mwhip I have heard it is worth it but also a hard price to pay up front. When I lived in Kazakhstan people would buy half a cow or horse and store it on the outside patio because it was always below freezing. I'm glad to have a deep freeze and not live in a deep freeze! Kazakhstan? Positive I've never heard about you living there at any point. Story time!

Lovely country and people. I was there in 2003 for the stay of the Iraq war. Parental units were not excited for me to be in a Muslim country with very few Americans

@tgrimed, how's your dad doing in rehab? He's doing great! I'll take an updated video tomorrow & post it on SC. He's pissing me off though because this afternoon he beat me in hearts & go fish.

We went to the mall this afternoon to look for shoes for H. I got a good deal on some New Balances at journeys kids, except they are tie. I also stopped into BBW to get some wallflower refills. They have all my favorite fall scents and I can't wait to use them. I passed up 2 good shoe deals at Dillard's last week because they were real shoe strings. I hate that M is now in the little boys shoe section- size 11. Fake laces with velcro is harder to come by now.

Hey so E has lice. Send me all the fucking bourbon. That sucks! I got it a bunch of times when I was a kid (there was a girl in my class who didn't have the best hygiene). You should check into the fairy tail shampoo/conditioner/spray. It's supposed to repel lice.

So you just tie them once and then the kids can slip the shoes on and off. I didn't buy them, so I can't say how well they work.

I already finished off a bottle of red tonight. At lunch I shared a bottle of Sauvignon blanc with my mother & at breakfast I had baileys with my coffee. FWP: I only have white wine left. Someone Amazon prime me some more red please.

tgrimes it gets into the 80s and 90s I'm sure. You just have to go mid to late July. And no, no snow for a while yet.

So my coworkers are fine. I'm just frustrated with boss L. I handed her solid evidence yesterday to take to legal to get a contract broken and she didn't do that and isn't planning to. Why do I even bother to do work when it goes nowhere. WTF? you've been wrong that forever now! I know right. And yesterday we discovered a major screwup on their part. I'm just dropping that and moving on to another project and won't do anything else for it.

tgrimes, Great update! I'm glad your dad is doing well. And I think it's super cute that you play cards with him. My parents and I used to play rummy 500 and one called Squid when I was younger and it's definitely one of my fondest memories of them.

Laces start at size 10.5 and that it really the only option for boys. E was in 10.5 before last summer.

You should check into the fairy tail shampoo/conditioner/spray. It's supposed to repel lice. My best friend growing up had it constantly. Her mom treated herself and the older sister by dying their hair. But that doesn't work. It got to the point that my mom treated head her on the front porch and made her wrap in a towel while she washed her clothes before she could come in.. Every time she came over.

mwhip as soon as we get a new fridge we plan on buying 1/8 of a cow! There is one company that does this, the cows are fed organically and quality of live is waaaay better.

We buy the half, but split it with my in laws, just because 1/2 a cow is a LOT. The half we are getting is 313 lbs and just for the cow, not processing, is $813. I need to dig back through records from when we did this last year to see how much the processing cost. nam2013 YES to tasting so much better! The steaks from the cow last year were the best steaks I've ever eaten. Since we buy from family, I know how the cattle are raised, what they're fed, etc.

Clearly I have no concept of how big a cow really is. I'd have a hard time coming up with $813 for meat up front as well, but you're so right... that'd last for so long! I think I'd have the fear that the power would go out for an extended period of time and I'd lose it all! That's probably irrational though..
