I need a cure for morning sickness. This is some real bullshit. I've only had it for a week and last time I was sick for 8 or 9 weeks. I don't know how I survived. MS sucks. What are you doing so far to try to combat it?

What are you doing so far to try to combat it? Eating constantly, ginger tea, ginger ale, preggy pop drops, sea bands, wallowing in self pity mostly. 😂 I'm trying to remember what the hell I did last time. I'm encouraged though, if I just eat constantly it helps a little. Last time NOTHING HELPED. I could barely eat. So hopefully it stays this way.

You seem to have quite the arsenal of things right now. Early on I always had multiple snacks in my bag because eating constantly was the biggest help for me. My husband teased me he already felt like he had a child because I was walking around with a baggie of Cheerios. Haha. Preggy pop drops (I have the ones with B6) are also a lifesaver! I hope this doesn't last too terribly long for you.

I'm right there on the ms train. I didn't have much with my first two, but number three did a number on me starting around week 10. Well here we are at week 8 and I'm dying. Not only am I exhausted, I am sick. Tomorrow I'm requesting zofran or something from my doc. I need to be a bit more functional in order to care for three children all day. My house looks like a bomb has exploded and my kids think they need to get me to a hospital. 😷🤢😞

I really need this lab lady to come do my last blood draw so I can go puke somewhere without screwing everything all up.
Also there is a lady in the waiting room humming very off key to some music on her phone. She is wearing headphones. Like, I am so glad you are entertaining yourself but thank you also for the entertainment because are you fully aware of how loud you are being?

It helped a lot at first and now it's just kind of eh. I started out with 25mg of b6 3 times a day and a half unisom at bed. Then upped it to a whole unisom at bed. Now I'm doing 50mg of b6 two times a day and a whole unisom at bed.

Update: she just pulled approximately half of the office's box of tissues out and then stuffed them in her purse.

We are driving and on our way home from our long vacation. I had a big argument with DH trying to convince him that we had to stop for food and no there is no way I can go 6 hours with only a few crackers and granola bars to eat. In-n-Out was good, except I put ketchup on my burger and realized that my BBQ aversion extends to ketchup. 😖

I haven't taken zofran/digiclies (sp?) but somehow taking OTC stuff is less bothersome. Lol. Logic... I have none.

I have my first appointment tomorrow. I will admit that I'm a little worried about getting my blood drawn. I can get a little light headed in normal situations, but being constantly nauseous while having it done is sounding like torture.

When do you have the glucose test? I can't remember. Traditional is 28w. Other factors may cause your dr to request the test early. (For example, I had GD last pregnancy so my doc did a screen already).

I'm late but I laughed nuggetrn. Did you pass the glucose test? I will find out tomorrow. They only get results back from the first draw because you have to be at a certain number for them to let you drink the drink. There are 4 blood draws total and I passed the fasting one. I am hopeful I will be totally fine because I only just barely failed the one hour test... So surely I passed at least the second and third draw?? I hope!!

Tell me about this unisom/B6 thing. My nausea has really ramped up the last couple of days to the point I'm having trouble functioning. Should I call the OB first? My first appt is Friday.

Lol. I get to do mine at 20 weeks because I had GD with my son. If I pass it then I get the "joy" of repeating it at 28 weeks. So, I might get to join you on the awesome train...

You can call, I did. It's essentially the same as Diclegis but OTC. I started at 25mg of b6 3x a day and half a unisom at bed. That worked really well for 1.5-2 weeks. Then I upped it to a full unisom at bed. Again that worked for 1.5-2 weeks. I'm now trying 50mg of b6 2x a day with a full unisom at bed. My Dr also said I could take half a unisom in the morning if I need but it makes me too zombie-ish.

I felt fine taking it without talking to my midwife/OB because I've done it before, but it couldn't hurt to call and ask. Or just tell them you're doing it. I tried just B6 and then switched to a half blue unisom and 50mg b6 at bedtime. I screenshat this for you. It's a good outline.

TW...
I had some bright red spotting this AM. I called my OB and they said to just monitor unless it gets worse or I have cramps. Well I'm not spotting anymore but I think I maybe cramping. But I've also had awful gas pains all day so it could be that. So I have no idea what to do.

I'm sorry, cornpop I hate spotting limbo. For what it's worth, I had something very similar around 8 weeks - I had bright red spotting in the morning and wasn't sure if I was having cramps or digestion/gas issues. I decided to wait it out for 12-24 hours to see if the cramping got worse or passed when I had a BM or passed gas, and it did. But don't hesitate to call your doctor to check, or for peace of mind. That's what they're there for. FX that it's nothing and goes away quickly.

My Dr ended up prescribing me zofran today to help with the nausea. I ate dinner tonight and I think it might actually stay down!
