Welcome to the IVF check-in for October 3! Check-ins will be every Monday (babyhopes) and Thursday (bonzo). If we've left you off the check-in, or if you'd like to be added or removed, please let us know! This is a check-in for those who are doing IVF or FET. Please don’t hesitate to use this check-in for IVF/FET info and support even if you’re not currently cycling. If you are interested in joining, please fill us in on your cycle. Everyone is welcome. Also, please update us along the way! Asterisks will appear by your name if you do not update us in a check-in. After four consecutive asterisks (2 weeks), you will be removed from the list. Don’t fret if you are removed from the list, check in again and we will add you back. Once you get a strong repeat beta, congrats! We eagerly await your 3TIF Grad Check-In posts! We encourage you to intro on PAIF, and while here in the meantime, please consistently use warning tags in posts and siggies, and be mindful of your status, especially on 3TIF outside this check-in. Had my second lining check today and it is actually thinner. It went from 6.59 down to 5.3mm. So annoying. My RE prescribed me Viagra suppositories and I go back in Monday. We'll cancel the cycle if it still looks like shit.
Nurse said they'll do a check of my lining if we cancel this cycle. I'm not sure what she called it, but they basically take a biopsy of my lining and see if it is receptive to implantation. It is not the ERA, but close..

QOTW - fall always makes me think of pies. Something pie themed? Maybe I'm just in the mood for pie ... {Spoiler}Ultrasound is Thursday and I am still a nervous wreck.

babyhopes - sorry your lining is not cooperating. Hope the new supplements help! I got my fert report! Of the 33 retrieved, 25 were mature, and 23 fertilized with ICSI. Now we wait!

daisy818, wow, great numbers! FX! babyhopes, well shit! Not the news I was looking for. I'd definitely do the ERA/biopsy. Plus, the biopsy acts like an endometrial scratch. Bonus.

babyhopes, I hope the suppositories help! daisy818, that's a fantastic report! I'm ok with the fact that our RE couldn't get us in earlier for our WTF, since this is giving me more time to process and think of all the questions! babyhopes, yes, our first was a basic antagonist. Until the retrieval, everything looked like i was doing better on the Dragisic protocol -- more follicles, better groupings of sizes, more even growth. But ultimately, same number mature (2) and then both were poor quality this time, while last time we had the one that grew to day 5.

babyhopes, I’m so sorry about your thin lining. Hugs! There is still hope after the Viagra. mela99, I hope Thursday goes well. daisy818, what a great fert report! bonzo, I hope you get some answers soon! AFM, I am seriously considering fibbing about my period start day and the BCP so I can get on this November cycle, and this is why. Doctor said the latest I could start is tomorrow night. I am told to call when I get my period. I could give myself until Thursday to see if AF shows up, and then say I started BCP the day before but only if I am positive I get it. I don’t understand what one more day on BcP would do. If I still don’t have it by Thursday, I’ll do the December cycle. The only reason I even am taking them is because my RE batches and he puts all IVF fresh and frozen cycle patients on the same last birth control date and the same baseline ultrasound date. I figure if I go in for the criterion ultrasound and something is off like it has been before, I cancel it, and I’m only out a month of birth control pills. I would still have to have a good lining and good reports and blood work either way in order to continue, and I really don’t want to take BCP for two months instead of three weeks and go through all of this during the holidays for one day. I’m usually a follow the rules kind of girl, but since I’m not using Lupron, and he said I would be on my own schedule and will go in more frequently for ultrasounds because of it, they would set up transfer when my hormone levels and lining was good, and it didn’t even matter if I was with the others.

babyhopes WTF, lining! I am praying Viagra gives your lining the boost it needs! Fx for Monday. It’s so incredibly frustrating. mela99 GL! daisy818 holy moly!!! Amazing fertilization! When is your next update? bonzo I’m glad you are ok with the wait. Refine that list of questions! hoosiermama76 FX AF shows up fast. AFM, tomorrow is my lining check. I’m a bundle of nerves. Even my acupuncturist is nervous. He practically doubled the needles in my abdomen for last night’s treatment. Hopefully everything looks thick and trilaminar tomorrow... QOTW: I’ll report back!

daisy818, Amazing fert report. What’s new with you lemonliz? Are you trying to switch jobs to get coverage? FX you get fabulous insurance coverage soon and can burn the bench! I’m sorry this protocol didn’t turn out any better, bonzo. Maybe MDLF with HGH would be a good fit. It’s a good one for DOR. Hang in there. hoosiermama76, I can understand the frustration in waiting for AF. I don’t see how a day or two will hurt anything. My clinic bathches and I absolutely hate it! If it’s for batching reasons, I would go ahead and start and hope AF arrives today. I am thinking so many good thoughts for your lining, birch113. It is so damn frustrating to have to deal with lining issues on top of everything else. FX! FX!

babyhopes, I hope the Viagra helps. I'm sure you already know this, but Pom juice and red raspberry leaf tea can help with lining too. Isn't there an EFT test or something like that that tests for the correct proteins in the lining? Is that what they are looking for? mela99, GL on Thursday! daisy818, Awesome fert report! Will you get a day 3 update or will it be day 5? Are you still doing a fresh transfer? bonzo, I hope your WTF goes well. My SIL added HGH to her protocol her second round and it was much improved. hoosiermama76, hope AF shows soon. birch113, FX for a thick triple layer lining! AFM, My last birth control pill was last night! Now just Lupron and baseline appointment on Monday! It finally feels like something is happening even though actual transfer is still about 3 weeks away. Fall leaves, maybe?

Just left monitoring. I won’t know for sure if we are going ahead or not until this afternoon. My lining was between 9.6 and 11 something but it was not uniform. I have a triple stripe in some areas and a double stripe in others. I also have a cyst on my left ovary, though that won’t be an issue as long as it’s not producing its own hormones. They want my doctor to review all of the images and we need the blood work before they can make a final call. I was feeling pretty OK about it all until the PA asked me how many embryos we have left. I got the sense that if we had a lot, they would be more likely to just go ahead and do the transfer but since we only have one good one, they’re going to be very conservative. Of course I don’t want to transfer our precious embryo if conditions aren’t right, but damn it, can’t my uterus just get it together? It’s going to be a long day.

bonzo, hope the RE can figure out a good plan going forward. Your dose of Omnitrope was higher than mine, so I'm no help on that front hoosiermama76, hope AF shows up ASAP! birch113, I'm sorry your body is not cooperating fully and you're stuck in limbo today - FX for you! bananas22, good luck with Lupron! skidevil87, hope your baseline goes well today! AFM, got my update from the embryologist - we still have 20 very good looking embryos! She said she can't remember seeing this many like this on Day 3, and she's going to hold off on assisted hatching till tomorrow to see how things go today. I'm super happy and thankful about this, but also super WTF with my body - how come you couldn't do this on your own even once during the last 3 years?? Now just to wait and see how the embryos keep doing with the sperm DNA coming into play.

Hi all, May I please join this check-in? I was on it at the other forum, but then life and other things happened. *Triggers*: several losses, one daughter, another loss last month (all natural pregnancies). My husband has a Robertsonian translocation and I am 37, so we are FINALLY moving on to IVF with PGD.
We are looking to start with my December period (expected Dec 1 or just before). I need to drop about 15 more pounds to be under the BMI cutoff for my RE, but hoping for 20 actually. On November 10, I am going in for a hysteroscopy and a mock transfer. This will be a freeze all cycle. We are lucky to have pretty good insurance coverage (of course not 100%, and still quite the out of pocket fees, but relatively speaking, it is OK), but all the calls with all the insurance nonsense are not pleasant; sometimes it's just these giant loops of nonsense. Just completed my CD3 testing for one of the preauthorizations, and I might be inching toward DOR, but seem to be OK. AFC is 10, FSH is 6.2, LH is 4.5 and E2 is 24. waiting on my AMH, which was about 2 in January. Hope it's Ok for me to join.

twohopes, welcome! daisy818, that’s all so amazing! Hopefully these are all great signs! bonzo, how are you feeling? I’m on mobile so tagging is tough! I’ll get the rest soon! AFM: Went in to check on my cyst this am. It’s dwindling and my AFC is heading back up. All looks good to start next week. I could have started this week but my RE called to say she wanted to push another week because the new work they were doing in the lab wasn’t quite done. When I got to the waiting room this morning, there were like 1,000 people starting so I think it was actually to try and spread us out more. Which makes me a tad grumpy, but whatever. QOTW: I’ve got nothing....

twohopes, welcome! I'll add you to the next check in! happyin14, I'm doing better. CD1 today, and I've noticed that my cramps are always especially bad the first period after a retrieval! Thanks for asking! I'm glad your cyst is going down!

Hi, ladies! twohopes, welcome!!! I have started to spot, and even though my clinic is one doctor and batched, they have agreed after my desperate pleas to customize my own schedule. I will not be with the others, I can start the pill this weekend, and I will not use Lupron, just maybe ganirelex to stop me from ovulating, which I liked so much better!!!

Glad you won't have to wait, hoosiermama76! Or use Lupron So I had been worried about OHSS, but now it appears that OHSS risk symptoms have gone away and the pain I'm feeling is probably a UTI (they're going to test me to confirm), possibly from the catheter during retrieval. So that's fun.

babyhopes , I am sorry your lining is thinner. Fingers crossed that it looks better on Monday! daisy818 , so exciting for 20 day 3 embryos! Are you getting another report on Day 5? PIO shots suck. Are you doing them yourself or DH? hoosiermama76 so amazing that they agreed to do that. What good news. I hope this cycle is the one for you!! happyin14 , glad everything is looking good to start next week twohopes welcome and good luck! birch113 I am sorry about things not being uniform. I have never heard of that before ugh. I hope that you are still good to go for this cycle. We had the suppression check this morning and everything looked great on ultrasound. Just waiting to hear about the bloodwork. The tech that I had this morning is the one that noticed my c-section scar and brought it up to my doctor which precipitate the surgery. It was the first time I had her again because she was off on maternity leave all summer and she said it looks amazing. Made me feel good and like the surgery wasn't a total waste. I start acupuncture on Monday. Never have done it before so I am a little bit nervous but I am sure it will be fine. Trying to get through this cycle and stay positive but its just been so hard lately. So many triggers. Two of my close friends just had their second babies this week. My sister's shower is next weekend. Just found out another close friend got pregnant without trying. 90% of the time I won't let this stuff get to me and I am genuinely happy for my friends/family but it wears on me after time.

I’ll be back to tag!
Today has been crazy. I had to drive an hour and a half each way to see my RE in the office he was working out of today for a final decision. He was really happy with my lining so we have a green light for October 13! Transfer is one week from today!
