What's happening today? I had a coworker not close to me comment on how huge I am yesterday. I explained I'm 8 months pregnant and that wasn't good enough. She was dense and needed an anatomy lesson. We had a good laugh about it today since she did it in front of 3 other people, some people are not smart about what to say to pregnant ladies.

It's Thursday and I am officially 5 days out from induction! I am so so so excited to meet this baby boy soon! I don't have a whole lot going on at work since I've been busting my hump to get all of my tasks wrapped up. It's nice because now I feel "ready" and not like I'm rushing to get everything finished up. August Blooms, I've said it before and I'll say it again...People can be so dumb when talking to pregnant women!

August Blooms, the only acceptable thing to say to a pregnant woman at any stage is 'you look great!'. That's it. Regardless of how they look.

I said the words, "MrRama, I'm excited about having a baby," and realized I meant it this morning. So that was weird.

Stressful morning for me so far, but things are looking a little better atm. DS woke up super early and cranky. I started work early so I could make up the time I'd be away for my midwife appointment and signed into basically a CF in my email inbox. While trying to deal with that, I got a text from my mom saying my grandfather is in the hospital with "heart problems" and asking if I can find someone else to watch DS today so she can visit her dad. Cue meltdown from me.
Midwife appointment at least went well though, so that's got me in a little better mood. Considering signing off work early to decompress and maybe go visit my grandfather too. I don't really have the leave to take off though, but maybe my boss will be flexible with me due to the circumstances.

I've been up since 4:30. I did the dishes and folded laundry, then went ahead and got DS when he woke up at 6:30. He was a bit of a nightmare during his speech therapy appt, but he's now at school.
I'm thinking of taking off tomorrow since there's no work for me to do, but a ton of stuff to do at home.

Man, I don't gif here. I'm very much looking forward to eating my pb&j and cheese and crackers for lunch. I will most likely need more food later but for now, it's ok. Plus I'm so happy that tomorrow is Friday.

DS had a major meltdown this morning. He just WOULD NOT get dressed for school. We tried bribes, time outs, making it a game, everything we could think of. It ended up being a battle royale. Why do 3 year old do this?? By the time we finally got him to school he was really quiet and kinda sad. I felt bad. I just don't know how to deal with him when he flat out refuses to cooperate.

The floor was wet in the bathroom and my foot slipped, about an INCH, but still far enough that I needed to catch myself. Queue shooting pain in my pelvis. Stupid SPD! Now I can't walk, stand or sit for long periods. This should be a fun day.

I have zero experience with a 3 year old of my own, but my best friend would definitely blame this on being a "three-nager". I've heard that the terrible twos have nothing on the 3s. And my BMB tells me that the 4s are the worst yet

A friend of mine asked me to replace the leg elastics in a bunch of cloth diapers for her, so today is sewing and Call the Midwife day!!
"But I refute all charges of gyrating!"

bootsorhearts1 - because 3 year old are a-holes! Mine does the same thing with getting dressed especially when we have to be somewhere. And don't get me started about getting in the car....so frustrating!

Which made no sense and no one is making fun of his clothes. And at drop off he collapsed in a pile in the class saying people were making fun of his shirt. No one had said anything to him.

arimaythea hope your grandfather is ok. DS is two and we have weekly clothes battle. He's gone topless to school many times for refusing to put one on. Either I'm able to or his teacher gets it on after a few minutes at school. He is also demanding to pick out his clothes, when he does, less of battle. I'm running on about 3-4 hours of sleep. I had to rush DS to the doctors yesterday due to labored breathing and cough. He of course started out cold season with a bang, croup. He's now on steroids, nebulizer and an inhaler as needed. We had to check on him every two hours at night to make sure he wasn't getting worse and of course when I say we, I mean me, so I'm exhausted. Now I'm all freaking out about how to keep him and baby healthy this cold season.

Is a 3 pc outfit too much fuss for a coming home outfit? We got it as a gift, and its NB size (so we may not get a lot of use). It's a onesie, pants and a light sweater.
Thoughts? Opinions? Should I just grab a sleep sac and call it good?

Should I just grab a sleep sac and call it good? Personally, I don't think it would be too much trouble. If you don't need/want the sweater, you could always leave that off when the time comes. My immediate thought it that a sleep sack may cause issues when strapping her into the carseat, but I've never tried so I might be wrong. FTR, our going home outfit is a simple henley shirt and footed pants set from Carter's. We're fanceh.

(And we are fanceh too. Carter's over here as well)
