Really? Mine have always been free. I have a policy through United health care and I've always had to pay for my flu shots. The kids are covered though.

This was on MH Christmas list last year, it was sold out everywhere but is available this year. I'm debating getting it, I envision less help and more fights with B because he'll want to play but not know how to. I'm thinking this is one of those things that I 'forget' about.

That's a lot mwhip ...but I'm dying laughing over here. I would laugh too if it wasn't my life. Wiping his butt seems infinitely worse than when he had his first heart attack and had to lay flat for 8 hours, but was still drinking water and had a saline drip...and I had to help him pee in a plastic container. You're a good wife.

I literally laughed out loud! I do need to go to Bed Bath & Beyond. Why do I need to go to BB&B? Because one of our dogs ripped a hole in our sheets yesterday. H informed me of it after I started dinner and sat down. Most people would take the sheets off the bed, not H. He left them, so I stripped the bed, washed the sheets, stitched the hole up, then flipped the sheets so it's at our feet now. WHY in gods name would you see there was a hole, and leave the sheets on the bed? And it was like a 6" long tear. At least it was on his side, but seriously dude, strip the god damn bed! Yes, we do have spare sheets, but I don't like them as much. So yeah, I need to go buy new sheets now. This is my life.

mwhip, you need a vacation and so do I. Let's meet somewhere warm with cold drinks, we'll get rowdy and forget about annoying husbands.

Example A
Me: hey, so what do you have to do today? MH: ugh, get a haircut. Me: .....
Like, I wonder what life is like to have exactly ONE thing on your to do list for an entire 12 hour time frame.

We have that. Plus, we have the actual original one. And the original Sega. Super Nintendo, Game cube, game boy, various playstations and xboxes. We're videogame junkies at our house. You sound like my husband.

Short work day. I have my dating ultrasound this afternoon. Good luck! How are you doing/feeling about being pregnant? I'm getting excited, but still really anxious about how it's all going to work out. Especially with money.

I had to help wipe Pete's Mom often. It was not delightful.

Speaking of meeting up. Did we ever decide where & when? I need to bump the thread. Last I saw, Chicago was still ahead by one vote. We still need to settle on a date.

My dad had carpel tunnel surgery on both wrists at the same time. The dr said my mom wouldn't have to help him wipe, but she didn't believe him. She went to his next appointment with him to hear it straight from the doc. She said if it was going to require assistance she was going to send him to a rehabilitation facility. Lol.

Also, hi! I had to take today off because day care closed for a funeral. I couldn't find a babysitter. Im looking forward to my mom's retirement at the end of the year. Then she can come visit/help on times like that.

This is an excellent idea...although I'm sure they'd wonder why my 45 year old husband was there. The two weeks following surgery, a home rehab place will come to our house. H won't be able to let them in because we have steps to the front door, so I will have to go home for those appointments to let them in, then lock up. vino tell me when and where and I'll freaking be there!

My dad randomly talks about getting long-term care insurance so none of us have to "help him take a leak" when he's old and sick. I don't think he's bought a policy yet though.

FFTC: I really want a girl this time. Nothing wrong with that! I get super annoyed when people assume someone must want one or the other, like I got so many comments about how I must want a girl the 2nd time around. Nothing wrong with hoping for one or the other though. I'm sort of hoping for another girl just because I have so many cute girl clothes and have a girl name that MH and I both like.
