I'm physically exhausted from going through stuff from the garage. H wouldn't let me lift anything more than 10 lbs which was fine, but ONG- there is so much stuff... around 11 we finally sat on the couch and started going through some stuff that we weren't sure if we should eBay or sell at the garage sale. eBay will definitely be the way to go. He has at least $1,000 worth of view master slides from the 60's-80's, some brand new, most in perfect condition. I never realized how much some of them sell for. Fun fact did you know View Master made adult slides? Naked ladies and all. H doesn't have any, but I learned this during my ViewMaster Googling...

coconutbacon oh wow! Do you have a back up plan? mrspiatt she's gone. We got an email Tuesday saying she was out indefinitely with a family emergency. Then the drama started. Family emergency my ass. Back-up plan is that she'll stay at her current daycare. Which is nice– but the Y daycare is very nice AND about $500/ month less. It's really the only high quality affordable daycare in the area. I'm always leery of 'I' hurricanes. Isabelle and Irene were particularly bad where I live.
I will watch, I love hurricane science

BTW, a pinch of salt on fruit is so delicious. I always want to try this, especially watermelon, but I chicken out thinking it'll be gross. I've probably thought about this too much. Salt on watermelon is my favorite. Just do it. Don't go crazy; a little goes a long way

A watermelon-mint-feta salad is also delicious. The salty feta pairs well with the watermelon.

coconutbacon,Glad you guys were able to stick it out and get on the list for dc next year for P. That is absolutely criminal though that only children of parents who are able/willing to do that (stand out over night to register) will benefit from a high quality program. Universal high quality childcare will positively impact society as a whole, it should be a right for all children to be cared for by highly trained, nurturing professionals in places that will not add stress to families (through financial means or otherwise). Okay, rant over...

So, dry shampoo. I ended up just finding one at target and that's what I've been using. My thought was, if I like it, then I can spring for some more expensive but higher quality stuff. I bought the same kind of dry shampoo that I use in the shampoo. Come to find out that it's the worst rated dry shampoo out there for 2016 with a high percentage of people saying they felt it made their hair more greasy which is how I feel sometimes. I'm not sure if I should try to return it, and get something else???
For those that use dry shampoo, when does you hair start to look and feel greasy?

i need to get some dry shampoo. I am not supposed to shower until Tuesday... Today I took a 3/4 shower with my shirt on though and washed my hair and the rest of my body. I feel a lot better now. There was a noticeable drop in pain last night and I am able to lay on my sides now which is really really helping. I might start my wardrobe project today.

Okay, rant over... I completely agree. There used to be another very good daycare program in the neighborhood, with income restrictions for admission, but it closed. There are very few options, and they are least accessible for those who need them most. At the very least, I wish there were a weighted lottery for this program (with considerations like income being factored in.) It would likely hurt our chances of getting a spot, but at least it would be more fair. And affordable, quality daycare should just be accessible for everyone. At least we have universal Pre-K, and there are tentative plans to extend that to 3 year olds, but not in time for P. SaveSave

So this is a little glimpse at what I'm dealing with... These are all board games with a few random things thrown in too... we have 2 Yahtzees, 3 Battleships, 2 Scrabbles, multiple versions of Monopoly and just about any game that Barnes and Noble ever put on clearance. ![](https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20170901/021aa4e44989d3c645d8760a76ad7925.jpg) I don't even know where to start with this junk... ![](https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20170901/7e0dadd04cde539ba649bcddc5f0cd91.jpg) I think these boxes will likely go on eBay- there's some really cool stuff that we never thought we'd get rid of, but that seems to be changing. ![](https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20170901/add38db562ada47fda0cb7c0c1b5fa05.jpg) and finally the garage... ![](https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20170901/aa0fa7ae9ac2553e2924e2e60ead0942.jpg)

SO at Little's last dental appointment, he did awesome but found out he had cavities. Today we went to get them filled. It... did not go well. The laughing gas made him irritable- dentist mentioned some people have adverse reaction like that. Awesome so we've been referred to a pediatric dentist. amichelle723, the dentist mentioned they would give him a "juice" to help him relax but I didn't get the name of the drug. I need to cross reference this with a list of drugs kids with masto should avoid (to avoid a masto reaction and possible anaphylaxis). Do you have any ideas what it would be? His condition is so frustrating. There is so little out there about it and no one is really familiar with it. So each new "thing" I feel like I'm holding my breath. The good news is we can't see to figure out what causes a reaction but the lack of information is annoying.

Pizzaslut, OBX has an (open) outlet mall. And I think there is a Black Beard museum of sorts. There may also be a museum for the Wright brothers but I can't swear to it. Everything else I can think of is outside. I hope you don't need to cancel.

skinandbones- I didn't know Little had masto, did I? Are you on FB? I feel like there's an A15 sibling on FB that has masto. One of my good friend's has masto, along with her 4 kids- all varying degrees of the disease. I know I've posted about the youngest in the post, she has it the worst and has coded several times. I asked her what they use for stuff and she said laughing gas tends to have a negative reaction on her and her kids and they have to do full anesthesia because most meds don't work well for them. Either they react or it doesn't work the way it was intended. I'm not sure how bad littles mast cells are, but maybe that's an option?

We're going to be doing that after we move... most of that stuff except the garage- and a few things in that bedroom- have been sorted and are going out for a garage sale. We have 9 snow discs/sleds (we live in fucking Southern CA) beds, dressers, bookshelves, toys. Once we get the stuff we're taking moved out, H wants to get one of those dumpsters.

We're moving in 2 weeks so trying to sell stuff before then. We have a full 2 weeks after we move to finish clearing out the house. We've started selling stuff the past couple weeks and are up over $300 just in FB buy and sell sites.

mrspiatt, I'm pretty sure we are friends on FB so you are thinking of me. ![:)](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/smiley.png) I'm really trying to avoid full sedation so I guess this is the step before going that route. There are a ton of stuff used for sedation that is contraindicated for masto. Even if this drug is contraindicated, then (I think) the protocol is to dose with Bendrayl beforehand. His masto is pretty minor- it just effects his skin, isn't systemic and his doctor doesn't think his is severe enough to warrant carrying an EpiPen. So really in all likelihood the chances of him have a severe reaction is really really small. There is a masto expert in our area who we saw to get the diagnosis (she didn't feel as though she needed to follow him). However this swings, I'll probably sent an email just for piece of mind. The dentist mentioned even she has a negative effect with laughing gas. He did so well the last appointment that I was really hoping he would be ok this time. Big fat nope.

skinandbones I'm sorry- I can only imagine how frustrating it is. I'm glad littles isn't too severe and I hope it stays that way. Yes, we are FB friends. I'm terrible at putting 2 and 2 together sometimes. You see how amazingly creative I am with my screen name. lol

I just hate going to stores, guys. Especially with both kids. Definitely. I try to do online as much as I can. My friend who also has a 2 year never orders anything online. She says she likes to get out and so shopping is a way to get her out of the house. But I'm like....with a 2 year old??
