Are we all getting some much needed sleep? Is that why there are no randoms up yet? 😁 What’s everyone got for Tuesday?

Just waking up from a morning nap. Going to have to wake DD2 up to eat. Jaundice levels are still hanging out higher than they wouldn like, not rising but not falling. Doctor wants us to keep feeding her every 3 hours till the newest levels come in today but she suspects its breastmilk jaundice (which is different from breastfeeding jaundice and newborn jaundice?) and my brain is on google search overload.
No big plans today - might take DD1 and DD2 on a short walk this afternoon when we pick DD1 up. I could use some sunshine and fresh air!

We have fall-like weather today, so DS1 was able to wear one of his Halloween shirts finally.
I'm making an appointment with a LC at the hospital. DS2's latch looks ok from the outside, but it's excruciatingly painful and my nipples are getting all compressed. I'm also going to ask about any ties at the pedi appt this morning. That's the only problem we're having, so that's good. He'll wake up and do a (relatively) good feeding then sleep for a decent stretch. He's just so snuggly.

I lost my mucus plug! I don’t think I’ve ever been so excited over something so gross. I know it could mean nothing, but for me dealing with 0 signs of anything, its SOMETHING!

rachydc I lost mine last week, still no baby but it does mean progress is being made. Hopefully this means you’ll go on your own or at least conditions will be favorable for an easy induction. And yes it’s super gross. Already had my weekly growth ultrasound, it was uneventful as expected. DD has switched to PT daycare so the IL’s are watching her while I run errands. I want to stay away from the house as long as possible, MIL never stops talking which is overwhelming for me. My introverted self hates having them in my house. I feel like I have a giant watermelon trying to escape while walking. It’s not comfortable and the stretch and sweep did nothing. I haven’t even had any cramping. No plans for today, I may take DD to the playground after her nap to burn off some energy.

Had the worst of nights. My mom was driving in, so i stayed up tracking contractions and waiting for her. Woke up DH at 2:30 with 2ish minute apart contractions. We went in, found out that between 11:30 And 5:30 you have to go to the emergency room entry. Finally got to triage, and i was only a 2. They got 30 minutes of data from the monitors and had me pace the halls for an hour. It did nothing. No progress. So i got sent home. About 45 minutes later DS was up for the day. He is watching minions on my ipad while i struggle to sleep through contractions. I have less than no faith in my body anymore.

Happy Tuesday! I have to run to the pharmacy and to get groceries today. But first I have to find a way to get myself showered with two kiddos in the house.

I’m exhausted. Another awful night of sleep thanks to DS. We unfortunately are going to do CIO. I just can’t deal or function like this with a newborn due any day now. From 3-4 this morning I had to hold his door closed until he grabbed his twilight turtle and finally climbed back in bed to sleep. I feel like the worst mom ever but he needs to sleep too! I’m sick of bedtime taking 1-2 hours and then him waking up MOTN. He was a decent sleeper just a week ago. Wtf happened dude?!

Last night DS was running inside and slipped, busting his chin on the tile. Ended up at urgent care for a few stitches. I kept him home with me today and he's still so wild, like nothing ever happened.
This morning I went for my pre-op appointment and crap this is getting real now. I think I'm mildly freaking out inside about adding another child. Especially with last night's events.

My daughter is the same way. Whenever she’s sick or hurt, she’s still bouncing off the walls!

I had my postpartum visit today. I really do love my ob. She knows her patients and goes to bat for them. And it means a lot. She told me a bit more about the behind the scenes from how things went down during my hospital stay and I am quite thankful to have her as my doctor.
The high risk hospital ob team had looked at my records and seen a couple high bp readings when I wasn't pregnant, so they were going to move forward and treat me as chronic hypertensive rather than developing preeclampsia. She looked at the dates and realized, those high bp readings? Two out of the 3 were during my miscarriage. So high bp is understandable. And then she saw my spikes in bp overnight while medicated at the hospital, and she pushed them to reevaluate and showed them it wasn't a chronic hypertension issue. She talked with the mfm and everyone else and showed them the missing pieces in my medical history.
All that to say, find an ob you love. Find a practice you love. That truly loves their patients and cares for them.

ssm I'm glad your OB caught the readings and lined them up. I was so afraid of something being missed, but my team was awesome and made me feel really confortable during the whole process.

Rough day over here. We had a follow up with the vet and basically there was nothing else we could do for Pepper. She stopped eating, so we couldn't get her to take the meds to make her comfortable. We decided to let her go. Just really sad right now.

I'm stuck under a cluster feeding baby. Growth spurt I guess? I have no clue.
BUT!!! DS2 has his one month check up yesterday (at 5 weeks 1 day) and was 7 and a half freaking pounds and 21 inches. Like....whaaaaat??!! I feel like he's a giant although he's still technically in the first percentile for weight lol. His pedi was happy with his growth.
We have an ultrasound scheduled for tomorrow to check his kidneys to make sure they're not still dialated. So, fingers crossed it all looks ok.

trinitrotoluene I hope you got some sleep today and your body gets its shit together. @caitoat21 We are going through a rough stretch with DD where we have to let her cry for 20 minutes every night. She tried to delay bedtime before that. Is he getting teeth? We had a rough stretch back in the early summer where she was waking up at night. FX you can get it sorted out before baby arrives. ssm I’m glad you have such a great doctor who pays attention to these things. I don’t know much about the conditions you mentioned but it sounds like the DR is on top of things and that is exactly what you needed. thechickencoop Glad to hear your DS is gaining and hopefully his kidneys are ok. mkrupar I’m so so sorry. (Hugs)

I made jerk chicken tacos for dinner, so yummy. I’m working on making a mom friend from my yoga class, I’m kinda awkward in real life but she wanted my number last week and texted me today to check and see if I had the baby or would be in class tomorrow. No baby but I like yoga so I’m still kinda winning.
