My FIL once saw people congregating for a Furry convention. I remember seeing the True Life about that and 😳

A car driving down the road, both back doors wide open, sun roof open, trunk open, with what looked like a Christmas tree exploding out of all these open orifices. This was three weeks ago 🙃

This story is actually sad (TW death), but it is so bizarre that I tend to laugh uncomfortably whenever I tell it.
About 10 years ago SO won a trip for being one of the top salespeople in his region. There was a big awards banquet one night (Jay Leno gave a speech), and a part of it was presenting the employee of the year award. They had a video about the guy, and he got up on stage and accepted his award. Later, they announced where the next year's trip would be, and while everyone was clapping and cheering there was a commotion at the front of room. Employee of the year had straight up dropped dead at the banquet.
This is definitely the most surreal thing that I have ever witnessed. He was a young guy, and to this day I wonder what caused it.

I lived in an apartment years ago that had a gym for its residents. I was working out one day and a guy walked in with jeans and a sweatshirt on. Thought that was an odd choice of gym clothes but whatever. He proceeded to get on the bike and slowly start to cycle. Then I started hearing loud sniffing noises. Oh. He was snorting cocaine, in plain view, while cycling.

I happened upon a naked bike ride in Barcelona once. Just meandering the side streets near Santa Maria Del Mar, then I heard a hullabaloo, and -- oh hello, naked bicyclists. There's a Solstice festival every year in Seattle and it includes a naked bike ride.

When I lived in an apartment I always drove by this duplex on my way home. The guy would mow his lawn about once a week and always in a crazy outfit. Eighties hair band, Marilyn Monroe, a cowboy, etc. It always made my day.

We had a car set on fire in front of our house a few years ago. I was shocked at how long it took to become fully engulfed. Also, shocked at how nonchalant the owner of the vehicle was about it. What the fuck?! How did it catch fire? It happens a lot with older, poorly maintained cars. I see it a few times a year in the city.

I always check out when it is and the route because I don't feel like explaining it to my kids.

I often saw this car in the last city I lived in. If you live in this city you probably recognize it. Sent from my SM-G935V using Tapatalk

When I lived in Florida I used to love going to this goth club called the castle. A friend was visiting me so we went into the city and then headed to the club. It was just about time to open and there was a crowd forming outside. Everyone seemed to know each other, but I didn't think it was too weird since the goth community isn't that big. The doors open and we all start filling in. My friend and I follow the crowd and we are all ushered into this room. Everyone around me looks super excited. The lights dim and some guy stands on a chair in the front of the room and says "welcome to the vampire society of Tampa's monthly meeting". He then goes into the types of vampires and then asks people to share their stories of dealing with vampirism... Like a support group. The entire time my friend and I are trying not to burst out laughing. We were stuck in there for a half hour while people talked about their emo vampire feels. It. Was. Bizarre.

Last weekend there was a guy riding a motorcycle down a busy road while holding two crutches upright in his left hand. Somehow he had a grip on them and the handlebar

After I did grad school interviews at Iowa State, I saw a billboard on the way to the airport
"Life is like a bowl of pork chops"
That settled it. Couldn't live there.

In my hometown there was a lady who would walk her miniature pony around town. She was a little person (is that the correct term?). It was adorable. Also I've seen a couple people with huge rabbits on leashes in the park here. Like dog sized rabbits. This reminds me, there was a family in my home town that was trying to get their mini horse recognized as a service animal so they could keep it in their suburban house. They'd take him for walks

I think they had an autistic kid? And at the time I don't think mini horses were recognized. There was some debate over if it was legit or them trying to skirt rules. Fake service animals is one of my hills, but I don't want to get into it

I saw two guys hitting a bong in traffic around 9 am last week. I actually heard it first. I guess that's kind of bizarre.

Also I've seen a couple people with huge rabbits on leashes in the park here. Like dog sized rabbits. Take a picture? Like what size of dog!? On my way home from work the vehicle in front of me had some sort of skeleton in the back window. I took a picture for DH but I don't think I have it anymore. One time in a mall bathroom there was red lipstick lip marks all over the floor of one of the stalls.

It happens a lot with older, poorly maintained cars. I see it a few times a year in the city. Like, spontaneous combustion? No. I think it is about engines overheating. It comes from under the hood. Once it catches fire it spreads really fast.

I was doing a door to door cold sales thing when I was travelling and working in Australia. I walked up to a hall door with a screen in front of it. I was just about to ring the bell when I noticed there was a rat climbing half way up the screen caught between the screen and the door. I could see his belly and claws. Even now it freaks me the fuck out.

Bigger than the biggest house cat I have seen.

thatgolfb aww, I was thinking like this picture. I've always thought the pictures of huge rabbits were photoshopped.
