snoopmommymom how do they pronounce it? And how should it be pronounced? In my head it is Sara but with a Z The first A in her name is pronounced like the A in "car" instead of the A sound in "care" or "hair." Make sense?

Everyone mispronounces my name too so I guess it doesn't bother me. Snoop's Z is like the store. ETA: I see this has been covered.

tallb my friends are Greek and named their daughter Daphne. It's definitely a Greek name. Daphne is a very common name here. Love Daphne. You all are getting me in trouble. I keep throwing out names to dh and he's keeps jokingly yelling at me "you're not pregnant!!!!"

Ha, the only Daphne I knew was a crazy bartender when I waited tables. Funny how you can tie names to people. She def was not Greek either, more of redneck lineage.

tgrimes - I can't remember if I knew that's how you pronounce M's name, but I love it. I had a good friend in college with the same name and everyone mispronounced it. She didn't really care, she liked having a more interesting name.
