It is our big in state rivalry football game so I am trying to watch it but my kids are in rare form. Not even bribing them with donuts worked. Weekends basically exist to remind me I could never be a stay at home mom.

I'm mostly back to lurker status here but maybe I'll be able to check in more on the weekends! We're having a good day. DH went sailing all day, so it is just E and I. We met friends at the park this morning and then did farmers market and grocery store. Next, I think we'll go see my nephew's soccer game before we go have crabs with some friends this afternoon! Busy busy.
Oh, I finally took some reflux meds last night and wow, what a difference. They were expired by a few months (because they were leftover from my first pregnancy!) but still worked b/c I was able to sleep much better and therefore felt better this morning. So, no pukey feelings last night and no puke this morning! #winning
I went to see my dermatologist yesterday about a suspicious mole that had changed recently so she cut a little off to test and also recommended I change the appt for my full body scan. It was scheduled for early Jan but last year I had to get a couple of cancerous spots removed a few weeks after the scan, so we changed it to October to allow for needing appts after (although I hope not!). Just sort of something to think about if that is something you do and/or you are high-risk for melanoma (or other skin cancers).

My hormones are making me so weird today. I woke up wanting to cry, no reason. There's a rummage sale down the street, I was there 3 times. Haha. I did pick up a nice dresser for baby. DH wanted to go to the grand opening of our mountain bike trail and I started crying because I have to stay home with the toddler. He had him all morning so my mind is just being ridiculous.

DS and I went to the gym for Barre this morning, then we just hung out here with MH. Now it's nap time and we have church this afternoon and date night tonight!

@ easternshoregirl I am not at high risk for skin cancer and I am still super paranoid about it. I practically bathe me and my kid in sunblock because of it. It enrages me when parents don't protect their children's skin from the sun but there is nothing I can do about it. Both my sil and bff never ever put sunblock on their kids. My sil just says "oh they don't burn, they just get tan" and my bff says she doesn't like putting that amount of chemicals on her kid. I have stopped getting into it with them that it's not so much about a burn vs tan as it is protection from harmful rays. My bff is totally cool with her kid being exposed to the sun which can cause skin cancer but not the small amount of chemicals that get absorbed into the skin from protecting her. What does she think the chemicals will do...cause cancer she says. 😑

Today's an exciting day bc we have babies starting to be born from my Oct board (mc pregnancy for me but I stayed active there) and even though it's a couple weeks early so far everyone is doing great. Phew! I remember when they were all around 20 weeks like I am now and it's starting to be baby time for them! This will be us before we know it!

hiimjamie I just saw that Irma may be headed in the Tampa direction now. I *think* you are in this general area. Thinking of you and your family.

It's now expected to go right over us. 😳 We didn't get evacuated bc, as they keep saying over and over, they evacuate for flooding not wind. So we have lots of water, food, flashlights, batteries, candles. It's probably going to hit us at a cat 4. Yikes.

I've been on vacation with h all week getting stuff done around the house. I still feel like I didn't accomplish enough and am worried how everything is going to get done before baby with the holidays coming.
Today I'm tackling sorting toys into the new built ins H made me and hoping to organize under my kitchen sink.

We've tried lots of them, honest brand, badger, California kids, etc. Then I started using Beautycounter products and their sunscreen is the bomb. It actually rubs in and after a week on the beach no one was burnt. Winning. On that note if you guys have t heard of swimzip check them out. Great rash cards and swim suits for sun protection for little ones.

I'm about to go out for sushi! Anyone want to reassure me about eating raw stuff? I did tonight too!! This was my first time this pregnancy getting raw stuff, since we usually get it from a small place in town that I don't really like getting raw stuff. But tonight we went out for our late anniversary and went to a really nice sushi place. I ate alllllllllll the sushi.

The weather was gorgeous today, so we spent a ton of time outside (with sunblock). DH had me face palming a ton today, and I am still super irritated with him. For example, H starts asking me if I want ice cream while DS is eating dinner... so of course DS then starts throwing his food everywhere and begging for ice cream. Entirely predictable response for a two year old, but somehow DH doesn't see it coming. Ever. Ahhhhhh.

clm585 Ha! We had almost the same experience tonight. We took home pulled pork tacos and ice cream from a food truck event. In the car DD is all excited about the pork. We get home before H, I set up the table, we take one bite of the pork, and H walks in and sets the ice cream ON THE TABLE in front of us. Like....really? She's two. Just think a little bit.

DS has been an absolute disaster today. I can't even describe the level of meltdowns we've experienced. If I could have wine, I'd drink about two bottles before my blood pressure would return to normal.

hiimjamie stay safe!! This morning it looks even more westward. Thank! More of a westward shift which isn't great for us. More storm surge. We'll probably get hit w a cat 3/4. Were expecting 100+ mph wind gusts. We'll start getting windy this afternoon. The worst will start between 10 and midnight. Just hunkering down. We've prepared as much as we could.

MH and I went on a date last night to celebrate our 8th wedding anniversary (which was actually in July lol) and we ate so much good food. I also had a small glass of wine I sipped over the 2 hours we were there. It was divine.

TTMA round ligament pain. I never had it with DD and it's terrible haha, I'm being such a baby about it. I have it really bad. I had it my first pregnancy too but it started sooner with this one and is worse. Try to avoid any swift movements, especially when either sitting up or twisting your torso in any way. Going slow seems to help avoid them for me.
