still use it, but probably won't for various reasons. My sister is due a month after me and I think they are scared we are going to use one of their names. I think we have different styles though.

I was actually relieved when my best friend named her son Conor right before Colin was born, because DH loved that name and I just never warmed up to it. ETA: They were team green, so we already knew they were going with Conor if it was a boy

I finally had her at 1:03 a.m. on the 24th. So I was already chillin' like a villain in my post-partum panties and discovering the joy of how painful breastfeeding is by the time L came along. (;
