How far along are you?: 30 weeks How big is baby?: Platypus Any upcoming appointments this week?: Nope Any new symptoms or changes?: I have been getting this SHARP shooting pain in my lower abdomen kind of where RLP is. It's usually only when I am laying down and it's one side at a time (it doesn't expand across my entire lower abdomen just either the right or left side) but there is literally no position of laying that makes it feel better. I usually have to get up and walk around for a bit (I take advantage of being up and pee of course) and then usually it'll feel better when I lay back down. Anyone else getting this? Is it just my business expanding and stretching? I have been getting a lot of braxton hicks contractions too. Rants/Raves/AW/Questions?: Started taking my iron supplement. I have been taking it before bed in hopes to avoid any upset stomach. FX. We finally got the nursery cleaned out and I even pulled out E's 0-3 month clothes. Whewwwwww really getting going now. hahaha GTKY: What is your favorite family tradition that you are most excited to include baby in on? Hmmm my favorite tradition is Christmas day. We do our huge family get together on Christmas Eve so Christmas Day we stay in our pajamas, eat leftovers for lunch, play games, watch movies, and then Chinese food for dinner. It's my favorite day of the year.

How far along are you?: 33 w 1 d
How big is baby?: Pineapple
Any upcoming appointments this week?: None
Any new symptoms or changes?: No real new symptoms, but I have noticed that I have had the random nausea redevelop.
Rants/Raves/AW/Questions?: Sleeping sucks. I toss and turn all night long because I can't get comfortable. I've used the stupid pregnancy pillow but it doesn't help. The other night I saw every hour.
GTKY: What is your favorite family tradition that you are most excited to include baby in on? Basically all of our Christmas traditions. We stay home Christmas day and every other year we travel the day after to my sister's house. They travel to ours on the alternate years. We have specific food we make each year for breakfast and dinner.

How far along are you?: 33,5 How big is baby?: Tim, the minion. Any upcoming appointments this week?: Thursday for an NST and fluid check. Any new symptoms or changes?: Everything hurts; I need to take it easy, but I have a toddler and too much to do. I'm not very hungry anymore and there's like no room left for liquids. Forget eating a real dinner. Rants/Raves/AW/Questions?: Just ready to be done. This last month is going to last forever. GTKY: family Halloween costumes (or COMICON costumes, or theme party costumes). I really love dressing up.

How far along are you?: 30w6d
How big is baby?: a summer cantaloupe
Any upcoming appointments this week?: yes, I had a midwife appointment yesterday and I have a BPP on Thursday.
Any new symptoms or changes?: Braxton hicks are becoming more common and it has become increasingly exhausting to climb stairs.
Rants/Raves/AW/Questions?: a couple of times the baby has kicked me so that I can see him, then I poked the same spot back and he responded by kicking back, which was awesome. Neither of my girls ever did that.
GTKY: What is your favorite family tradition that you are most excited to include baby in on? All things Christmas!

How far along are you?: 31w4d
How big is baby?: Coconut (WTE) / Foam finger (Ovia)
Any upcoming appointments this week?: My appt for Thursday got moved to today. The doctor said what I'm experiencing probably isn't pre-eclampsia, because when you have PE the spots don't go away. Out of an abundance of caution they drew blood, will test my regular urine sample for protein, and asked me to stay for a sono. HR and belly were measuring fine. Sono went well, baby is measuring exactly where he needs to be, at 42% for size right now (with 50 being average). Unless anything shows up on the labs, everything should be fine. Doc did recommend I get an eye exam, which I'm due for anyway.
Any new symptoms or changes?: My belly decided to pop some more the last few days. I actually had trouble with child's pose at yoga over the weekend - usually I can get into it no problem, but I had to spread my legs wider to get down, and if I went all the way to the mat, I couldn't breathe right!
Rants/Raves/AW/Questions?: Nasal allergies are the devil. I'm hoping the sudden drop in temperature will help but UGHHHHHHHHH I miss my Claritin D. (Taking regular Claritin... the other stuff just works faster lol.)
GTKY: What is your favorite family tradition that you are most excited to include baby in on?: Definitely Christmas stuff!

Any new symptoms or changes?: sciatica pain a lot. More BH
Rants/Raves/AW/Questions?: I'm sleepy
GTKY: What is your favorite family tradition that you are most excited to include baby in on? Just snuggling up next to the Christmas tree.

cakewench - I have a prescription from my OB for Claratin D so I’m guessing it is safe... How far along are you?: 33w4d How big is baby?: huge. We are measuring 2 weeks ahead. Friday baby was estimated at 5 pounds 6oz and head at the 88%. Any upcoming appointments this week?: nope. We are good until 10/30. Any new symptoms or changes?: Just tired. Rants/Raves/AW/Questions?: I’m officially getting comments from the public about how pregnant I look. GTKY: What is your favorite family tradition that you are most excited to include baby in on? This is hard. Probably Christmas since we do a lot with both sides of the family. I do want to try to get baby’s picture with Santa this year. Holidays are going to be horrible for the next year or so though because Grandma was someone who sent everyone cards for everything and made sure that there were always potlucks.

How far along are you?: 32w1d
How big is baby?: Pain D’epi (a long braided loaf of bread)or a Florida pomelo
Any upcoming appointments this week?: OB appointment on Friday
Any new symptoms or changes?: just feeling more and more enormous and getting reflux no matter what I eat!
Rants/Raves/AW/Questions?: So I’m a little annoyed with MIL bc she’s pressuring me about the delivery room. At this point I’m not worried that H won’t make it back in time for an induction. I decided that if I go into labor before he can get here, I want to do L&D alone. My main reason is I have this picture in my head of DH and I meeting her first before there are a million people passing her around. My Mom has said she will come (only 15-20 minutes from the hospital) if I change my mind and want someone there. MIL is a former L&D nurse and keeps saying “never in my 15 yrs did I ever see anyone do it alone!” This is what your very pregnant, very hormonal DIL wants right now. And people are close enough that I can change my mind up until the final hour.
GTKY: what is your favorite family tradition that you are most excited to include baby on? This is a tough one for me. I really like our Christmas morning usually, but this yr may be a little hectic if we have a NB and I’m not entirely sure DH will get to stay until Christmas.

How far along are you?: 30w4d How big is baby?: a cantaloupe Any upcoming appointments this week?: No, I had one with the physio and we've scheduled prenatal classes. It's all becoming frighteningly real. Any new symptoms or changes?: I had more sciatica/tailbone pain but the physio helped alleviate that and showed H how to massage me so hopefully we can keep it at bay. Also heartburn for 3 days in a row but not today so far. Rants/Raves/AW/Questions?: Baby girl keeps sitting on my bladder at night so I'm really not getting enough sleep. I got up 5 times last night GTKY: What is your favorite family tradition that you are most excited to include baby in on? I'm looking forward to making up our own for Christmas, definitely involving a pajama day in there

How far along are you?: 31w5d
How big is baby?: a bunch of asparagus
Any upcoming appointments this week?: 32w appointment is Friday
Any new symptoms or changes?: My ankles disappear by the end of the day.
Rants/Raves/AW/Questions?: I need to schedule another prenatal massage, that helped my hips so much.
GTKY: What is your favorite family tradition that you are most excited to include baby in on? I think holidays in general - but especially Halloween and Christmas. I love the period from Oct thru Dec, and can't wait to go see displays and lights as a family.

How far along are you?: 33 weeks today How big is baby?: Califlower Blossom or a Junior Tennis Raquet Any upcoming appointments this week?: Nothing until Monday Any new symptoms or changes?: Just uncomfortable. Random pains, lots of movement - but the uncomfortable kind, out of breath constantly. You know the absolute miserable part of pregnancy Rants/Raves/AW/Questions?: My 15 month old has decided that her crib is a torture chamber and she would rather sleep on the floor. Seriously child. This is all new and of course the week before we go out of town and leave her with my sister (or anyone for that matter) overnight. Great. Also, tossing and turning a lot. I feel you Waffle, I got up 5 times to pee last night too. GTKY: What is your favorite family tradition that you are most excited to include baby in on? I do LOVE Christmas. On Christmas Eve, we open one gift that is Christmas PJ's and a Christmas book. Then we have breakfast casserole cook overnight in the crockpot. Love it.

rooskie, cakewench, Decongestants are safe for use in pregnancy after the first trimester. The big concern is the effect they can have on BP which is why they aren't recommended for me (high risk for BP), but otherwise should be fine.

How far along are you?: 32w 5d
How big is baby?: Big. Nearly 4 lbs at growth scan last week.
Any upcoming appointments this week?: NST and fluid check on Friday.
Any new symptoms or changes?: D is super active and lately feels especially swishy in there, like she's twirling around.
Rants/Raves/AW/Questions?: As of today, I'm 7 weeks from delivery!! Insanity. I can't believe in 7 weeks or less, I should have an outside baby. I'm so excited and so scared/nervous to do this all again.
GTKY: What is your favorite family tradition that you are most excited to include baby in on? I'm interested to see what traditions we start on our own. I'm grateful that husband agreed with me that we wouldn't be traveling on Christmas, even though it means giving up seeing his family on Christmas Day, because it means that our kids will get to grow up having Christmas morning in their own house, which was very important to me. (We always traveled to my grandparents and spent the night, which was nice, but I wanted to celebrate Christmas ON Christmas, not Christmas Eve!) We are also starting the tradition that his family has of doing 7 Fishes dinner on Christmas Eve, and despite the insanity of throwing a party with a 3 week old, I think we will be doing it again this year. I love filling our home with the people we love - it makes me so happy.

I don't think nearly 4 lbs is considered big officedronette, This little man is 4 lbs even and my MFM told me that put him in the 41st percentile. ETA: fixed tag

ETA: fixed tag Yeah at 32 weeks I don't think that is bigger than normal. I think my book says this week for 31 weeks the baby is about 3.75 #. Now my girlfriend whose daughter has always been 99%tile and her son who weighed 5# at 31 weeks.....that is big. They said no vbac!

officedronette I think we'll be in the same hospital having babies at the same time. I'm going to be induced in seven weeks (seven weeks from yesterday if everything works out with scheduling).

How far along are you?: 30 weeks, 4 days
How big is baby?:
Cabbage
Any upcoming appointments this week?:
Tomorrow I go to the OB. She started me on 2 week appointments already. I feel like that was sooner than my other pregnancies.
Any new symptoms or changes?:
Finally better from the UTI. Feeling like I'm slowing down. DH has at least 2 work trips to squeeze in before the baby. My hips kill when I wake up but feel better once I get moving.
Rants/Raves/AW/Questions?: I feel like I should be doing something to get ready for this baby but I'm not.
GTKY: What is your favorite family tradition that you are most excited to include baby in on?
We rent a beach house every summer in the town my grandfather took us to every year since I was 6 weeks old.

sarahandben108 and ldubhawksfan - I should have been clearer. I didn't mean she was bigger than average or expected. Just that I think nearly 4 lbs is objectively big, given that we started off with poppy seeds. I can see how that was confusing, especially with my GD dx. jrun2013 - yup, unless one or both of these babies gets other ideas, we'll be hospital buddies!

Also, if I end up choosing a RCS, I'm most likely right at 7 weeks left with you both since last time they scheduled it at 38.5 weeks.

How far along are you?: 30+2
How big is baby?: Over 3lbs and 17in long each
Any upcoming appointments this week?: Nope
Any new symptoms or changes?: I think I'm having Braxton Hicks like all the time when I'm on my feet. I never had them with my daughter! Coupled with shortness of breathe, I'm just exhausted and have spent most of the past 2 days lying down. This pregnancy is still so up and down, some days I feel great and then some are like this. Hopefully I'll get some bursts of energy this weekend. We have so much to do before the babies get here. I can't believe I probably only have 6-7 weeks left!
Rants/Raves/AW/Questions?: Nothing I can think of right now
GTKY: What is your favorite family tradition that you are most excited to include baby in on? I love doing stockings, but that won't be too exciting with them this year. We've been doing matching pajamas for a few years now and I already ordered them for all of us so I'm looking forward to that!

I just got back from the eye doctor - you were all correct, it was visual migraines! Apparently my slightly blurry far vision corrected itself, but in exchange my near vision is now strained and that's why I've been getting the visual migraines. Looking at my eyeball photos he also pretty much ruled out preeclampsia and diabetes since those would affect the eyes and mine look fine. So new lenses for my glasses and a mystery solved!

How far along are you?: 31w5d
How big is baby?: Both are somewhere around the 75th percentile. Almost 5 pounds a piece as of last week, so I have LITERALLY 10 POUNDS OF BABY IN THERE RIGHT NOW. (Caps necessary.)
Any upcoming appointments this week?: Weekly appointment tomorrow, plus a GD appointment on Thursday.
Any new symptoms or changes?: All the symptoms. Sciatic nerve pain, some back pain, swelling. But honestly, this past week has been fantastic. I think the girls have finally figured out how to lay in there to not kill me haha.
Rants/Raves/AW/Questions?: I'm conflicted because I'm so ready to get this last bit done, but at the same time, I really want to milk the time we have left as a family of three.
GTKY: What is your favorite family tradition that you are most excited to include baby in on? Definitely Christmas. It's my very favorite, plus I'll be on maternity leave so no rushing back to work right after. It'll be so nice!

tatorhead328 Wow lady I don't know how you're hanging in there with twins in the 75th percentile! I bow down to you lol. I think my girls were 52nd percentile at my 28 week appointment so probably around 3.5lbs right now and there's so much pressure down below it feels like they're going to shoot out when I sneeze! And I'm just so exhausted! Will you have a scheduled induction (if they haven't arrived at a certain point) because of your GD?

belle0720, right now we have a scheduled C section on the books! (My first was a C-section and my doctor isn't a VBAC kind of guy.) It's actually kind of a bummer because both girls have been head down for the past month so I would be a prime candidate for a vaginal twin delivery. Our date is November 27th! But my doctor keeps saying AS LONG AS EVERYTHING STAYS THE SAME lol. I think he's amazed that we've made it this far with no complications yet.
