I don't think I actually checked in last month.
I'm happy with where I'm at. I've realized what is and isn't changeable on my body and am trying to embrace what I'm proud of. My legs suck, but that's what pants are for and they are STRONG. I appreciate what they do for me day to day. We're hopefully going to get the process started on getting the spider and varicose veins fixed this winter so maybe I'll actually wear shorts out of the house next summer. The idea is thrilling to me.

I tried on one of my pencil skirts thr other day (I couldn't zipper it last month). I definitely wouldn't wear it yet (could hardly move lol) but it fit.
I'm still almost 10 lbs over PP weight. I preach to everyone else that the numbers don't matter, but it still bothers me. I'm trying to stop but it's hard.
I'm still exercising most days. I'm finding a good balance betwern keeping myself accountable but also giving myself a break when I need it. I definitely feel stronger.

I had my initial personal training session tonight. It went ok, but they really pushed additional sessions (at an extra $160/month) and supplements (at about $115). I told them several times I'm really just there for the fitness classes. Like, I want to the monthly session my membership comes with to help keep me accountable, but mostly I just want to take a spin class to get out of the house a few times a week. I don't think that requires a 400oz tub of protein powder.

I'm starting off September on a high note. I dropped 9 lbs in August and am feeling really good about myself.
This coming week is the last of my 6 week program. We're on the Cape so not sure I'll be able to stick to the meal plan 100% but I am still really motivated so I feel like I can make good choices.
For September (post-meal plan) I plan to stick to the same exercise regimen--2 days a week at Orangetheory and 4 days of HIIT workouts. For eating I plan to continue with the 6 small meals/macro model. I think the reduction in sugar has helped a lot. If I can keep eating in this general pattern I think I can keep seeing results.

Well, august was a bust. And with DH home this week and all the crap I've ate and drank I feel like I've gained 10lbs just this week alone.
September (Tuesday the 5th) DH and I are going balls to the wall. Our eating is going to be clean 6 days a week and no drinking for an entire month. Lord help me but I'm sick of looking 5 months pregnant so I need to do this. To help us with our success, we've made a bet of sorts of something we both hate to do if we drink the month of September. I hoping it will be incentive enough to stay on track.
Also, plan to work out 6 days a week (cardio and some weights) at night after the boys go to bed.

Hi 👋🏻
More of the same for me for September. Less sugar, more water, more veggies, less take out. Adding toning exercises when I can.
We've done exceptionally well with eating meals at home (I'm actually shocked) but am so proud of us, we've saved a bunch of money and it's nice knowing mostly what's in the food I'm eating and being able to control things like salt, added sugars, etc.
I've been a little better with the sweets but still looking for them daily. To help with this II bought single serve ice creams (like the tiny Ben n Jerrys or Haagen Daz) and a ten pack of the "fun size" kit Kay (comes in a long package) and I limit myself to one thing a day.
I eat a ton of veggies so we're rolling there. I made every one of our meals meatless this past week... praised H on Friday night for sticking with it. And he says "I have something to confess...you know that kabinosa (like kielbasa) my mom brought last week...I've been eating a piece of it every night after you go to bed". Dude.
Walking every morning as a family, doing toning exercises when I remember. Noticing more strength in my tummy but that's it.

I've been eating more carbs and processed food than normal the past week or so and just feel like garbage. Puffy and sluggish. I know I'll feel better in a day or two if I can knock it off, but it's all I can think about. We're headed to Philly on Thursday and idk if it's even worth attempting to start tracking now. Probably not.

I've been terrible the past few days and it's showing. Eatingwise I have actually done really well but I've been drinking all the wine, and yesterday I even skipped my workout (first time that's happened in 6 weeks). Back on track today, for real. No more booze.
Well, until Thursday night (Pats home opener). And Sunday (cousin's wedding). GDI.

sophiegrace Philly is my food paradise, besides New Orleans of course. I can never help myself there. I assume for work? Will you guys get to have some fun too? Btw I totally would've made H drive down with me and we would've had M play with the twins for a few hours so you guys could get out. I know it sounds far fetched, but you got a lot of gals in your corner - when any of us couls make that happen I think of any of us would.

Is it bad that my first thought was to leave the guys with the babies so you and I can go out? You are absolutely wonderful! Yes, it's for work 😭 of course. I plan on either strapping M to me or putting her in the stroller and exploring while H listens to the lectures. I really hope I don't get lost somewhere. Or more like, I hope I eventually find my way back to the hotel after I inevitably do get lost.

Today is my first day of not buying lunch and raiding the vending machine/marketplace thing. It's 11am and I'm struggling. I'm allowing myself either one food truck or one lunch delivery a week, but since I went to CFA last night I'm counting that has my "one" for this week. I'm not even really all that hungry, just bored.

I went to the gym on Wednesday and I'm going again tonight. I've done really with not eating at the vending machine and also bringing my own lunch. I'm mostly bringing leftovers from dinner the night before, but I'm proud of myself for making it a whole (ok, a short) week without ordering/buying lunch and a million snacks.

So I've done well this week. Since Tuesday I've eaten really healthy, no wine/booze, and I've worked out each day. I snuck in a few chocolate chips the other day because I was craving chocolate but I only took about 8. And I've been drinking a ton of water.
Overall I feel good and I've enjoyed the things I've been eating. I've been incorporating veggies at every meal and it's been easier than I thought. But, Saturday is going to be my cheat day and DH and I already decided we are making a homemade pizza and I'm drooling thinking about it.

Back on my workout routine. Crazy how out of shape I already feel after only 2 weeks of slacking. I hear you. I feel like one week "off" (where I actually ate pretty well, considering) while we were on the Cape completely undid all of my work from the 5 preceding weeks. I have been very on track the past few days and still feel bloated

Hi all! Normally I avoid this thread bc it makes me feel guilty. Denial much? I really need to make a change. I've gained 5 lbs since July. I need to lose 20lbs total. I'm going to start WW again. (I lost 30 lbs in 2015.) I do better with trying to eat healthy vs working out. Just ready to feel good about my body again, ya know?

Check in as much or little as you like cookswithwine. No judgement in here, so don't feel guilty. WW sounds like the perfect plan since you've had success with it in the past
