bootsorhearts1 asked me to update you lovely ladies!! Little Miss Boots is here! Born this morning via rcs. She is doing great. They are waiting on mommys bp to come up a little higher and waiting on a room (which takes FOREVER at this hospital...literally HOURS). She hasn't figured out nursing, so they are hand expressing and syringe feeding and she is taking it right down. First order of business for boots is, sending family for a chick FIL a milkshake...its been hours and hours since she has eaten. After new baby squish cuddles of course!

Thanks ssm for posting the update and everyone for the kind words. It was a pretty uneventful C but my blood pressure was a nightmare after. The good news is we did lots of skin to skin in recovery and collected a bunch o' boob juice. She seems to be nursing with a nipple shield but who knows. I think they may check her blood sugar here soon and we'll know more. I'll start pumping tomorrow morning either way. Right now just enjoying cuddle time with her while DH catches a few zzzzz's. DS was beyond happy and excited he kept wanting to kiss and touch her and he was so gentle. He came in the first time and said 'mommy, your belly went away!' Lol I still don't have my damn milkshake though I'm on clear liquids until I poop or fart or something like that. Like, how will that happen exactly if I haven't eaten anything since yesterday??? So FX for my bowels to get their shit together, literally. |

Oh I forgot - she was 6 lbs even and 18.5 inches long but she's got chubby cheeks and some leg rolls so I think she is going to be ok. I just make small babies I guess.

I'm sorry you haven't gotten the milkshake - FX for a poop or fart soon 😂 ( I know it's important so it's really not a laughing matter but I do want you to get that milkshake and for all bodily functions to get back to working) Chunky baby thighs and cheeks are the best too 😁
