dizzycooks I honestly don't know what's up with him lately. I swear he used to know that they weren't even remotely the same thing, but he's forgotten. It's weird.

I am alive and at the salon!! I am switching my blonde highlights out for red! Woot woot! tinydancer - congrats on the great ultrasound! lollipop - your mom should talk to your Dad’s doctor about what he’s saying- it sounds concerning. Good luck! scorpioscuba - if she doesn’t wear the donut, then I will!!

theoprah he refused to see a doctor, unless he literally has cut off a body part. The Last time he went voluntarily on a regular basis was after he had his finger amputated. When I was 11. He's a pain.

theoprah enjoy the time at the salon!! Are you getting a cut too? I spent the afternoon racing the clouds and wind trying to gather up the last of the leaves and mow the yard one last time. Honestly I did a terrible job, but there are that many fewer leaves out there now. My dishwasher was installed this morning and it’s beautiful. It’s smaller inside than the last one, but whatevs, it works. My last task today is sorting through a mountain of clothes and deciding what to keep and what to return to the owner. It should not be challenging to do this, but I just can’t get it done.

I give up. I’m putting on soft pants. I am obviously not going anywhere today.

I’m so confused! Dd has had a low grade fever off and on since Tuesday night. Anywhere from 99.3. - 102. No other symptoms. She’s been taking longer than normal naps. Other than that she seems fine. Not overly cranky. One of her bottom canines is finally breaking through. What is going on here!? Any ideas?

My girls rarely present as sick with EIs, but the length of the fever and the fact it would exclude her from daycare would be enough reason for me to go in. If the doctor says it’s canines and nothing more then back to daycare you go kiddo!

It is snowing here. My kids were so excited. They went outside at 7:30am before the sun was up to play. I hope their enthusiasm lasts bc it’s going to be a long winter. I picked up a Costco chicken and am planning on mashed rutabaga and roasted broccoli and potatoes for dinner. I’d like the girls to help me make Rice Krispie bars

She isn’t in daycare so thank goodness that isn’t an issue! ☺️

scorpioscuba hope the fever goes away soon. I would probably go to the doc since it’s been going on a while. We are having a Day here. I think I’m seeing some terrible two behavior? Poor dd will get so upset and breakdown over the weirdest things. Ex. Wants ponytail, takes it out, then melts down over not having one. It’s been a long day. We were going to go to the library but ended up not going because of it. Dd just had two molars come in and canines almost I’m so wonder if that’s fueling the behavior. I’m other news, she’s been sleeping 4-5 hours without waking up. Insert happy dance.... I’m hoping this will stick. I’ve been waiting for this! I think the 4am wake/ups before were teeth related. Happy weekend!

DH surprised me this morning by saying that he got the babysitter for the whole afternoon/evening and is taking me out - the destination is still a surprise, but I was instructed to dress up a bit. My best guess is a concert/theater performance, but we shall see. It is really nice that he organized everything himself, so I'm just going with the flow. Will update later

Hanging out at DS’s football games this morning. It’s sunny and 70 degrees. Perfect! Tomorrow we are carving our ginormous pumpkins and H is smoking some ribs.

It ended up being tickets to a musical and then a 3-course dinner in the same complex as the theater. I loved that it was in the afternoon because the whole - put the kids to bed and then the babysitter comes so we can go out - thing does not work for me at this point in my life. I am too tired for that. I especially appreciated that DH planned everything from start to finish. Of course, he messed up and asked the babysitter to come an hour later than we actually needed her, but thankfully he realized in time and called her, and our neighbor watched the girls for a few minutes until the babysitter got here!

crimsonandclover I’m glad he noticed the time mix up early enough! That sounds like a very fun day. I’m with you though, I want to go out during the day and come home to tired kids 90% of the time. I get an actual break and still get all my sleep. Win win. Dh and I have about an entire notebook page full of small projects to get done while he has a few days off. Apparently sleeping was at the top of his list as he is currently napping. How do men do that?? I need things to be done or I can sit down...thus I rarely get to sit
