Morning everyone! I'm dreading this week. I work late tonight then travel the next two days, home for one, then travel again the next three. I've only been in my current job for 8 months, but more and more I feel like it's not a good fit. Sigh. Unfortunately, it's not really the job/role I thought it was/what my boss said it was (I asked a zillion questions before accepting the offer to try to avoid this exact situation!) and my work life balance kind of sucks. I hate adulting sometimes.

Hey all!! We got home last night from having the most amazing time in VA/DC for Rolling Thunder. It was pretty emotional riding through Arlington National Cemetery and visiting to tomb of unnamed soldiers. I still can't quite find the words to describe it all.

Ee, Inwould go with A for everyday, but if you really like B maybe get a few small plates or bowls to mix in.

Kids were up early. They don't vacation well. Waiting until at least 9 to start the pool shenanigans. Need more coffee.

This was me walking out the door after daycare drop off this morning.  This may have been the longest weekend ever experienced and I am feeling very grateful for the opportunity to be at work today. I plan to do very little and take a very loooooong lunch where I eat sitting down at a table not being touched by a small person. |

It's my day off and I was woken up insanely early by my kid even though she went to bed late.
But she is cute and is making me some chicken and burgers from her toy kitchen so I will keep her.

DD woke me up at 5:30a after I couldn't sleep until after midnight. I tried with no luck for a half hour to convict her to go back to sleep. Now she's back asleep and I'm still wide awake. Boo

I am at work, with a serious weekend hangover.
Such a great long weekend. My kids were so wrapped up in spending time with my mom and brother, that I barely had any parenting to do. My main role was to keep everyone slathered in sunscreen.
I drank too much and think I need to spend this week detoxing.

unheardof , I hope she feels better soon. Kids are sleeping, but I think I hear some stirring. We have story time at a library in a couple hours, but otherwise not much planned. MH is going out of town for work, so he'll be switching cars with me this afternoon. Thanks! She woke up hungry so that's a good sign, right? She ate some toast and hasn't complained so now she's chugging pedialyte. |
