Just a normal day over here. As I mentioned in the TMI thread, I kind of got squished by another mom while picking up DS at school. I feel so big lately...I'm just kind of like...how can my due date still be over 8 weeks away?? Oh well. Third trimester woes I guess.
In happier news - I found out my Dad is definitely coming out here for Christmas and New Years! We're so excited to be able to physically spend time with a family member over the holidays. The last 3 out of 4 years it's just been us for Christmas/NY out here, so this will be a nice change of pace! Plus, he'll get to spend quality time with the baby and DS. Something fun to look forward to 😀

We had terrible storms overnight and there was a lot of flash flooding. Nothing that impacted us directly, but my commute was terrible. I cannot believe DS slept through the storms; he's scared of thunder and it was l-o-u-d. I'm grateful though.
I'm starting to feel 'short-timers syndrome' at work. I plan to work until I go into labor but my motivation to be productive is lacking.

Good morning ladies Midwife appt this afternoon, but not much else on the agenda. I've checked off at few things from my to do list, which feels good. So much to do yet though.

Another busy day at work today. I have so much I need to do and zero motivation to do it. A coworker was recently telling me how her second baby came 4 weeks early. I was thinking that's just two weeks away from where I am now. I know I don't at all expect him to come that early but it hadn't really crossed my mind that it's still a possibility. Whenever he comes, 4 weeks or 6 weeks from now, I can't believe we are finally this close to meeting him!

I'm still in PJs. H has been staying with us at my dad's because they traveled to NC for the eclipse. So we shared a bed for the first time in months (I'd been sleeping in the couch at home because our bed is so uncomfortable), and somehow I still ended up on the couch. I couldn't sleep, it was hot in the room, H snores so loudly. I hate to say it, but I'll be happy to have the bed to myself again tonight.
Our new bed gets delivered to the new house September 16th, and I cannot wait. We went with a split king so we could each have our own mattress firmness, and they're on adjustable bases, so we can sleep inclined however we like. If we can manage to get rid of H's snoring, I may actually enjoy sharing a bed with him again. Lol

mkrupar I feel you on the bed situation. I woke up this morning and I was taking up a good 80% of the bed (to be fair the cat was taking up his fair share too). I'm not sure I would have been able to sleep comfortably last night if H was home. Hey guys, not much going on here today. I need to clean my kitchen but I'm afraid to get up and start doing things for fear my back will start hurting. I googled and it could be SJP? Or something? It could be pregnancy related, which makes me sad. I'm hopeful the stretches and ice help me manage it for the next 8 weeks.

Anyone else sad there's no September board here to creep on?
Running errands and doing some much-needed chores today. The toddler is getting a haircut and I scheduled mine for next week!

DD woke up for an hour at 1:30, crying. We couldn't calm her. Then I just couldn't get back to sleep. I maybe got 5 hours of broken sleep last night. So tired.
I typically WFH but my boss is in town today so I'm in the office. I really don't want to be here.

Busy week at work. Just got assigned to a new project I'm excited about, but the timing kind of sucks. I'm also struggling with motivation. Everything is getting done, but usually I am more proactive/ get things done further in advance.
Daycare is closed next week and I can't take off because it is our busiest week at work and no one is allowed to take time off. This happens every year and DS either spends the week with my parents to H's parents. He's going to H's parent's this year. This week I'm trying to spend as much time with DS as possible and get him packed for the week. I'll miss him next week, but it will be nice to be able to focus on work stuff. And H and I will get a few dates in as well.

30 weeks today and it is just crazy to me how little time there is left until we meet this baby. I ordered everything we need off my registry and we should have everything delivered by the weekend. I have so much motivation to get all that done but nothing done at work. I'm just checked out but there is still so much to do and I still plan to work up until I deliver.

Morning! DD slept a little bit later than she has been, I left at 8:30 to go to therapy, just got home and she and MH are gone...I'm assuming to the park, since the van is still here. Going to enjoy the peace while it lasts!

mkrupar, MH and I have not shared a bed for at least 50% of this pregnancy. I was actually surprised to roll over and see him at 6:30 this morning! Sometimes it's deliberate, but generally one of us (usually him) will leave for the couch or guest bed MOTN. We both snore/shuffle/whatever, and he heats up the bed which is nearly unbearable right now... it just depends who wakes up and gets annoyed first, hahaha. It'll be interesting to see what happens once the baby is here.

Anyone else sad there's no September board here to creep on? Running errands and doing some much-needed chores today. The toddler is getting a haircut and I scheduled mine for next week! Am I the odd one out for not really having the desire to creep on neighbouring BMBs? I mean I understand WHY people do it, I just... don't care about what's going on at S17. This is my group, yanno? Anyone else? Bueller?

I like to see what's coming up, I guess. I don't stalk other BMBs and haven't had the desire to lurk/find Sept but I remember I'd stalk various ones on The Bump back in the day to see what was going on at x weeks.

The end of the year is our busiest time at work, and I am so happy I will miss most of it while on maternity leave. I feel bad leaving coworkers even more shorthanded, but I have been working 10-12 hour days already and I just want a long long break.
My mom picked up BBQ breakfast tacos this morning and brought me 6!! They are going to be my lunch. Not all, maybe 2.

Back from our camping/total eclipse trip! I'm sure everyone is sick of talking about it so I won't go into detail, but it was awesome and really surreal. Poor DS was freaked out when totality happened -- I don't blame him, it was SO sudden, everyone was hooting and hollering, and there was this crazy shimmering orb around a black hole where the sun had just been. But then he calmed down and thought it was cool. And then, just like that, it was over. Anyway, it was totally worth 3 nights of camping in a tent at 30 weeks pregnant.
Now I'm feeling like our last big hurrah of summer is over, which means I need to focus on wrapping up work stuff in the next 10 weeks. Buuuut, ugh, I'm so not in the mood to work! I can't believe some mamas here are 34-35 weeks. That makes it seem so real.
Re: Stalking BMBs, I totally would if we had a Sept one here. I like to see what's coming up.

I also stalked boards to get a sense of when my newborn would actually sleep at night (i.e., when the MOTN threads were few and far between). Spoiler: it was more depressing than helpful. :/

If there are threads about gear, I like reading those too.

CoachTsWife I have my countdown going, my desire to be a productive employee is dropping as the days go on. And thanks for the link so I can be a creeper. Taitai That's exciting! My belly is also getting randomly bumped but by my coworkers bubblefan I am sad about it, last pregnancy I loved creeping the BMB ahead of me.

And yay! Greg is my favourite.

Baby 3 update: I think DH and I have agreed on a name. It's not my first choice at all, but it's better than the other name he wants. So. Malco.lm Is.aiah Midwife wants me to gain back the weight that I've lost by my next appointment. Baby is suddenly measuring 3 weeks ahead (fundal height) after measuring perfectly this whole pregnancy. Hoping it doesn't mean I'm having a giant baby.
Anyone want to chat fall/winter fashion? What are you going to be wearing post partum? My wardrobe needs a major update and I'm trying to figure out what to buy.

mommabakes, I'm thinking leggings with swingy tops and cardigans with boots/flats will be my go-to outfit for going out. I will probably cave and buy a pair of jeans to wear until I fit back into my pre-pregnancy ones. At home, I will live in my normal yoga pants/tank/hoodie.
