I’ll be delivering at the same hospital as last time, it’s a 12 minute drive away with no traffic. Last time we went in when contractions were 4 mins apart and got sent home. The drive back there a couple of hours later was during rush hour and was NO FUN. This time if we get turned away again I’ll just walk the halls until they admit me.

This is true, but the biggest plus for me is choosing the due date. I push to choose since I felt so bad about poor DS1 having a Christmas Eve birthday and I felt he wasn't fully ready when they scheduled it at 39w so I chose 39+4 for DS2. I'm going to ask for the same for this baby: 39+3ish since DS2 was 4 oz bigger and seemed more robust. My OB refuses to let me go anywhere close to 39 weeks this time 😞 #2's section was at 39+4 and my uterus was super thin. A TON of extra monitoring is going down this time around.

Mine was super thin too for #2. I will have to ask my new OB about that. She hadn't said anything about extra monitoring or delivering before 39w, but now I'm a little concerned. What kind of monitoring are they going to do, if you don't mind me asking? Also, may I ask if you're planning on having more than 3 children, have you talked to your OB about CS#4? My OB said she'd see how my uterus looks after this one, but I healed really well on the outside so she's hopeful.

My OB said she'd see how my uterus looks after this one, but I healed really well on the outside so she's hopeful. In between OB appointments, I'll also be seeing an MFM for additional ultrasounds to ensure my uterus is growing accordingly & still thick enough, along with NSTs later on. I should say when I say super thin, I mean supppeeerrr thin; my OB said another day or two & we would have been facing uterine rupture, most likely. Somehow, the thinning ute wasn't caught by the MFM the previous week. I see him for the first time in two weeks & I'll see him regularly until the end. My OB said he has a delivery date in mind, but hasn't told me yet. He wants the MFM's opinion first. But it could come down to my being in the MFM's office at 2 in the afternoon & in the OR at 7 that evening in the grand scheme of things. Nope. No number four. This is absolutely our last. I was actually planning on talking to my OB about permanent BC at my annual in September. Joke was on me, since the date I was due for that appointment turned out to be my first prenatal appointment.

It’ll be the same hospital I had Lexi at. It’s about 15 minutes with no traffic, 20-40 with traffic.

I said 20-30 but that's from home. If I happen to be at work, it would be 0 because I work at my delivering hospital.

10-20 minutes depending on traffic and parking. It's actually really close, just in the busiest part of the city.

First time we were almost an hour away. I went to L&D when my contractions were getting closer after 18 hours. They turned me away and gave me a sleeping pill. An hour later in was on my hands and knees in the living room feeling drugged but very awake and very in labour. We went back in (got back there about 2 hours after leaving) and I was 6cm. Second drive wasn’t that fun. This time we’ve moved. We’re less than 10 minutes drive to this hospital but I’m having an elective Caesarian anyway ha ha. This has been giving me so much anxiety to think about. I'm hopeful that I could convince them to admit me, but I know that's not how it always works. I should say, they offered for me to stay. But they told me it could be a really long time so suggested I’d rather go home. If I had a do over, I’d probably have stayed. The more you know, right?
