I'm going to Costco to buy a giant box of GoodNites for R because dealing with a 5yr old's ammonia pee in cloth is gross and she's not growing out of night time peeing anytime soon. Sorry, environment, we just went a little less green.

I took E's shirt directly out of her dirty clothes basket, sniffed it, and put it straight on her. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

I let my kids sit outside the coffee shop well I go inside to doctor my coffee.
I only do it when they are distracted by eating their delicious treat, and I can see them outside the window.
However, this might actually be against the law...

I'm letting my 3 year old watch ninja turtles. Which is rated iffy for 8+. She is totally obsessed with them, although I have no idea where she even heard about them.

One of the overnight girls at my work just quit and one of the day girls didn't show up for her shift yesterday. I have a doctors appointment next week for anti anxiety meds and I'm very tempted to ask him to put me off on stress leave.

Well, H was, but now he's really into being "the responsible one." You know, in comparison to the 2yo.

I used to feel so bad for anyone that volunteered to watch my kids so we basically have never gone anywhere in the last 2.5 years. But now that the twins are 1 and have a relatively predictable schedule, I will jump at any chance we get.

However, this might actually be against the law... I hate that parents are sometimes persecuted for this. Studies have shown that it's all tied into a morals judgement. As in people think that a child is safer strapped into a car seat alone for 5 minutes if the mom was just in an accident than if she ran inside to meet with a lover. It's BS and not based on real information.

We went to the bagel place for lunch and I got a large iced coffee. It's 32 oz. it's too much.

We were at discount tire and started talking to this older lady next to us and found out she lived her in the country not far from us and I gave her my number before we left. I felt like a creeper but I'm so desperate for an occasional babysitter. She ended up running out to the parking lot and giving me her number as well.

I keep wanting to ask our next door neighbor if she could babysit sometimes, but DH grew up playing with her son and he was raised by his grandma, so that somehow makes me feel like maybe she is unfit to take care of children.

We brought home an extra goody bag from a baby shower last weekend "for the kids," and I've eaten 75% of the candy that was in it.

I think super traditional weddings with all the extravagant ($$) expectations of bridesmaids and dates and guests and stuff is a bummer.
I mean, I love a good party, but I have a friend who is a bridesmaid in a child-free wedding and the whole thing is basically a huge headache. She should have declined the request to be a bridesmaid.
In 2024, I want to have a 10 year vow renewal. If I have anything formal, bridesmaids, or whatever, I will pay for it. I will give each $200 to buy a dress, or for travel, or whatever.
Someone I knew did that - asked for groomsmen and bridesmaids, but gave everyone cash and "buy a dress/dress shirt that's small patterened/solid and BLUE." It was an amazing wedding. Beautiful.
Don't even get me started on bridal showers and bachelorettes.
