Or at least take a snake on your way out. Oh god, for this reason alone I would never ever hide in your bushes.

Huh, yeah, that would be why. Never heard of katydids. The cicadas where I lived in Florida were less noisy at night, but definitely still noisy. And now that's got me thinking of night noises in Florida and missing listening to tge nighthawks *sigh* Where in FL? I was determined to live in FL one day until I realized that I'm legit terrified of alligators. So that's never happening now but I still love going there to visit. I just keep a close eye on my surroundings so I don't have a gator sneak up on me.

The only time I ever saw an alligator was at the flea market (where it was kind of a mascot and had it's own area fenced off) and when we drove through alligator alley. Most standing water in Florida has a fountain or two in it to discourage them since they don't like moving water.

(About the moving water, not where you lived- I'm not a creep!)

I sometimes had issues with SO many people around all the time, but I'm sure I could have dealt if, ya know, the government would have let me stay. I even had more than one person offer to marry me so I could stay, including a guy that I had dated. After he broke up with me because he didn't want to be in a relationship. 3 months after I met my now husband.

It sounds like a complicated story lol. Where are you from that you aren't American?

My other ex, who I had dated for 6 months, even went so far as to talk to someone about it and find out what the procedure was, but given how that relationship went I'm forever grateful that we didn't pursue it. And then there were the random men who I barely knew from the train club we were part of. Pretty sure they only offered because I bake well lol I'm a Canadian. Was born and raised in Ontario, then when I was 9 my dad got an offer to buy into a company in Florida, so we moved. But 9/11 happened right around the time when we would have all gotten our greencards, which complicated things way more than it should have. You're only allowed to stay in the states as a child dependant on a work visa until you're 21, at which point you either leave or apply for yourself. I had already been thinking of maybe moving in with my family in Toronto and working while I figured out what to do when I met my now husband online, and ended up moving to the east coast with him instead. It was all meant to be :-)

I love that my sister in law came and played outside with my kids for a few hours, then L took a nap while we chatted. I got quiet housework time and adult talk time all in one day!

Nugget came from a vacation to Clearwater... *overshare* For my 2nd birthday, we took a road trip to Clearwater (same area we ended up moving to 7 years later). 9 months later my brother was born XD
