Before I had M2, I was 99% sure we were done. Now, I'm only 90% sure. M2 is just so cute and I'm hoping it's just hormones. I'm sure we could manage 3, but logistically, I know 2 would be much better for us in a number of aspects. The door isn't shut on it just yet, but I'll definitely wait a few years until I make my final decision. M2 has to be out of daycare for sure.

RE: being done having kids.
I know this isn't quite the same, because I've always been firmly OAD but I feel sad sometimes too. I think that's natural no matter how many kids you have or how you've come to that decision.
Everything has been so hard with V. I can't imagine being capable of doing it again.

Got the boys hair cut. They were very good. The girl said J was the best 2 year old she's ever had. But they look so much older right after a cut. Makes me sad.

I 100% agree going from 2 to 3 seems like a much bigger decision then 1 to 2. While our #3 wasn't planned, we did plan to eventually have a 3rd. I'm pretty terrified at the thought of having 3. Financially, being out numbered, the time it'll take to get from point A to point B, ect. Yes, and going through post partum again. But they say you should try to picture your family around the table 10 years from now....which kind of puts things in perspective This helps. It's honestly the only reason I ever considered a third even for half a second, and thought I would do that through adoption if at all. |

flamingo have you heard anything from Jacksonville? I can't reach my friend there. My aunt is in the same area your friends are in and Internet was down yesterday and she was having trouble getting calls/texts out; we didn't hear from her til late in the day (luckily they were ok). So hopefully that is the case with your friends! Power seems to be getting restored quickly so that is key. Hopefully by now you've managed to hear from them and all is well. I feel like the news (at least what I've seen) is focusing on SFL but there has been some catastrophic flooding in Jax. The St Johns River overflowed and the downtown and older, lower areas of the city are completely underwater. They actually issued evacuation orders yesterday bc of it, even though the storm itself had passed. Crazy. ETA: just saw that your sister heard from them. 👍🏻 |
