Most nights, I can hear my son talking to his stuffed animals after bedtime. I can't tell what he's saying. Not sure if this is weird/creepy or adorable/cute. Definitely adorable! And if he's more of a lone wolf it could be his way of decompressing each day.

Well hello. First time I've been able to catch up since Friday. Parenting is kicking my ass lately. Exhausting. On Saturday, chrisy01 took me to see the new Pirates movie and that was really fun. I think the last time I got out to see a movie with a friend was the first Hunger Games. X threw a legit tantrum today. Surprised the hell out of us because he's always been so laid back. I think teething and allergies are doing a number on him. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

We did a BBQ today and that was fun. I bought the Beyond Meat burgers that bleed and they freaked me out. Too much like meat for my liking.
One of my sisters has decided to go vegetarian and start transitioning to vegan so I'm really excited about that.

We tried bringing him to bed and hour later, it was a disaster, he needs this time.

Definitely adorable! And if he's more of a lone wolf it could be his way of decompressing each day. I never thought about that but yeah, maybe he needs to talk it out with trustworthy stuffed animals. It's cute. LO does this too. Especially if he's mad at with me or dh. By the time he works it out I hear an I love you mommy from him.

So LO just threw up. I'm thinking it's because he ate two hot dogs instead of his normal one. Should I keep him home or can I send him to DC. It's our regular DC today
Edit: from tomorrow to today because it's after midnight.

Luckily none of the million stuffed animals got hit except for a little bit of Tigger's tale so it was fairly easy to clean up.

Also, he's allowed to sleep with one toy. He's gotten around this by telling me his animals need a toy. So he and his 2 main animals each sleep with their own toy. I'll hear him talking to them about the toys and about how they have to play with them. It's adorable

I think kids talking to their stuffed animals is adorable. Josie has her two buddies -- they're so important to her. She wants to be a very social creature, but has some natural introverted tendencies that need her to take a break and recharge, fairly often. She likes her buddies close during those times. Charlie hasn't shown a preference for anything like that, yet, but Josie keeps trying to make it happen with a zebra for him. If he's even remotely fussy, she goes to find the it to see if it can help him

That's so sweet guster! Sam does this with Ben too and then gets upset if Ben doesn't want whatever he decided would make him feel better. Usually it's one of his animals and Ben doesn't really care about animals yet- he's too busy exploring

chrisy01 If you think it's just from over eating, I'd take him.

We always say it's like Charlie's trapped in a whatever room he's in and trying to find the secret lever to let him out. He has to touch everything 100 times and explore every corner of a room.

cagoldi hi! I was wondering where you were and if you were okay. I'm sorry parenting is kicking your as, how's X sleeping? Mostly he sleeps great. 7:30 pm through 6:30 am with no wake ups (knocking on all the wood). Naps at home are usually good, but terrible at Daycare. Saturday morning he woke us up at 4:30 but I'm sure it was because his teeth are bothering him. I would love to see him sleep until 7 or later on weekends but I know I'm being greedy with that. Having an early, consistent bedtime results in somewhat early wake ups and that probably won't change for many years so I'm just going to keep guzzling coffee like my life depends on it.
