I just bought my one way ticket to crazy town and commited to making Halloween costumes. Nothing crazy but did I really need to add another project to my ever growing list of partially completed or not yet started list? Ds will be a wolf, I'm going to convert a gray hoodie. Dd will be Little Red Riding Hood. I'll make a little cape and she can wear the "My 1st Halloween" underneath. I'm still bitter that mh won't agree to David the Gnome and Swift the fox.
So I'll be popping in to Joann's for costume supplies. I might grab an egg and cheese biscuit because I'm dragging. I haven't slept well the last couple nights and woke up with a sore throat. I'm hoping it's just from being run down and not an actual sickness. A calorie bomb of a breakfast sandwich seems like a good place to start.

Lakes, God bless you and your craftiness. There is no way in hell I'd ever be making costumes. DD1 will be a pumpkin, and DD2 a strawberry. Both are thos costumes that you slip on over their clothes...

I'm feeling pretty run down too. B had something over the weekend and was a clingy fuss pot.
I just want to crawl into bed and take a 2 hr nap.

Props to you for making the costumes Lakes! So cute judyblume14. DD was a pumpkin her first year and a strawberry her 2nd lol. Good picks! I have to fish the pumpkin costume out of storage in our basement. I had plans to reuse it for B, but that depends on me finding it...

My SIL announced her (<8 week) pregnancy at her son's 1st bday party on Sunday. To like 60+ people. I had a big internal cringe, but tried to get over it and show my happiness. Her first took several years and IVF, so I can understand her enthusiasm about this surprise. Maybe I'm just really jaded...

I will sit on your bench ellabee. I understand being excited and having a bunch of family there at one time but it's not for me.

H & I have been together 8 years today. Olive Garden for dinner and I can't wait. Work has me mentally exhausted. I can't wait for some days off I have coming up. Thank goodness E slept well last night.

We have no Halloween costume plans yet and it's stressing me out. H loves to wait until last minute and then try to put together some elaborate home made costume and I'm all pick a theme and order online at the beginning of October!

Little Red Riding Hood came out a little bit like Handmaid's Tale 😬 I just need to hand stitch some ribbon or a toggle on for closing purposes. Under the spoiler in case they're huge. Special thanks to Beatbo for taking the time out of his busy schedule to model.

Where my spreadsheet girls at? According to my tracking (which is a little lazy), since returning to work, I have pumped about 19.5 gallons of breastmilk over about 100 hours during work. Moo. My chart is a sad little zig-zag line though, dropping at an alarming rate, lol.

It's officially happened. I have a legit mom group now. It's the library-playground group. We finally exchanged numbers today. There's a group text. It's good but at the same time I hate being super social. Some are already members at the YMCA and the others want to sign up and go to classes together. I am...not about that gym life.

I'm keeping up with my spreadsheet too judyblume14. I'm at 18 gallons since return to work (26 since M was born) and a steadily decreasing trend line as well. Keep up the good work!

This is also an awkward age for socializing. All the kids are mobile but require supervision. Ds is the oldest at 2.5. So you start a conversation but then your kid is up on the slide or runs off to the sandbox, etc. So many unfinished discussions and not knowing what you've said to who. Sighs.

I totally agree with this. It's mostly just stressful to be supervising but trying to pretend like I can also carry on a conversation at the same time. I feel like I have a different personality for socializing when I'm around my kids vs when I'm solo.

And I don't mind it at the library or playground but I don't like going out with other people and their kids yet, it's stressful. I've done the zoo with corner neighbor and the arboretum with another mom friend (who I've known for 8 years so low pressure) but it's not as enjoyable as when I do those trips solo. When it's just me I'm all "oh hey toddler. You want to stare at the caribou for 20 minutes? Okay cool." But that doesn't really fly with other people/toddlers in the mix.

Lakes, I have a little mom group too that started at my lactation circle. We're graduating to a play group together. It's nice, but my schedule is wonky so I always have an out from being too social. C loved playing with other babies though so it's good for her. You spreadsheet mamas are impressive! I stopped tracking around 3 weeks because it wasn't good for my mental health. I'm noticing that my morning pump that used to be 5+ oz is dwindling down to sometimes 3.

Guys. I'm actually going to be home for one of the free paper shredding events my town holds. I'm quite excited about this.

My halloween costumes for my pair is simply an orange tee with Boo on it, one for each of them. But I am doing full on FX zombie makeup for one of my mums work colleges. Currently making bits I can stick to her for that "my cheek fell off" look. ooooo TEETH. Both my boys have a nasty cold, so much snot and coughing
