We always need a randoms thread. I'm feeling cranky and a little stressed so I'm posting a happy gif in hopes my attitude improves.

CoachTsWife I saw your post about your doc moving your aeDD and all that. Do you know why she moved your EDD? Have all your US's aligned with the new EDD or was it an LMP move?

rebeccabunch I'm due 10/1 based on LMP. I had an early U/S around 8 weeks and that indicated 9/25. I expressed my surprise to the U/S tech and she basically said that if her measurement was off in the tiniest amount, it changes the EDD by DAYS. It was about a week different so my OB moved it. The level 2 U/S around 18 weeks lined up more with the EDD based on LMP. Also, I was peeing on things and I think I would've turned a test MUCH sooner if I ovulated early (which is indicated if she's right on my due date).

You're a doctor. But you should also trust women to know their own bodies. Especially if we are only talking about a week.

CoachTsWife that's crazy to me that they would change your EDD at this time. If you weren't temping or monitoring I would get it, but you have a clear idea.

August Blooms, they changed my date earlier on, but I ignored it and I'm due 10/1 in my mind. It hasn't bothered me too much but now that she's talking about not going past 40 weeks, etc, I'm like....that's really just barely past 39 weeks in my head.

Had my ultrasound this morning, tech did not give any hints away so I'll have to wait for my midwives to call. I requested they call either way so at least I'll have peace of mind over the weekend. I have an appointment on Tuesday but I'm impatient.
Baby's head is up against my bladder and down which makes total sense with the symptoms I've been having.
I just had the weirdest lunch I've had all pregnancy. Spicy Thai flavored tuna sandwich and after that banana slices with peanut butter.

Maybe they can do a u/s on or around 9/25 to confirm everything looks good and baby is ok and they can let you stay put until after 10/1? You know this, but be upfront w your Dr. Tell her why you are concerned/stressed. Maybe she will understand and agree with you. Maybe she will expand on her reasoning and it will make sense to you.

Yeah, I'm hoping she'll allow me to do BPPs or something to prove all is well in there - I think she'll let me do that. She knows I think the date is early and that I want a natural, med-free labor and delivery. She tells me her #1 priority is healthy mama and healthy baby, which I totally get. If there is an indication that something is going on and baby needs to be out, this is all a moot point. But if everything looks good I think she knows I'm going to push back.

Happy hump day! I think I've been quiet about MH's medical leave saga, but 2 weeks ago he had a plasma injection in his knee, and today is the follow-up to see if the treatment is working. He really has no idea because he's been wearing a brace that prevents him from bending the knee for 2 weeks, so...yeah. If this doesn't look promising then the next step is probably surgery -- which all but one of his docs think he should have had back in April, but the stupid insurance wouldn't approve it, because ONE doctor insisted that this not-necessarily-proven procedure would be the way to go. So dumb. I want his problem fixed, but it kills me that it has been MONTHS of red tape and useless appointments and this is all coming to a head 4 weeks before we have a newborn.

CoachTsWife how frustrating! I'm surprised they didn't stick with the original EDD after the Level 2 US, but what do I know. I hope they hear your concerns and let you wait and see! Mine's the opposite situation, everything seems to line up with 9/25 and even though I was using OPKs some of the results were wonky...so it would explain a lot if I did ovulate early.

Omg rebeccabunch you were so close! I had ARodge on my fantasy team last year so I feel an affinity to him. I don't even really have a "home" NFL team so all my alliances are based on fantasy and/or former Oregon players. seventythree That sounds stressful. I hope it works out and doesn't interfere with baby timing.

CoachTsWife I'm surprised also she was quick to change the EDD at such an early US. My EDD based on LMP is Oct 8th, but I measure about 5-6 days behind at my first US. Dr decided to keep it at 10/8, and he's been measuring along with that date, if not ahead, since.

chitownsully I WFH for the last two months of my first pregnancy and it was the BEST. I'm just trying to get through work today before a long weekend. DS has his speech evaluation tomorrow morning so I'm taking the day off. I am having trouble being motivated to do anything.

Dealing with another headache here, probably due to the weather. So frustrating though! Of course, my kids are acting like maniacs today and refusing to get along. Why won't they just watch a movie?!
Got my Amazon baby welcome box and was pleasantly surprised. A cute swaddle, a Burt's bees burp cloth, a bottle, full size package of wipes, several size 1 diapers in different brands, diapers/wipes wristlet, plus some Dove baby washes. Yay for stuff I'll actually use!

ETA - I think read your update from yesterday and I think your PT plan is a good one. Especially with your mom watching him tomorrow.

Hola mi amigas. I hope everyone is having a good Wednesday. I dropped my poor old man kitty off at the vet again this morning, he's still having mouth pain. They sedated him and did some xrays and found a tooth that was broken off below the gum line and his canine has a pocket of fluid at the root? Not 100% on the last one. Anyway, since we didn't know if he would need surgery he wasn't booked for one, and will be staying overnight at the vet to have the at least the broken tooth pulled tomorrow. I miss him Technically, this is my fault for going with the low cost vet. They didn't do xrays/don't have the ability to xray so there was no way for them to know. In the end, I'll end up paying close to the $1000 i was initially quoted. That's life, I suppose.

I just remembered I put meatballs for meatball subs in the crockpot this morning. My mouth is already watering thinking about them.
I'm bummed I have to wait 2 more weeks to go back to the doctor/get checked, but at least it gives me something to look forward to?
It's raining here so H is home with DD and they are having a lazy day together. Have I mentioned I am soooo over work already!

Took the toddler to the pool for a play date this morning. I can't believe it's one of the last days we can go! I'm figuring out newborn/family photos and finding I enjoy trying to coordinate four outfits--but I have no idea of what to wear 2 weeks post-delivery! Maternity jeans for sure and I guess a flow-y top plus drapey cardigan to cover some of the stomach area? Eee. I know it will be all about the baby and toddler but I still want to make an attempt at looking good...😬

Happy Wednesday! Folding a seemingly endless pile of laundry over here. I decided to wash all of DD's new fall/winter clothes at the same time as our regular laundry which I was already a bit behind on. Luckily I have Netflix and Starbucks so nbd!
Took DD to Starbucks after her 3 year check up this morning for a special treat. Pedi says she is perfectly healthy and that she would like to take her home lol. DD is still tiny (25th percentile for weight, 20th for height) which is funny to me because DH is Dutch and at 6'3" is the shortest of his brothers, even his sister is 6'. Guess she's taking after my side of the family haha! I'm not quite 5'5 and my sister is only a fraction taller than me
