DS didn't want to put on a diaper today. He kept grabbing the new diaper from me and throwing it. So he just sat there naked for about 10 mins because I just don't have the energy. Eventually I think he forgot he didn't want one on.
I totally forgot to check on the tracking status of my new breast pump until today. Find out, I didn't tell the company I was moving (I'm pretty sure this is all my fault) but she said they require signature so she'll send another one out. I just got a call back saying they left the package on the front door on Tuesday. My neighbor (we share the front door) left for vegas that day so I think it may still be sitting outside. So I'm having my dad check later today. I would think she would have called me if she received the package. So hopefully noone stole it and it's sitting outside.

One of my coworkers has started leaning down and talking to my bump in a full-on baby voice. My eyes roll out of my head every time she does it. Maybe it's hormones, but it drives me insane. One more day of work, I can do this.

Thanks everyone for the well wishes for my grandfather. He's currently stable in the hospital, waiting on a consultation with a cardiologist to find out if he needs a pacemaker. cythe, our going home outfits are a long sleeved onesie and pants, but I'm packing a separate thin jacket (the kind that come in the Carter's sets) just in case it is colder out when we are leaving the hospital. thatgirlrachel, the only people that I'm OK with talking to my bump are DH and DS. I've had people literally yell at my bump to "talk" to the baby and I put a stop to that real quick. |

arimaythea Sorry your grandfather ended up in the hospital, prayers his health improves soon. <3 AFM Had my 38 week OB this morning, and just realized my ticker says 14 days to go...what?! I mean, I'm ready for this baby to come out, but suddenly I feel unprepared and like I need to rush and get all the things done...even though I don't really have anything left to do. I guess it's more of an urge to organize everything in the apartment, like our closets and places that seam cluttered, and throw away things that we don't really need/use. Tonight is my meal shower at church, and I'm so excited! I remember with DS we got a good couple weeks worth of freezer meals, and they're so delicious and easy to heat up.

gamergirl, sounds like nesting to me. I can't stop coming up with things to clean. I got in trouble with my midwife today for scrubbing the dishwasher on my hands and knees. But in my defense the 2 year old put a crayon in it and i didn't notice until after running it.

gamergirl, I've been following their YouTube channel for a while! They have some neat videos sometimes with tips and crafts. I also have their Aden and Anais exclusive swaddle because their sun logo is really cute haha.

We're all about that Carter's life over here. I alreadyvshared DS came home in a NICU Kimono and diaper because we had no going home outfit.
DD came home in a sleeper.

arimaythea I'll be thinking of your grandfather. chitownsully I hope your feeling better. That sounds awful. bootsorhearts1 3 year olds are the worst. It just took me 20 minutes to get mine in the tub and then another 20 to get him in PJs. 10 more to brush teeth. I'm exhausted. People keep telling me the baby dropped. I'm like, well, it's breech and its head is in my lungs, but sure, let's say it dropped. Carter's is my favorite. 🖕Maria

Like I mentioned earlier, I took off tomorrow basically to nest. I wrote up a to do list and it's approx a mile long.
I also told my teammates that I'm just off for a regular pto day and that I'd probably see them Monday. One of the guys said, "see you next year". I kind of hope he's right!

cythe Great news that your H is coming back soon! I'll be keeping my fingers crossed that Maria steers clear of where you are! thatgirlrachel Hard pass to anyone but DH and DS talking to my bump - that's so friggin weird. I would even rather have random old ladies rub my bump (which actually happens to be all the time over here anyways) than deal with the talking nonsense. Thursday was a great day for us! I had a good appointment, and then DH and I went out for what will probably be our last date night before the baby arrives. We had a tasty French dinner and I had the highest soufflé for dessert that I've ever seen. The pastry chef at this place is on point. Now it's already Friday over here - almost done with the work week! ETA - Just for kicks adding a pic of the soufflé - since most of us are towards the end and mkrupar doesn't have GD restrictions anymore!
