I just want to give you all big big hugs. I also struggle with the idea that I can’t get too attached because what if I don’t get to take a baby home at the end of this. It’s such a mindfuck. And if nothing else, not any one of us are alone. ❤️ My toddler is so excited for this baby. I'm so anxious about a loss now. How would I explain it to her? WHY AM I EVEN THINKING ABOUT THIS?SAME. I hate brains that are just out to get us. Can y'all not? We have enough to worry about without you making shit up for us to worry about.

I'm in this boat with you all as well. Ever since I found out I was pregnant I had a hard time being excited about it and it didn't seem real. Each milestone I get close to I think maybe now I will feel attached but I still don't. Mh has been amazing and very understanding of my feelings but I just wish I felt how I did with my first pregnancy with DD. I was so excited and happy and I feel awful that I'm not this time around. I think this all the time about my first pregnancy too. I had moments of anxiety but Mostly I just went along in bliss. I wish I had that old enthusiasm back.

Yes, yes, yes ArielMermaid. I’m just nodding along to all of this so hard so I feel like we should just declare that this is all normal and not crazy.

Pregnancy is a real mindfuck. I don't feel very connected to #2. It's like it's not real. I can't even fathom having a newborn and my stubborn toddler. Maybe when we have our AS and find out the sex it will be more real. I've done literally zero to prepare for this kid. DD is still in the crib so I need to start thinking about how we are going to do sleeping arrangements. We used the rock n play for the first 3 months or so, so I have time. It's just... not real? This is very similar to how I'm feeling as well! Except we found out it's a boy 2 weeks ago and I'm still struggling to connect😔 I thought buying baby boy clothes would help, and it kind of did, but not as much as I had hoped. Impatiently waiting for it to happen. One of these days....

Alright, weird, possibly TMI symptom incoming, so you've been warned. Yesterday, after I took a quick shower in the morning, I discovered there was a kind of puffy welt-like bump on/around/I-don't-know-how-to-describe-where-on my crotch. It's like where my leg meets my trunk? In the crease between vulva and thigh? And it's a good few inches long, going from just below the bottom of my hip joint to maybe a little on my butt. So that was interesting and sensitive to touch, but H didn't see anything imminently worrisome. I figure it's something like an inflamed gland or something.
Well, after work, I palpated it more and now it's hard, almost like scar tissue. Tried to give it as much air as reasonable and keep it from rubbing against anything. This morning it's not only the same, but now it hurts much more. Waaaaaay more sensitive. I could walk around my office without a problem yesterday, today it's like poking sore gums. Constantly.
My plan of attack after work is to take another shower, maybe try to gingerly dry it out with some soap or hydrogen peroxide or rubbing alcohol (that already sounds painful) and hope that at least eases the problem. It's only on the one side, too. The other side is perfectly fine. If it doesn't clear up tomorrow, I'm planning on bringing it up to my OB on Friday. MH is already at "gotta see a doctor" because he jumps to 11 with everything for me this pregnancy, but I feel like it's something that just needs a little extra attention at the moment.
Am I off-base, based on how this sounds? Should I be more concerned or KOKO?

Rama you’re sure it’s not a gnarly ingrown hair? I was thinking a gland of some sort too but for that location idk. ETA: maybe a cyst of some sort? I’d get it checked out just based on the pain.

Rama is it maybe just like raw skin? With all the pregnancy discharge I can see it being a damp area and getting irritated?

It definitely has a different structure/texture/whatever than the same spot on the other side, so there is something there, I'm just not sure what it is. But your suggestion is where my "I should just keep it dry and clean for a couple of days" train of thought came from, too.

Rama, boil possibly? If so, definitely get checked out. I required an antibiotic for mine a few weeks ago. If it would help, I can post a picture of mine to compare.

Honestly, I have no idea. It's literally in a spot I can't bend to see, even before getting pregnant, so I'm even more hopeless there. And my H is hilariously grossed out by zits and such, so he doesn't exactly want to go digging, hahaha. I think, as long as I can still mostly function, I'll wait until I see the OB on Friday instead of trying to shoehorn another appointment in tomorrow (or pay Urgent Care fees, ugh). Trying to get a same-day appointment just sounds like a pain in the ass (hah!).

I don't think it's a boil, 'cause I haven't noticed any leakage on it? But I'll have H take another good look tonight and maybe take you up on that if it seems about right.

Leakage doesn't happen in the beginning. Mine started as just a red sore spot and then got bigger and sorer as time went on. It finally opened and leaked about a week from when it started. The tend to happen under arms or in the groin/butt area.

It's stayed approximately the same size, maybe a smidge smaller because it's...condensed? Like (REALLY WEIRD COMPARISON INCOMING) when your nipple goes from unerect to erect. About the same size, just more solid now.

Rama is it like a varicose vein or more like a cyst? I’m weirdly invested in this. I would call your OB in the morning and see if they can’t mive you appointment up a day.

I noticed today that my boobs feel very hot. They aren't sore or anything, but there is a definite change in temperature compared to the rest of my body. I don't really remember having any problems with them during my last pregnancy.

I follow Jason Biggs’ wife Jenny on insta and she posted a story she did while pumping and just the noise made my boobs feel all tingly and weird. Calm the eff down ladies, your time will come.

I've had similar spots pop up - one in a really similar spot as yours, but about the size of a quarter, and one on my neck (but definitely not a lymph node). They both reacted similarly, where the more I poked and palpitated them, the harder and more sensitive they got.
I never did get either one checked out, but did my best to leave them alone aside from a quick cursory size check, and they very slowly did go down after a few weeks. I assume they were cysts?
Anyway, I would go ahead and get yours checked, or at least call the nurse line, given the size. Plus pregnant.

Anyone else have lower BP during pregnancy? I started to get pretty dizzy yesterday, along with heart palpations and seeing black spots. My BP averaged 90/50 yesterday, which I know is still considered normal. Anyhow, I had dizzy spells and lower BP with my last full term pregnancy too, but not floaters in my vision or heart palpitations. My DH wants me to call my OB today about it. Think it's okay to just wait until my appointment Tuesday morning and discuss it all then though? I don't want to bother the doc if it's NBD.

mattsgirl2004 i just looked up the bp stuff and it is supposed to be at its lowest during 2nd tri...at this point with dd i had bps of 90s/60s... it is supposed to return to normal/increase during 3rd tri. if it worries you i would mention it, but i think it's pretty common at this point.

mattsgirl2004 Ditto polson. My OB and one of my apps warned me that BP dips in second tri, so that wouldn't worry me much. The floaters give me the most pause (because I'm hypersensitive about pre-e), but if you're generally doing okay, I don't think you'd need to rush to the OB if you don't want to. That said, don't ever feel like you are a burden on your care team. Their literal jobs are to take care of your health and you shouldn't feel like you're bothering them to ask whatever question is nagging at you.

Thanks for the help and input Rama and polson! I'm not concerned at all with my BP. It dipped pretty low when I was pg with DD2 and my OB just told me to drink more water and rest when I could. I got a little more concerned with the heart palpations and floaters that have been happening. I think that's from the low BP too though. I'm staying on top of my water today, which has a helped a little. Wish I could sit and rest though! Anyhow, thanks again.

I asked my OB about heart palpitations since I have them often - and she said unless there were issues of dizziness and vision issues that its mostly normal. And then if it was accompanied by other stuff, she said she might put a monitor on me for 24 hours. So nothing emergent, just she wanted to keep informed. And that might even have to do with the high risk stuff. I don't think you need to rush out today to the dr but def bring it up on Tuesday. Or call.

Is unfettered rage a symptom? I feel like everything is putting me at an 11 lately. No patience for anything.
Its either a symptom or people are just getting dumber and I'm too old and tired to deal with it anymore.

Is unfettered rage a symptom? Yes, 100%. I didn't get this bad until the last like month of my first pregnancy. I'm sure I'm going to be a peach when I'm that pregnant this time.

I just found my lunch in the work fridge from at least 2 weeks ago. I don't even remember putting it in there. I never use that fridge. And I've been looking for my lunch bag. So add me to the dumber club
