It wasn't too bad hangry. Took 5 hours and the artist said I sat like a rock. Funny thing, this wad a few months before I got ptegnant on C. When I was in labour (longest 2 days of life) my mom slept in bed with me and she wasn't able to fall asleep because every time I tensed up from a contraction (every 3-4 minutes at this point) she would feel it and try to comfort me. Well after a few hours I could tell how utterly exhausted she was so I told myself "you sat for a 5 hour tattoo without flinching, you can sit still for 10 minutes to let your mom fall asleep. Get in your zone!". (I did and she slept a few hours lol).

Also, kleigh My mom got her first tattoo when she was in her 40s. It was a mother-daughter bonding day where she got a tattoo and I got my belly button pierced. And MH's grandma got her first (and only) tattoo when she was in her 60s! You're never too old

Beautiful danib! How long did that take? 5 hours. The artist suggested doing it in 2 sessions but I was like NEWP. So she said we would see how I tolerate it lol. We did it in one session.

I don't think that's possible? I'm pretty sure the country code is the same for both US and Canada (1-xxx-xxx-xxxx) That's what I mean. The format is the same but the area code is obviously different. She said she thought she was calling a Quebec number but my CW told her it was US. oh I get it. Yes, if the first 3 numbers were different from my own, I would notice.

When I was 16, I wanted to get my belly button pierced really bad but knew my parents wouldn't consent so I impatiently waited until I was 18. By the time I was 18, I was over it. So I'm too scared to get a tattoo and regretting it a couple years later. I can't think of what I'd get.

Omg the people who sit next to me work on Sirius XM subscriptions. They have been calling and changing the subscription status back and forth for the last hour. If I have to listen to their spiel one more time I'm going to lose it.

So I'm too scared to get a tattoo and regretting it a couple years later. I can't think of what I'd get. I had my belly button pierced. But I tried taking it out like 10 years after I got it (got it at 19 in college)... the hole was just permanently there, like my earring holes. It looked so weird that I just put it back in until a couple years ago. Also when I got that pierced someone had told me "this guy means business, no crying or screaming bc he'll stop and you won't get it"... So I held in all my fear. The next day I was in the shower cleaning it (at college, community bathroom) and I fainted. I woke up butt naked on the ground, body half in the stall, half hanging out of the stall. It was early and apparently no one saw me. I don't know if that's a relief or like "thank God I wasn't dying people!" So don't do it. That's my two cents. Edit spelling. I really need to proof read

What made you faint kleigh?? And lol to getting one now. I'm just sensitive to stuff. I used to faint all the time from the age of like, 8. Things like people being sick, or hospitals, or getting blood drawn, school pictures being taken... I don't know, I was a weird kid/teenager. ETA in that case I was just creeped out that I had to spin thispiece of metal around and in and out to clean it. Like there's a hole in my body.

I am the wimpiest of wimps. I didn't even get my ears pierced until I was 17, and that was because my coworkers blindfolded me and took me to the jeweler on my last day of my summer job 😂 (obviously once they removed the blindfold I had to consent, etc.)
I could never get a second hole, any other type of piercing, tattoo, etc. But beyond that, its fine for other people, it's just not my thing.

Also, hi!
DH has a 4-day wknd and got home early today, so he just took the kids out to pick up lunch. I'm about to take a shower with no fear of a baby waking up, the house burning down, being asked to open a snack, etc. eleventy!!!
Had a nice chat with my sister this morning. I think I mentioned it briefly here, but they are pursuing IVF and she has her very first egg retrieval tmrw morning. If you could spare good thoughts, prayers, vibes, whatever for her, I'd appreciate it.

Hello, morning all.
Laundry and bill filing is complete already, so productive. It's daycares' end of summer bbq this afternoon and I've committed to making 3 dozen Pierogis. By make, I mean boiling, frying adding sautéed onions with butter. Not from scratch. Ain't nobody got time for that.
My Baba is rolling in her grave that I'm buying Ukrainian food instead of making it.

So I got a phone call from Quebec this morning and let it go to voicemail. Some lady left a message in French. Obviously a wrong number so I just deleted it. She called again and I answered but obviously we couldn't understand each other. She kept calling and I ignored it. Then I remembered that my coworker speaks French so I gave him the phone and he talked to her. I guess she thought she was calling a Quebec number. That was my exciting morning. Oh, the Québécois...

They're obviously the most popular item. I mean, you're combining everything wonderful in this world. I also buy mine pre made, the alternative would probably involve me burning my house down. Ain't got no time for that.

Morning! Afternoon?
Did more lumberjacking around my property today. Between the work I did last week and this week alone I've saved us nearly $3k. I'm also researching bird of pray safe chicken enclosures. Because why TF not.
Edit: lol. Bird of prey. Not bird of pray. Although maybe they're both if they say grace before going in for the kill?

So I have to ask.. are you using an ax? Or just pushing the trees down with your supermom strength? I have and handsaw and and a branch cutter thing. I think it's called a lopper? I didn't trust my accuracy to use an ax and chainsaws scare me. I'm going to say a touch of mom strength too, though. I've never been this sore before after any of my crazy workouts. Getting out of bed was rough this morning. So of course I went out and did more. 🤦🏼♀️

flamingo These next 5 days are some of the hardest with IVF so I'll be thinking about her and sending tons of positive thoughts! Thank you. Yes, I'm on pins and needles *for* her, so I can only imagine how she is feeling. They are trying to get enough to bank some so depending on how this all goes, she might have to do another cycle before they can actually do the transfer. I'm crossing everything that they'll get a good # this go-round.

Uhh.. slow? I never thought it would be so hard to spend over a quarter million dollars. One company never called H back. Another took a week to finally call me so we have a meeting schedule with them on the 12th. We're going to look at a model home on Saturday for yet another builder. They originally said we were out of their service area but then changed their minds because they have some project leads that live in our area anyway. Hopefully they'll sit down with us and give us a better quote then we can finally make a decision and move forward.

Amazon is building a warehouse a few miles away from our new house. I can't wait for all the same day shipping! I don't think they do alcohol in MI though.

We're having dinner with our friends tomorrow night, the ones going through IF. They exhausted IUI options and started IVF in May/June. June/July transfer was unsuccessful. We are the only ones they talk about this with but they haven't said anything to me about what I believe is their most recent transfer in early August. They initially said they could only afford two cycles so this would be it I believe. I'm so nervous about dinner tomorrow night. Obv she either has great news or horrible news and I have a lot of feelings for them. It's different that she hasn't text me this month with updates but having been there it could be a (a) don't want to jinx it thing or a (b) I'm tired of giving bad news thing or (c) it worked but I'm afraid of a early loss or (d) it worked but I'm keeping it to myself for a bit. I don't remember how to do this.
