I'm shopping at work, but maybe that's not a confession around here 😉.

Apparently today is National Coffee Day? So even though I have a cup of coffee that I brought from home, I'm leaving work soon to go to Starbucks and get coffee for anyone in the office who wants them.
DNW to work today.

Charlie has his 18 month appt this morning (only 2 weeks late!) and we have flu shots scheduled, as well. MH is taking the day so we'll probably stop for lunch after the shots.

LO is still sleeping but dh works early so it looks like I'm taking lo to DC instead of resting.
FFFC: I want to wake him up so dh has to take him since he has to drive by there anyway

Dunkin didn't know it was national coffee day apparently. There was nothing special going on.
DH is in a sour mood.. He hauled 3 loads of water last night (2000 gallons) and when we got up this morning the cistern was lower than when he started. My cousin used the water hose and didn't turn it off.. Drained over 2000 gallons in the yard.. I feel bad for him when he wakes up. A had a whole day planned and now it's shot. He's pissed.

I know they're little and they don't understand the impact of their words- but it still hurts.

I'll take some of that sleepy magic dust too please peachsmama! I stayed up till midnight watching Grey's. Then S was up from 3:30-5:30 then finally crashed again till 7:30. So I'm late for work and sooo tired! I stopped for a cappuccino AND a soda this morning. Sugar high coming on soon. S spent those 2 awake hours giving me approximately 4,236 ""oh boy" hugs (she always says "oh boy" when she hugs us tight). Which sounds sweet, but the moment is quickly ruined when she shoves her feet in my face 3,225 times. Then she would cry and say "guppies" between sobs. No guppies, no more feet in face, GO TO SLEEP CHILD!

How do I nicely tell DH to stop talking to our children past like 8 pm? They only want me at night which is exhausting but when he "helps" it just sets them off and then bedtime drags on even longer. But he gets offended when they tell him to stop talking to them. He's going to be really hurt if I say it..

We had a rough bedtime and then midnight wake up/scream fest. Get it together, N13 kids!

I know they're little and they don't understand the impact of their words- but it still hurts. Evie does this too...we have had numerous talks about how the words she says can hurt and she needs to be kind and considerate when she talks. Like, don't tell mommy she is the meanest mommy ever, or that her belly is big. Yeah kid, thanks, mommy knows, but I don't need to hear it from an almost 4 year old.

My FFFC is that I'm tired of listening to people complain about things they're unwilling to do anything about.
This post is brought to you by recent sleep talks on my other board.

I complain about sleep, but I'm not good at sleep training. I try, but won't follow through. I did night wean, that counts for something right 🙄?

Morning! I'm enjoying a hot cup of coffee, unfortunately nothing fancy.
H woke up at 5:30 and cried for a minute and then I assumed he went back to sleep. No, he started babbling and laid in there talking for over an hour before N woke up and I told her to go in and talk to him. He never wakes up before 7 so I hope it's not the start of something new.
Tonight we are going to the high school homecoming game for a little bit and then we have friends coming from Des Moines for the weekend who will be getting in late tonight. I'm looking forward to a low key weekend.

I've never sleep-trained and I couldn't do it, I'm sure. Atticus was a nightmare sleeper but I didn't do anything about it. I'm a huge pushover. The worst, really.

So tired.
Sinny doesn't want to let me sleep and then just as I was finally able to get him to settle at 5, X woke up with a monster poop.
So glad it's Friday.

Thats where my kids are jerks. They won't sleep/lay down if we're both not in the room. They are very concerned about where the other parent is and won't calm unless they we're there. But DH can't talk to or touch them or me or they lose it. God I can't wait for my house to be done! Sleeping in one room sucks.

My FFFC is that I'm tired of listening to people complain about things they're unwilling to do anything about. +1, but everything in life. Like EVERYTHING. Seriously, there must be something good in your life. And don't tell me you're fat and have no idea why, while sitting in front of me eating a bag of chips.
