Ds is chilling. Dd is napping. I have to do laundry, run to the store for shore snacks, and pack for the shore. The plan is to do non-beach things like the board walk and some other attractions. I hope everyone has a wonderful Friday! Stay safe meeggaannw! I don't think we have any other J17ers in Irma's path but if we do, you stay safe too!

DS is watching Bob the Builder, M is napping and I'm pumping so I can bring a bottle on the go today. We're heading to the zoo soon to meet up with a girl from DS's BMB who is in town to escape Irma. That plus 5 loads of laundry is all we've got today! Happy Friday!

Back from the gym, two of four bathrooms cleaned, one load of laundry done (well, not folded yet). I should probably get some real work done. Working from home can be challenging when there are so many damn chores that need to be done!

Sorry I have been MIA
******tw********
My grandmother passed and I drove the 10+ hours to the funeral to bfe with no cell service. It was okay, I took Q with so he got to meet my grandfather. It was kinda awkward but not as bad as I expected.
*****End******
So I am finally home and SO ready for normal life.

I'm at my wits end with E and sleep. She refuses naps. Takes 1 one hour nap a day. She fell asleep quickly last night woke up several times screaming and was up from 2-4:30 last night. I'm so tired I don't know what to do. It's not teething as soon as she is out of her crib she stops crying ad wants to play.

peaseblossom55 if I ruled out teeth and sickness, I'd guess being overtired at this point. Only one short nap doesn't seem like enough daytime sleep at this point according to the sleep charts. That being said, ds was an awful napper. I could rarely get more than 45 minutes until he was 1.5/2 years. I tried all the tips and tricks to extend naps but just had to ride it out. If she won't nap longer for you, I hope it's a short phase!

I need to prioritize my shore indulgences. 1. Coconut shrimp if the place is still open 2. Kohr Brothers Custard 3. French fries 4. Lemonade -debating this one 5. Johnson's popcorn? There's just so much of it, I'll be eating it forever so I might skip it 6. Mh wants Manco&Manco pizza one night. I'll eat it but am not attached to it.

Lakes: 3, 2, 6, 1. I'd personally skip lemonade - there is SO much sugar in boardwalk lemonade that i can't think of anything but cavities. And the popcorn? If it's caramel or kettle corn, or cheddar... I would have no self control, so better to not even tempt myself.

peaseblossom55 have you tried an earlier bedtime to fight the overtired? I think that's been part of M's problem the last week bc she wasn't taking good naps or getting good overnight sleep. We put her down at 6:30 yesterday and she went down easier than she had in a week.

Oh good sleep talk! Q I think is overtired as well, this kid fights sleep like no ones business. I thought someone had posted a chart of how much sleep an infant should have at what month?

I like this site because the charts are detailed. I love tons of info so give me the number of feeds and naps and ideal bedtime please. www.mybabysleepguide.com/2013/02/average-sleep-charts-by-age.html?m=1Also this one because it gives you a couple options for what the day should look like once you click the appropriate age. Of course, poor second baby over here always gets dragged on adventures but it's still nice to have a guide. www.babysleepsite.com/baby-sleep-feeding-schedules/

We get home at 5:45 and have to feed DS in there so it's a mad rush in the evenings! Sorry that didn't help her out. Hopefully it's a short lived phase!

I'm so sorry for your loss ambiguousmango. All the hugs to you, lady. I'm still being a terrible J17'er. I don't know what my issue is Lol I feel so excessively tired this week but I think it's because my period might be on its way. W is crawling everywhere but gets frustrated that he isn't faster, I think. He had a corner of a tooth poke through but it seems to have disappeared >.< I started up being a consultant for Scentsy which is fun and exciting but maybe I should've picked a time when I'm not so exhausted! Lol I mention it because I'm doing a fundraiser for a non-profit in MT that's helping evacuees from one of the big fires up there so if anyone likes Scensty or has wanted to try it, let me know because I'm hoping to send off a check to the group in a week or two.

I nursed B this evening and when he was done I noticed that the blister I've been battling for 3+ weeks was bleeding.
I bought my first can of formula tonight. I'm at my wits end and I think it's time to wean.
I'm having all the feels. The Mom guilt is pretty heavy right now. 😔

Aww I'm so sorry ellabee. You've made it so far with nursing him and if now is the time for you guys, that's ok! No matter when it happens, it's so emotional so please try to go easy on yourself and block out the guilt.

ellabee ditto what carrots said. I have pretty much weened Q, my supply was pretty much nothing with all the crazy going on. I know the mom guilt but honestly it is like a weight being lifted off my shoulders. I hope you give yourself some grace. You are a good mom.

Thanks, ladies. I think I just had to get that off my chest. I know it's the right course for us, I just have to come to emotional terms with it now.

Someone left a refillable popcorn tub here which means it would be cheap to refill but then I would eat it all. judyblume14 it is caramel popcorn. Freshly made. Highly addicting. So many calories. It might be a last minute decision. In other news there is no milk/creamer here. I wasn't expecting milk but mil always has creamer. I will weep as I chug my coffee black at 6am.
