How far along are you?
37+2 Any concerns? How are you feeling?Cerclage removal is in a few hours! Baby dropped I think sometime mid last week. Feeling a ton of pressure in my cervix. Bubs been punching and pushing down below and feels like he's going to just escape and fall out when my stitches get removed. I am scared. I know he's 37 weeks but I am not ready! ??? plus do not want to have him 2 hours away. Logistically not convenient for us. Also my SI has been out of control the last few days likely cos I've been doing too much. What kind of appointment?Yesterday routine OB, NST How did it go?Bubs is doing great and everything else checked out well. Any feels/vents/etc?I am just a little worried about removing the stitches today! My cervix has a history of not liking being messed with. Hoping my water doesn't break during removal and no contractions after. Learn anything new?Pre-reg isn't required at the hospital we're going to be at in a couple of weeks since they're all part of the same system so I guess less paperwork to deal with. Next appointment:In a few hours! with MFM down in the city to remove cerclage. When we head home, we'll be right smack in the middle of rush hour traffic which sucks!

How far along are you? 12,4
Any concerns? How are you feeling? Just ready to stop bleeding. Plz. It's taking a toll on my brainmind.
What kind of appointment? Follow up from our ER trip this weekend
How did it go? Well. She couldn't find the HB on the Doppler after, like, 3 minutes, so she wheeled in an ultrasound to check how the babe's doing. (not that I'm complaining) Totally fine, all the things in the right spot, nothing worth worrying about there. I did have high BP myself because A)anxious, B)new doctor (mine didn't have an appointment yesterday and sooner was better), and C)they kept making this huge deal about it. I have chronic high blood pressure, but it's been pretty good all pregnancy so far. The more of a """""THING""""" you make it, the more I'm going to freak out about it and the higher it's going to be. Be chill, and I can chill. It's that easy. I hate how they made me feel after that appointment, I think I'll skip seeing that particular OB again.
Any feels/vents/etc? Basically did that above. Whoops.
Learn anything new? Not really. I learned that 3cm is a normal cervical length for this time in pregnancy, apparently? But I feel like it's on the low end of normal based on something else I saw, so I might have to look that up again.
Next appointment: Monday, Sept 25th with my normal OB

Rama, my DH learned a blood pressure trick from his acupuncturist and freaked his doctor out with it. Basically he closes his eyes and slows his breathing and imagines sinking down low into the ground (or chair, or bed) and his BP and pulse both go down. It's weird. He only had to practice a few times to get it to work. He used it to pass his physical last week so he'd get his insurance premium discount.

I picture slowly running water (like a creek) or a beach. But, seriously, these people were stressing me out about my BP so much that nothing helped. It just made me try too hard and my BP actually went up. Whoops.

Rama - I've always read anything above 3 cm. During this pregnancy they checked mine often b/c of my previous late D&E and it always went up and down. One week it would be 3 next week it was back up to 4. I don't think they really start to get worried unless it's under 2.5!

How far along are you? 34 weeks
Any concerns? How are you feeling? One day I feel fine - next day I think that there is NO WAY I can be pregnant for another 6 weeks! I'm feeling overwhelmed with things I need to do before baby comes. I wanted everything done by 35 weeks and that just isn't going to happen. Starting to feel stressed about it!
What kind of appointment? OB tmrw and ultrasound scan on Thursday to check kidneys (and maybe stress tests - they are either starting that this week or next)

I am pregnant check-in How far along are you? 37+2 Any concerns? How are you feeling? No concerns. Feeling ready to be done. What kind of appointment? Reg mw appt How did it go? Fine. Baby is measuring 2 weeks ahead suddenly, but they weren't worried. I was told that baby is still really high and likely won't be born anytime soon. Any feels/vents/etc? I felt like crying when they told me baby is still high. I'm feeling so much pressure already Learn anything new? ^^ Next appointment: next Tuesday

Any concerns? How are you feeling? Baby flipped! She's head down and already pretty low so doctor thinks she'll stay put.
What kind of appointment? Regular quickie.
How did it go? Other than the good news about flipping, as boring as possible.
Any feels/vents/etc? Just feeling like I'll be pregnant for another six years or so.
Next appointment: October 3

I am pregnant check-in How far along are you? 38+2, or 39+1 according to OB Any concerns? How are you feeling? I feel pretty good except for the cold I suddenly have. What kind of appointment? Regular OB How did it go? Fine, I am dilated to 3 and "progressing well". Dr got excited but I reminded her I was dilated to 3 early last time as well. I walked around at a 3 for over two weeks. Any feels/vents/etc? She wanted to talk induction but I put her off for now. I want to avoid an induction so I'm not sure what I'll do next week. But I bought a week, at least. Next appointment: Next Tuesday, OB appt plus U/S

I am pregnant check-in How far along are you? 34 weeks Any concerns? How are you feeling? Uncomfortable, annoyed. Last night I had a sono, NST and OB. Of course baby didn't cooperate and they wanted to send me to L&D for a non-reactive NST - just like the last two weeks. I convinced her not to on the promise I would come in today. What kind of appointment? NST, and OB How did it go? He actually cooperated and had accels! OB came in and said he did what he was suppose to do. No L&D trip for me this week wohoo! Any feels/vents/etc? Relieved and hopefully he'll keep cooperating. Learn anything new? How far along are you? 36w3d
Any concerns? How are you feeling? I'm feeling super pregnant. I'm tired. I waddle. Things ache. Lots of BH....
What kind of appointment? Regular OB plus got the GBS swab and blood work (not sure what blood work was for??)
How did it go? Quick and easy!
Any feels/vents/etc? It was my favorite OBs turn. Ignore me again as I profess my love for this woman and all she's done for me in the past 3 years. This baby needs to come when she's on rotation at the hospital.
Learn anything new? Cervical check has me at 2cm... which means nothing but makes me excited nevertheless.
Next appointment: next tues.

I am a new mom check-in
How many weeks PP/How old is baby? 1 week 3 days
How are you feeling? Any concerns? Feeling ok. I'd really love to not be on the Lovenox injections. I don't know why having to use an anti coagulant is bugging me so much. I didn't have to do the injections with last pregnancy, so I find them weird this time around. I have like another week and a half of them.
How is baby in general doing? Baby is doing well.
How is baby eating & sleeping? He's eating and sleeping like a champ. It'll be interesting to see how much weight he's gained at his appointment on Thursday.
BF or FF? How is that going? FF going well. I'm pretty sure my milk is mostly dried up. I've been using ice packs and avoiding any and all stimulation and heat. I was doing skin to skin the other night and there was some leakage, but otherwise things have been ok.
Milestones? Both baby and mom. No real milestones at this point. Just a lot of eating, sleeping and pooping.

mommabakes LT for commiseration. I remember with DD not progressing at all for weeks and it was so discouraging. I cried a lot. It's so frustrating when you're just ready to be done!

Rama re: the cervical length what others said it correct, the measurement can change. If I were you, I'd make sure I asked for the measurement at your AS. If you happen to have another US between now and then, ask then too.

You don't want them to manually check you if possible. I'm very zeroed in on my cervical length bc I've had people close to me not know their cervix was short until it was too late. I'm talking less than 1 not where you are at. FWIW, I had mine measured at my AS last week and the tech gave one measurement and the Dr gave me another 15 minutes and a pee later and the difference was .5 CM less! There's a margin of error for sure. Taitai, Dusky and Little Owl are the cervical length experts!

I am pregnant check-in
How far along are you? 35 weeks
Any concerns? How are you feeling? None, the usual pregnancy complaints.
What kind of appointment? Regular midwife.
How did it go? My midwife wants me to try to go into labour the first 10 days of October because she wants to be the one to deliver and not the others on the team. I told her I would try 😂other than that a boring appointment and did my GBS swab.
Any feels/vents/etc? Having an outside baby still seems so far away yet it could happen at any time.
Learn anything new? Nada.
Next appointment: ultrasound next week and midwife appointment the week after that.

I am pregnant check-in
How far along are you? 37+6 (!!) Any concerns? How are you feeling? Hips get so sore during the night, and rolling over almost makes me cry. Went to Walmart today and it wiped me out...
What kind of appointment? Regular OB was last Friday, I am terrible about updating so we'll just go with that appt.
How did it go? Pretty good. Belly measured a week ahead after always being right on, but no concerns at this point.
Any feels/vents/etc?
Learn anything new? My OB is going to be gone the weekend before my due date so I fully expect to go into labor then.
Next appointment: Friday

I am pregnant check-in
How far along are you? 37 + 3 today!
Any concerns? How are you feeling? No concerns, I actually feel really good! I have some swelling in my fingers in the mornings and feet by the end of the day (not sure why they are opposites with DD everything was swollen) but nothing crazy and I'm hoping the cooler weather this week will help.
What kind of appointment? Regular midwife appointment on Thursday afternoon
How did it go? I'll update Thursday!
Any feels/vents/etc? Just hoping baby stays in until at least Sunday (which would be 38+1). DH and I have a date night planned for Saturday and I really don't want to miss out on that haha, any time after that I'm a-ok for baby to make it's appearance!
Learn anything new?
Next appointment: Weekly Thursday midwife appointments

Also the only accurate way for them to measure is to use the dildo cam and it does vary in length but the tech will average out the diff measurements. Not an expert at all. 🤣 All I know is I had like none left during my AS 😩 Hence the immediate rescue cerclage and I made it until today! Definitely ask every time you get an US though. They can somewhat measure with an US but not as accurately but they can tell if something is amiss.

First things first. Stitches are out! 👍 Water didn't break. I'm 3cm dilated and 80% effaced 😱😱 Here's a shitty situation. I'm in L&D now cos some dimwitted tool rear ended us on the HIGHWAY! We were on the way to the hospital to get my cerclage removed and we were slowed down for right lane closure due to disabled vehicles- we're talking like 2 big semis with cones for at least 50 meters and 30 cars all slowing down. Dumbag obviously wasn't paying attention to what was ahead and ploughed right in the back of our car 😡 It would've been a lot worse if hubs didn't accelerate cos he said he noticed the dimwit barreling towards us from the rear view mirror so he accelerated but not fast enough. I'm like super pissed. We didn't have a choice but leave the accident to make our appt. the cops couldn't give us a difinite ETA. Also we were lucky the car was drivable. Also the dumbbag was lucky hubs was there or I'd punched the living crap out of him!! 😡 So I'm apparently having contractions and the dr wants to keep me overnight till tomorrow afternoon. I'm just so pissed off 😤 Everything is chaotic now at home. Although if my water broke then it would be chaos but still so effing annoying.
