Good morning ladies! We've been having a rough morning over here. DD woke up crying at 530, which is unusual for her and early for her. So she's melting down over the smallest things. We might take her to the zoo for a little bit later this AM and it has a splash pad too. That'll hopefully get us to naptime sanely.

Hi everyone! We've been busy since we got back from our trip earlier this week!
I had a great appt at the MFM on Thursday, I don't think I mentioned it here yet. I thought it was for the echocardiogram but that isn't until October. But basically it was like an anatomy scan (even though I'm 16 weeks) and everything they could see looked just fine! I'll go back for the actual AS in 4 weeks and the echo 4 weeks after that, but we're really happy with things right now.
Poor little E (2yo) picked up a cold, maybe on the plane. DH has it too. I'm OK I think although I did have an upset stomach yesterday (some diarrhea) but I seem mostly back to normal today.
We are going to go tell E's cousins about the baby this morning and then I am going to get a haircut!

DS woke up two hours earlier than usual this morning, so I'm doing the zombie thing. Might be taking a nap when he does today!

I didn't sleep well last night, not sure if it was related to the nap I took at 5:00 or pregsomnia. It was after 2:00 when I fell asleep, maybe closer to 3.
I'm going to work on Faith's quilt for a bit this morning, hair appointment at noon and then run some errands so I can get the curtains and blinds up on the second window in the nursery. I need to get some different sized curtain rods... I'm going to watch my nephews and niece tonight for a few hours. DH is their favorite and he won't be here for long because he is going to go watch a boxing match (ugh, hate boxing) with friends. They will be sad when he leaves but they will get over it.

Hi!
We have been busy today. We packed up the car and are heading to my uncles house on a lake. We are actually about 20 minutes from our destination. We have been on the road since 8am. G is being a champ. 😊

Morning! Friends of ours let us know they are camping at one of the lakes near us this weekend so we are going to pop out to their site at lunchtime for a hot dog roast. Then MIL is coming out this afternoon and bringing pizza from the city with her so yay! Minimal meal planning today haha. We just got some wall shelves I want to get up in our living room, so that will happen sometime this weekend. Oh! And I don't think I shared this here! We decided after 4 years of disposables to make the switch to cloth and everything came in this week! Lol my belly made an appearance in the pic.  So DS has been wearing his trainers the last couple nights and loves them, and we just put DD in a cloth diaper today and she thought it was cool too. So, wish us luck as we figure out our new system! I'm happy we have practice time with these two before a newborn enters the scenerio haha! |

DH had yesterday off, so we got some stuff around the house done after we went to the 15/16 week appointment. He was really excited to hear the heartbeat.
Today so far has been a breakfast visit to the bagel shop, and a haircut for DS. We had a nice lunch of grilled hot dogs with veggies and dip. Now the boys are off for a walk while I take a nap.

Hi yall, just been cleaning here. My house has been a wreck so I finally cleaned and well. The couch was furry and stinky and it's currently NOT so I'm happy.
My best friend from child hood is coming over for lunch and I'm so excited to see her!

I'm on my way to my brother's wedding! Thankfully the seamstress was able to make my bridesmaid dress fit. I couldn't even do it up a week ago. I'm pretty sure this will be the most over the top, fancy wedding I've ever been to. Too bad I can't drink!

Well we had a great morning at the zoo. It wasnt hot enough for the splash pad, but they had an awesome playground we ran around at after. And I got some fried dough!! DD even peed in the big scary potty there!! I was so impressed how she hopped up on it like it was NBD, especially since she really has only used her small potty up until a day or so ago. It was a good time all around.

Also: the baby's movements are now big enough to see my belly move!! But they're just random kicks here and there. It catches me off guard when I see something poke out every once in a while in my peripheral vision 😂

amesie I can't wait to see/feel baby on the outside! I have An anterior placenta so sometimes I can barely feel it but hopefully soon

I'm a bit of a mess this weekend. Can't tell if it's just pregnancy hormones/recent pregnancy complication stress/ or if I've just lost it completely 🤔
We had our doctors appointment yesterday and the placenta hasn't moved up enough and the umbilical cord is kinda low in the cervix area. I didn't really get too much information on this because I was in a bit of a blur but i now have to switch to a high risk Ob instead of my regular one. Trying to remain smart and stay off google for this - so if anyone has any insight that's not horrific or worst case scenarios I would love to hear it!
Also the ultrasound report showed that we are actually having a boy. So I guess the bloodwork was wrong somehow, not sure. Trying to work through everything but I do feel a bit disappointed and sad.

I told my dr at my last apt that MH could feel my DD kicking at 18 weeks and she was like "WHAT that is wicked early!!" She made me feel crazy and I was second guessing my memory haha. But sure enough, 18 weeks this time and I could actually SEE it. Apparently I have strong kickers |

This kid has not quit kicking today! Not that I'm complaining but I hope he tires out closer to bed time. DS has been camping with MIL since Thursday and we finally met them at the camp ground thus evening. He was so happy to see us but then he wanted to go home. Sorry kid, you got another night.

So the friend's we visited with today were also out with another couple we'd never met before. We all went out on their boat together all afternoon so I was wearing my new maternity bathing suit and their friend who I just met (who is also Irish so said this with such a cute accent which just added to it) "you have like a designer pregnancy body! Your belly is just the cutest thing!" //blush

maddisonrose hugs about the low placenta/umbilical cord and the possible sex confusion. Could you request another u/s or another blood test? I can't remember if your test was the sneak peak or the doctor office test. Maybe they could do a test from the office?

Ugh hugs maddisonrose for all of that!! Does that mean you are still on bedrest? Pregnancy hormones or not, id say everything you are feeling is completely justified. You have had a rough go so far with the bedrest, placenta issues, GD, and now the sex confusion. I'm sorry you're feeling so beat from everything  is there any way you can request another scan? I would not be satisfied with this confusion with the blood test and the uncertainty of the ultrasound tech. |
