Not so much yet. C woke at 5:45 and I'm pretty grumpy about it. At 8:30 he starts Beginners Baseball at the Y. He told me he doesn't need to go because he already knows how to play. So this should be fun aside from that and meeting my dad to pick up basement lighting, we have no plans.
What about you?

Good morning! Today is the day...the return of college football!! DH and B will be boiling peanuts this morning while we wait for the games to start. tallb I'd forgotten y'all were UM fans until I saw J wearing his sweatshirt on insta. I think it's going to be a good, close game! Haven't caught up from yesterday yet so off to do that next.

My period is 6 days late so I should probably get a test. You may remember from similar stories from me in recent months so I'm not really worried about it. I think I'm just irregular since having L.

It's so cold this AM, we have the fireplace on!
Currently sitting around, online shopping at BBW. All the 3 wick candles are on sale and I want some fall scents to match our chilly weather!
We're having ppl over later today for a cookout but I have a feeling it will mostly be an indoor event.

Well my child woke at 5:40, turned on his lights and ceiling fan, and had a very loud pretend phone call with Sir Topham Hatt.
It has been less than delightful.

Got up at 4:45 because I was cooking so I went downstairs to turn on the air. Then I couldn't get back to sleep.

So here's a question for moms of girls...what all did your dress your babies/young toddlers in for winter weather?
I'm seeing lots of leggings and some jeggings, but other than that not a lot in the way of heavier-weight bottoms. Maybe bc it's still early?

If we are outside for linger than I'll layer or do snow pants.

wedding I get that from B all the time that he knows how to do everything. Specifically he goes on and on about how great he is at golf and soccer. OK kid, I was there at community soccer and you all could use some skills.

Morning all.
Just hanging out trying to drink a cup of hot coffee. This is generally when I get to avoid parenting for a good 10 minutes but it looks as if MH is doing the same. Good start to the weekend, we're both avoiding.
Baba is picking up B in a couple hours until tomorrow, so not sure what the plan is, it'll be weird not trying to entertain him all weekend. And my gosh, what will we do when J goes down at 7:30pm...

It is super cold here. It feels like fall! flamingo, We were in a lot of leggings for Josie, but there were some heavier weight jeans (there still called jeggings in Old Navy, but I wouldn't classify them as that) and cords from Gap. They still had elastic waists. This past year she really liked the dress with tights and legwarmers. Such a cute look.

Morning! N stayed over at the IL's last night so I'm attempting to get DH up so we can go to the farmers market. I need to get groceries at some point this weekend so I have stuff to pack for Nolan's lunches. I can't believe he starts kindergarten on Thursday. 😐

Can you guys help me find tunics that I could wear with skinny jeans and leggings. Plain colored, but a heavier weight than the thinner clinger ones I've found in summer weight clothing?

Honestly when they're little (like under a year) I don't keep them outside long so the leggings tend to be fine.

I love them and B wears them, too. I think the dress over leggings or tights is very cute, also; hadn't thought about legwarmers but sounds adorable.

Morning! I think a switch flipped in S. She doesn't wake up screaming and wanting to get out of bed immediately. This is excellent news, but it will be even better whenever she decides to start STTN. I work this weekend, including Monday, so that's what I'll be doing later.

I'm drinking coffee & baileys again. Once we get ready I'm going to stop by the hospital to see my dad and then head to the airport. My dad will get to go home today, probably after lunch. I wish I was going to be here when he gets home but I really miss the kids.

My child is driving me crazy today.
There are a lot of cheerios in my bed.
He pooped his undies.
He attacked our apple tree and ripped off a branch.
Grass and crumbs are everywhere.

I clean up my phone pretty frequently, so I only have summer pictures on there right now. L is going to be 17 months in September? I didn't start Josie in real shoes until that summer – I know starting in May she wore sandals. A silver pair of Birkenstocks and a pair of gold gladiator sandals that zipped up in the back then those great jelly sandals from old navy and the Mary Jane croc like ones. I also always try to buy a few pairs of Mary Jane like sneakers from Carter's. They look super cute with shorts and dresses. Before that I was pretty much only putting her in the freshly picked mocs. She did have a few pairs of chucks. Here she is ar 17 months. PDQ And here's one from on our way to dance in her leg warmers: ETA: also, Charlie at 17 months feels and looks so much more babyish than she did at that age. I wonder if it's (in looks) because she had so much hair.

Sooo soooo cute, guster. I just ordered her some chucks! I feel like L (who will be 17mo in Sept, good memory!) looks way older than C did. I think the hair and longer thinner frame all contribute to that.

guster she does look so grown up! And adorable, per usual. Random, but I just ordered these for C and I can't wait to get them. I might grab a pair of their mocs, too. I can't stomach the FP prices but I like this brand so hoping they're cute.

Only one other kid at baseball so if no one new signs up in two weeks, they will cancel the class. So we went to beginners soccer after. They both went pretty well. He was tired at soccer but we wanted to try it in case baseball gets cut so he'll have something. We will do both again next week then decide.
Now we are at a playground. We are all tired but it's too early for nap and we needed to keep him stimulated. Hopefully we can head home soon and watch a movie or something.

I think the sale price was like $20. Worth checking out! Those are cute. Kid shoes are my weakness.

We just got a 4th birthday invite from daycare. I don't know the kid or parents but C talks about playing with him so I'd like to go. Thoughts on what I should get as a gift? Playdoh kit? Hot wheels? Stomp rocket? Whatever C picks for him? We will likely spend $15-20.

Thanks everyone! Lucky love baby on amazon are inexpensive and I bought a couple of basic colors for Charlie. They do hold up just as well, and I remember liking the packaging.
