So, I'm new here! I want to start planning the perfect planner for myself so that I can maybe talk H into getting one for me for Christmas or maybe start getting things together to do a print at FedEx/Staples/OfficeMax, wherever.
I'm in need of a planner that has a monthly chart (something that we can put a brief overview of the events for the month), but something that also has the days broken up by hours. Mostly for evenings, but with a small business that I'm hoping to expand as the kids get older, I need to be able to put my things into time slots as well. I like weekly views. So basically I need all the planners in one. :-) Anyone have a good recommendation?!

I'm bummed. I tried for Foxy Fix's mystery sale and missed out. I don't think I could have checked out any faster and lost out right at the finish of checkout. Hope the b/s/t boards of lots of good things in the next weeks.

Man fosterlove that's an awesome planner. Will not by a new planner. Will not by a new planner... Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk I really love my EC, I wasn't sure if I would. I use it for work and volunteering and it is purely functional vs decorative. I like that the pages are "stuck" and I can flip through and be a little harder on it than I am with my HP. They have released an 18 month which starts in July and goes through 2018. I am going to make myself wait until the 12 month ones come out to buy a new one. They are customizable, you pick the cover and the coils, whether you want color or neutral. This is my current cover 💙

I know that some don't like the coil, but it works for what I need that planner to do.
I love that I can add in things to my HP for personal business.

The new Recollections spirals at Michaels will include an hourly option. And if I'm remembering correctly, it will go to 10pm, which is later than EC. I need those extra hours in the evening. Also, hi.

I'm trying to talk myself out of buying another planner while foxy fox is having their mystery sale. I'm telling myself to wait until I know what I want to do next year as far as a planner goes

I don't need another planner. H thinks it's dumb but I kind of really want a foxy fix.

That may have changed now though.

Hi everyone! I posted a little at the old place. I was anchors away there.
I have the recollections planner to keep track of stuff I need to do, my kids schedule, & my husbands schedule. If I don't use it I feel lost. I don't really decorate though. I just color coordinate for each person.
I did get another planner for my mom and I've turned it into a kids activity one. I have been finding all the cheap/free kids activities in my area and writing it in the weekly sections. Then when it gets to that week I can just look there to find stuff for us to do. Im hoping it allows us to try out more stuff since I won't forget it.

Hi! I haven't touched my planner all month because things got crazy with switching jobs. I really need to get back into it though.

I use the Happy Planner. I have been using it for 2 years. I am happy with it and I believe have finally found planner peace.
For me - I would get the HP and then buy the hourly inserts. You may be able to get free hourly printables online so I would search that out. I like EC but I don't like her prices and the coils. It's too much commitment for me.
If you don't mind the price or the coils then I would get the EC hourly for what you said you need.

The EC price is certainly enough to find something else to see if it works for what you need. If I hadn't gotten it as a gift, I am not sure I ever would have pulled the trigger.

May I play here?
I'm not sure I can, because while I love my planner, I use a pre-printed Day-Timer 2-pages-to-a-week planner with a mix of DayTimer & Franklin Planner add-ins. I love the ring binder so I can keep all kinds of of notes in it. And I love that I can get check register pages to keep track of fiances along with everything else all in one place.
I would like to have a more creative planner, but I need something that is structured for me. I have a tendency towards perfectionism and doing-it-myself makes me frustrated because I can never get it perfect enough. The pre-printed weekly pages are perfect for me, and the ease of adding pages makes the system work the way I want it to.
The only part of my life that's not in my planner is my menu plan. I plan menus in a regular half-size spiral notebook, the way my mother did -- one page to a week, handwritten in pencil with notes as to where to find the recipes; I make weekly grocery lists in a top-bound spiral steno pad that lives on the corner of my cabinet so we can add things to the list as we run out.
