coconutbacon is right it's not failing. You could even walk for 1 min then run for 9 min. Then repeat

Betweenthelines, I hate that. I just remind myself its nothing that I probably can't buy at the store or live without.

I’m going to a concert tonight— War on Drugs at Summerstage. So excited and glad the weather is good because it’s outdoors!

Betweenthelines, I hate that. I just remind myself its nothing that I probably can't buy at the store or live without. I'm pretty sure I got it all covered. It's not even like we'll be that far from home or anything. It's just our first overnight with the kids that won't be at home in their own beds.

Just spent over an hour uninstalling/reinstalling car seats to get the baby seat in. G is now in the third row, Henry is now forward facing (😞 ), and baby seat is installed! I am so sweaty! Definitely need a shower before picking up G from school.

I'm actually excited about our weekend trip now. I finished packing last night, car is mostly loaded, and I'm outta work at 3 to get my guys. I also finally got my hotel reservations last night as well. Plus I'm enjoying delicious soup and grilled cheese thanks to uber eats. I Love food delivery so much.

Also.
One of the moms in my playgroup has a 2.5 yr old and 8 month old. The 8 month old apparently only sleeps in 30 min periods on average. Her daughter started screaming at the park and she gathered her things and left. She was ready to burst into tears. She's exhausted. I want to do something to brighten her day. Any ideas? I was thinking a small care package or flowers.

She said last night was a good night and she woke up 3 times. I gave her a hug today when I saw she was ready to burst into tears

jedi, I think that's nice! That was totally me with DS. I'd go to mom groups and when people said "my baby was up twice last night!" I would feel straight desperation at my 6-7-8 wakeups. Desperation is the key. I am not sure what would have made me feel better, but probably almost anything. I know I felt really isolated from everyone and their perfect babies lol. So I think even a nice note or whatever would be enough.

When I saw her about to cry I gave her a hug and said it'd be okay and she said "I just need her to sleep" I am pretty sure she probably started crying as soon as she got to her car

jedi I think CestLaVie nailed it on the head with desperation and isolation. Any thing you can do to let her know she's not alone and if you guys are a bit closer maybe offer to watch her older one for a play date or something so she only has to focus on the one and can go try to nap. W woke up every hour for the first 6 months almost on a timer and it definitely gets to you. Letting her know you're there, can help, or even just listen would be a huge thing. You're awesome for noticing and wanting to reach out.

I am officially touched and "Mama"ed out ... I need a break and H has been outside washing and waxing the trucks all fucking day. I've already asked him twice how much longer he'll be because I'm done. Now he just walked in and is watching tv.

Omg you guys. My friends sons surgery went better than expected and they were able to get the entire tumor! They will do an MRI tomorrow to double check nothing was missed. He'll have 4 weeks recovery then 6 weeks of radiation 5x a week. They made it over the first hurdle!
