Last night I asked DD if she wanted a baby brother or baby sister. She said "hmmmn, I want baby Margaret!" (From Daniel tiger) The mind of a two year old lol.
Anyway I'm super impatient waiting, it's 7:45 here and my appointment is at 11:45. We're going to do our social media announcement today after we find out too.

Well now it's sucky Monday, the technician who was doing my scan called in sick and they had to reschedule me to Friday. I'm so annoyed.

Lazy Monday here so far. I'm still laying in bed. DS just woke up but he's not asking for me yet, so I'm taking the time to play on the internet. He had some stomach pain and diarrhea yesterday, so I'm hoping it was just a one day thing and not a long term virus. No major plans today besides going to the gym.

Well now it's sucky Monday, the technician who was doing my scan called in sick and they had to reschedule me to Friday. I'm so annoyed. Oh no!! I'm sorry you have to wait longer. I know it's NBD in the scheme of things. But now I have to find childcare last minute for DD bc they don't let kids in there AND he only appointment was 7:45 in the morning so that's a bit trickier on the childcare side too haha. I don't get why they don't have people on call for this kind of thing? I wasn't the nicest to the girl on the phone (oops), she said they had to reschedule every one of this girls appointments. |

dragonflyinn That's such a pain! I would be disappointed in the last minute change too. It's so calm and relaxing at the lake this morning. But only about 14 degrees (I think that's about 60F). I need it to warm up so I can go for a swim.

My bump "bumped" this weekend. I was out running errands Saturday and looked down and realized that while I don't feel like I have a bump I really do. I've been wearing loose tops so it has just been hiding.

Ahh dragonflyinn that's such a let down! Hope Friday comes quick for you! I have to leave for the city soon for my monthly check in with my dr. My mom is able to pop by here on her way to work and let me go in by myself so that will be nice, since it's a longish drive for such a short appt for a 2 and 4 year old anyway. So I'll probably pick up Tim Hortons for everyone on the way out again lol. They moved my drs office into a brand new building in my early pregnancy with DD in a brand new nice neighborhood way easier for me to access than where it was, and then they put a Tim Hortons in the parking lot, it's been so convenient/dangerous being pregnant so much these last few years 😂 My win of the weekend was finding DD a used dresser for her new room for $10! It's nothing fancy but in great shape, is the right colour and will work great in her room so I am so happy about that! I was about to spend a couple or so hundred on a brand new one for our room and give her our old one! Have a good Monday! |

dragonflyinn that is so frustrating!! Sorry for the crappy start to the day. Hope it gets better for you. We are finally home and I think my interview this morning went really well! It would be a huge burden off my shoulders to get this job so I have everything crossed that I do. My anatomy scan is Thursday and I can't wait! Y'all have me nervous about the sneak peek test, I don't mind either way but I just can't wait to know definitively.

Yay for all the AS this week! dragonflyinn-sorry to hear yours was rescheduled. Here's hoping this week goes by fast for you! My AS isn't for another couple of weeks, but I did start to feel some flutters late last week!! It's still not super consistent like I remember with DD, but any time I feel those butterfly movements, it makes me happy. I'm totally dragging ass today. In fact, I may have fallen asleep at my desk for like 10 min. Between going out for the fight on Saturday night and the GOT finale last night, I seriously feel hungover and so exhausted. I cannot wait to get home and crawl into bed...after my bedtime protesting 3 year old finally falls asleep after asking for 5000 things before realizing she really does need to go to bed. 😳 |

We're just hanging out right now watching Dory, gonna do some grocery shopping in a bit and then try to do some cleaning. I'm trying to space out all activities so I don't over do it but man bedrest with a toddler is HARD.
I'm also losing all motivation to plan and make dinners. What's on the menu for y'all this week?

dragonflyinn - How frustrating to be reschuduled on such short notice! Hoping the week passes quickly for you. I'm officially (finally) in the second trimester. Someone please tell my first tri symptoms that they can go away now! I'm WFH with DD again today. We toured a preschool on Friday and I was sold on it and so happy to finally just have picked one, then over the weekend H and I did a bit more research and were looking over the packet of info they gave us at the tour and decided it wasn't as great as we thought at first glance. So I'll be calling two more today and praying that one of them feels like "the one". I know... I am being very extra and overthinking this, but I really just want to make the right decision and there are so many options!!

I only know because we just got back from shopping 😂 - kale, bacon, and sundried tomato pasta - Thai drunken noodles - lemon herb Mediterranean chicken salad - chipotle chicken with avocado sauce Our last few weeks have been a rotation of tacos/fajitas, ravioli, and brats or burgers on the grill though because pregnancy. |

My day ended up being well-spent-- my BFF doesn't work on Mondays so we went to target with DD and I found some jean shorts & a jean jacket! Also tons of cute guy clothes on sale so I got DH a few new shirts for him to try. We got groceries too and walked around with our Starbucks for hours! I hadn't seen my bestie in awhile bc we've both been busy so it was a great morning! Hoping the rest of the week goes by quickly now :/
