My infusion company just called me and was like, "the cost of the medication alone is $5,000/month but your insurance should cover it and then you're just going to have your coinsurance. If they don't agree to payment then we'll have to try to find some copay assistance program."

Spoiler alert: there is no way we'll qualify for an assistance program if it's based on income.

Bankruptcy would be our next stop LOL

Dude keeps telling me he wants to get a puppy and name him Michael. As far as I know, he doesn't know a Michael.

He also tells us he had a brown dog named Lenny, but Lenny isn't here anymore because he died.

wedding We are getting a second box. I actually am wondering if one of the cats has a UTI due to how bad the urine smelled from a fresh pee. (Like my house smelled fine this morning and two hours later when I got home it was almost unbearable. Is there something I can order to give to her or do I have to take her to the vet?

cagoldi, for my little morbid freak's (Madison) birthday I think I'm going to get her a skeleton because she's a weirdo and loves them. The Halloween store has ones that are around 18 inches tall and completely poseable. I had Cass help me dig "Skelly" out of the closet the other day, our lifesized Halloween skeleton. I put it in the stroller and met Madison at the bus stop because I knew she'd get a kick out of it. She had a huge smile, ran right towards it off the bus, gave it a big hug, and asked if she can sleep with it. I thought it would at least be a little more normal to sleep with the smaller, doll-sized skeleton than the adult-sized.

My kids keep talking about what kind of dog they want and T always says he wants "the kind that plays with balls." My 10 year old keeps telling him to stop saying that because it's a really bad thing to say.

I was a few minutes late picking up H from preschool. S woke up from her nap and we were just sitting on the couch. I decided to look at my watch and I had 9 minutes to get there, whoops.

I'm officially obsessed with my hair. It's super flat from falling asleep on it, but the color is perfect. She did biliage instead of traditional highlights and it's so shiny, it looks like I just spent a lot of time in the sun. Love.

I also loved the nap that flattened it out.

Talking about Atypical, that reminded me of something that happened a couple nights ago. We went to the mall play place and there was a kid acting strange around Pete. He eventually ran up and bit his arm. He seemed non verbal so I assume he was autistic. His poor dad looked so scared like he didn't know how we were going to handle it.

You'd have to go to the vet. Ive never noticed a stronger smell in UTI pee. My guess is she doesn't want to pee and is holding it then when she does pee it's super concentrated. Is it just the one with the accidents? If so can you put her in a separate room with a litter box for a day and see if she goes in the box? Cats that don't use the box have one of these problems:
-UTI/cystitis
-don't like the litter
- don't like the box
- box isn't clean enough
-box is in too busy of an area
-box is covered (or uncovered in my cats case)

So it would be trying to rule out these causes.

If you do go to the vet try for an early in the day appointment and try your best not to let her pee prior. That way they can extract a sample right from her bladder. We always recommended the morning so if they didn't have a full bladder they could hang for the day until they did.

Dh picked up C tonight because I was supposed to go to the police supply store and furniture shopping for work. I couldn't go to the supply store because people didn't get me what I needed. I bought the furniture super quick so now it's only 6 and I've already spent quality time in Target. I'm tired but don't want to go home and parent so I'm sitting in the Target parking lot for a bit. I wish there was some back door at home I could sneak into and climb into bed without anyone seeing me.

Also I've spent $25,000 so far this week at work and likely another $10k by Wednesday next week. I am so done with shopping.

C was playing with the hose thing you can pull out in the sink and when I turned the sink on it sprayed full force right in my face! So much for hoping this hair straightening would last 2 days...

Lol wedding. It's not near as fun when the shopping isn't for your benefit! During our flood in April I was one of the unfortunate souls who had to be on the purchasing team and I had to shop everyday for over 2 weeks and spent over $40,000 in that time. It was exhausting and the paperwork to keep up with was a pain! I am so glad they didn't make me be on the year end purchasing team this year! Although we don't hardly have any year end money to spend because the flood broke the bank.

Thank you for all the info! The litter box is downstairs in our laundry room in the back so there isn't traffic there usually. I did take off the lid when this started happening. I will try a different litter.

I called the vet that does home visits so I'm waiting to hear back and hopefully he can swing by some time soon and check her out. I honestly don't know if it's one or both. But I caught one of them red handed once so I know she's doing it for sure.

People think I'm loving this and I get a lot of "oh I wish I could shop all day". But it is not fun. I'm the team so it's all on me. Plus when $20,000 worth of crap comes in, I need to deal with it. I received 115 items from Staples today that I need to sort through and file out. This is my first year end so I'm in a bit of shock about it still. This isn't something that happens in private sector.

cagoldi I'm packing right now and head to the airport in a few hours! I'm also walking around the house in an unbuttoned pair of jeans hoping they will stretch out enough to button! The weather in reno is in the 40's 😳 and trying to squeeze myself into cold weather clothes is not delightful.

It can't come soon enough! Our Chief is retiring 9/30 so I'm also outfitting the new Chiefs office which is stress inducing. And the Chief on the way out is bored and driving us all nuts. One more week!
