Our lists are long and constantly changing. MH isn't into serious discussions until we find out the sex. It feels like we will never find a name we love so firmly as DDs. I feel this way too. Last time MH didn’t really even care to talk names until after we knew the sex but we’ve talked a little bit and (I know it’s early...) it seems like nothing will ever feel as right as DD’s name did. I’m glad we have a while to go!

Our girl name is currently Gemma, MN possibly Madeline or Margaret. Can't decide on a boy name. We both love Jamie but DS's MN is James. Otherwise we're lost on boy names.

@toncupchalice, I love Morgane for a girl too, i would write it with en E at the end. H thinks it is a guy name in the US so he is not sold. Glad to see you have it in your girl list name I have taught easily over 1,000 and all my Morgans have been girls.

I know both male and female Morgan's. I think it could go either way
If I saw "Morgane" I would probably pronounce it "Mor-gain"
ETA spelling.

fatpony I love Juniper too! chriskoo Thanks! H isn't sold on Levi, so it may get middle name spot, but I can still hope! And I love Abigail, but we have an Abbey cat so I'm not sure if we would actually use it or not. I love Esther, but I'm not enthusiastic about the nn possibilities, and I looove Abbey. H wouldn't talk names until we knew the sex for the first one, but the second one he was more willing to discuss earlier. I haven't really tried to talk about it yet this time. My name choices are still the same as before haha. Also, H never lets me name our babies until like 2 days after they are born. He wants to see the baby before he gives him/her an appropriate name. I swear if I didn't know he was just indecisive I would accuse him of just trying to wear me down so I'll agree to his name choice just to have the baby named!

DH and I probably won't discuss names seriously till we know the sex. Some of my favorites for a girl include Margot, Penelope (nn Poppy), and Jacqueline (which was DH's grandmother's name), but I'm not set on anything yet. For boys I don't have as many front-runners, but that's mostly because there are a ton of boys names that I like, but none that I super love. Generally, pretty traditional with those.

I love Penelope sooooo much, but it makes H think of & all the times I've made him sit through it because I also love that movie soooooo much. Gosh, my H is quite the name buzzkill.

My H is a buzzkill too. He’s pretty much like a 10-year-old boy, and tells me every nickname that kids will come up with for the names I suggest. We do have a pretty long list of names that we cross off in general though, with both of us being teachers. For almost every name one of us comes up with, we have an association with a student and can’t picture using the name.

My son's kindergarten teacher said she had that same problem, but after having my son & the other boy that shared his name last year, she's telling everyone she knows that that name makes the best kids.

DH and I like (for a boy): Clark, Liam or Henry. Nothing for a girl though. Clark is my son's name, I (obviously) love it! And hi, lurker here who is going to jump in a bit if that's ok.

If a girl, Mia Emilia. If a boy, Seth William. Both are variations of family names :-)
