For example, I wash and fully style (blow out, use product, etc) on day 1. Day 2 I use dry shampoo if needed, especially if I'm wearing my hair down. Day 3 definitely use dry shampoo, probably wear hair up. If I just let my hair air dry after washing instead of fixing it, I usually can only go 2 days. jedi I'm similar except I wait an extra day to use the dry shampoo. Day 1 - full wash style (often straight bc I'm lazy) Day 2 - half up with some waves Day 3 - dry shampoo and more waves Day 4 - braids (crown, dual) or twists Day 5 - up in messy bun with crown braid Day 6 - shower or say F it, its Sat and I'm a greasy pot (then wait until Monday morning to shower bc lazy) See I'm lazy everyday. I don't do braids (my hair is to short anyway) can't do buns either. Can do pong tail. Really I wanted to start doing this because I thought it would be healthier for my hair and it would make it less frizzy. I workout almost everyday but with my workouts lately (lifting) I'm not sweating a ton. But I still want to shower and wash my body daily or almost daily

When I say I'm lazy, I mean I don't style my hair. Ever. I brush it and pull it back sometimes

redandblue when do you expect your new house to be ready? The house isn't supposed to be ready until the end of January. I just can't believe we have to make like ALL of the decisions before the end of September! Crazy to me. But then I guess it's done and we just get to watch the progress.

Hey ladies! I haven't been in since Thursday, I think. C has been falling asleep on his own and doesn't fuss about it anymore. In fact, the other day he said he is a big boy now and likes eggs. Just a few weeks ago we were still trying to get him just to have a few bites. This weekend he willingly put eggs on his plate!!
K has been horrible going to bed the past two nights. Over an hour of her just babbling and being restless. I think I fell asleep before her last night and moved her to her bed around 130. Tonight I put her in her crib and sat in her room with her. Still took over an hour, but she fell asleep in her crib. Not being held or laying in our bed. Hoping she sleeps well and this is a thing we can continue to build on!

Paging mamallama . How are things going lady? I hope you are doing well and haven't murdered one of your IL's! What's the count down at now? How many bottles of wine until move in day? Lol Hey! Things are....going. The house is progressing nicely, and we hope to move in, in about 2 weeks. I'm a day at a time. I just....don't want to be at IL's. Since I get out of work at 3:00, and FIL doesn't ever seem to work, I try and find things to do until 5:00. It's bad for my bank account. Ha! I bought a new sofa last week, and a couple of accent chairs yesterday. I've been trying new drinks lately, too. Last Friday I bought a bottle of barrel aged gin. I'm not a gin fan, but the barrel aged stuff was ok. The housing situation has really got me down motivation wise. I don't want to go to work, I don't sleep well. Not having our own space is hard when I feel like I'm sort of not welcome. I dunno. It's hard because the kids just want to be upstairs with grandma and papa, and don't understand why I tell them "no". They don't get that we're not there because they want to play with the kids 7 days a week. I spend so much time trying to keep DS off the basement stairs. We do barriers so he can't go up, but he gets so mad he can't go up! When we're in our own house and he can go where ever, it will be so much easier. And when we have space for all of our stuff! Ugh! I'm just trying to cope these days the best I can. To make things more interesting DD started school a week ago, so there's that stress too. SERENITY NOW!

librarylady I'm sorry today was so rough. That would make me sad too. I hope her next day is better. Could they give her a fun job to help with? Or maybe try to give her a little extra TLC to help with the transition? Maybe bring something special from home like a stuffed animal to comfort her. Fingers crossed that this was just an off day. Thanks for the ideas! I'm trying to be extra patient with her, but it doesn't help matters that MH is out of town for seven days, I am a pregnant lady hormonal monster, plus we just potty trained and started school. Whew! Her teachers did ask if she has a paci or a blankie that she could bring, but she doesn't. She is way more big girl than baby these days. She does love her stuffed animals, but I think bringing that would cause problems with the other kids. She has a lovey that she sleeps with, but she has never had it outside of the crib. I think I might give her the new baby's lovey and tell her if she feels sad she can cuddle it.

librarylady sorry for the rough day. That is definitely hard and pulls on the heart strings. M bawled every time at drop off until the past 3 days. He has finally connected with one teacher in particular, so drop off's are not longer horrible. I'm sure it will get better. aydee gave some great suggestions on transitional comfort items. Perhaps you can make a book about her preschool and read it to her frequently (take pics of the classroom/teachers and different activities). And add what the routine is there, so she knows when to expect you to pick her up (ie/ first drop off, snack, play time, outside time, small group, stories and then mommy comes). I'm glad things got better for M! I like the taking pictures and making a book idea. I think they have their routine written down somewhere in the welcome packet, so that's another good idea.

I'd be careful with the new baby's lovey if you're going to eventually take it away and give it to the baby. You don't want to create resentment. Can you get her a big kid thing she's excited about? Maybe go pick out a pretty necklace she likes that she only wears at school. If school is open to letting her have a stuffed animal that could be really comforting. I don't think it's an unusual request at this age. This will also likely get better over time with more exposure. I'm sorry it's so rough right now.

I just washed my hair for the first time since Saturday. I can't stop petting myself. It is so soft.
