So my labs came back good but my X-ray did show a very minimal bit of pneumonia. So that and the ear infection probably caused the fever and the chest tightness and difficulty breathing was probably a combination of anxiety and pneumonia. But I feel tons better today! Don't know if it's the doubled anxiety meds that helped or if it was getting the first dose of antibiotics in me.

Glad you're feeling better lfig. wedding, any particular breeds you're looking at? My Denver is several years younger than Max which contributed to the decision to get a puppy so he would start out bigger and be able to establish the rules and boss her around. In the end it worked out great because Denver and Lily are good friends and Denny previously hated dogs. It was no fun going through the puppy stage though. Puppies are assholes and in the future I'd prefer to start with a teenage dog around 1-2. I feel like we really lucked out with our dog because she's really sweet and well-behaved.

I don't like chickpeas, but don't they all taste the same??? How do you not like chick peas? How does anyone like them!? Ew. I do like them roasted so they're nice and crunchy.

I love chickpeas too, but I've never had a chickpea in my Greek salad before.

I love chickpeas. Jack will eat them by the handful. I rinse them and toss in Italian seasoning and snack on them.

I just got a strong craving for lemon heads. When I was pregnant with C all I wanted was giant lemon heads, I bought a huge thing of them on Amazon.

Feta, red onion, cucumber, tomato, kalmata olives, grape leaves and lettuce here. ETA: to tag peach And also to add if I were making it myself, I think I might add chickpeas now. I feel like it would give it that sort of heft I like in a salad.

SweetPotato Do you still have the house by my inlaws? I saw on HAR that you can post your place for temporary Harvey housing. We do still have it - I'll let my H know! Of course the garage is still full of our crap a month later

We are looking for a chocolate lab. Or a pair where one is chocolate. DH is set on a chocolate for some reason. We really don't want puppies because of the training and because there are more adults that need homes. We would like one between 1 and 4 so relatively young. DH is the one that wants 2. I think that is slightly insane but I can't say no to 2 either. We will see. Hopefully Max lives forever and we won't actually be getting one any time soon but sadly, that's unlikely.

Lord, I need a drink and it's not even noon. I have been on the phone--mostly on hold--with our stupid property management company for the last half hour. There are issues with the pool and equipment and they seem to think that avoiding our calls for going on 3 weeks is the best way to do business. False. Sweet, southern, butter-wouldn't-melt-in-her-mouth Flamingo turned into a raging b*tch. Steel magnolias, indeed. Would like to have seen this. It was fairly epic, I'm not going to lie. I may have used the expression "woman up" in telling the asst property manager that she needs to quit hiding behind the receptionist and respond to us directly. Apparently they needed a verbal ass-chewing, though, bc I actually received a call back later this afternoon (a first) that the owner wants pics, model #s, etc. to come up with replacement cost. I hate to have to be so...direct, but being nice, or even firm, wasn't getting anything done.

I'm a bit irritated. I told my coworker friend that I was taking Cadence to gattiland tonight (pizza buffet, salad bar, arcade and prizes). She said she wanted to go and would bring her kids. So today I asked if she still wanted to go and she hemmed and hawed and then came up with some stupid excuse about too many people or some shit. So now I'm taking Cadence to McDonalds and Pinballz, because it's closer to the house. I don't care that she isn't coming, but she does this every. single. time. She says oh yeah, I'll come with the kids, then she always bails with some lame excuse. Then, she'll text me tonight bitching about her H and how she wishes she could get out of the house. Dude! I invited you somewhere and you said no, not my problem. I didn't even bother telling Cadence her little friend(coworkers daughter) would be there because I knew chick would bail. Whatever. Cadence and I will have more fun without them slowing us down

I figured maybe they put chickpeas in as a vegetarian option like as a sub for chicken?
But I still wouldn't want them in a salad unless they had been roasted.
