Morning!!
I have to finish my closet clean out that I started last Wednesday. So much shame that it's taking me this long. So much more shame that I've already filled up four steel sack bags with stuff to be donated and still am not done.
I could do so much more but between 2 summers in a row of maternity clothes followed by a winter nursing and not knowing wtf to wear I don't want to pull the trigger on stuff that I used to wear a lot, but just haven't been able to wear.
I did realize that I need to get myself a nice dressy outfit for unexpected things like funerals or what have you. I'm torn between a black wrap dress or just getting a nice park if well fitting black pants. And actually going to get them hemmed like a GD adult. I'm also stuck on dress shoes. I wistfully stare at my stilettos everyday, but there is no way I can walk in them anymore.

My 9.5 month old definitely slept better as a newborn. ZzzZzzZzz. From 8pm-7am I was holding a restless child.

I know this is your last 9 months in a nutshell, hugs friend I would be in an asylum at that point. I have 9 more bedtimes before we are in our house and we can work on getting his sleep back.

So C seems to be a couple months late but last night, for the first time, he rolled onto his tummy in his sleep and cried when he couldn't flip back. I thought we were going to skip this whole phase. He is also getting really brave with his walking and will go from couch to walker to ottoman with ease. Yesterday he also let go for the first time. He seems like he changed so much in one weekend.

Morning! goldenlove I know what you mean about how quickly they change. DH has been away from the kids for close to 3 weeks and I think he'll be shocked by C when he comes home tomorrow, and even surprised by B a bit. No big plans for us today, just some housekeeping stuff. I really need to get a few things done so it looks like I've made *some* progress. I potted* these flowers for the porch yesterday, so that looks better. *not really, I bought them at Lowes...but H doesn't know that

O slept way worse as a newborn! sophiegrace I think a black wrap dress is a perfect "basic" wardrobe item.

All I want to say is that he is right on time girlie! Right on time. Just remember that ❤️ I remember the first pic you posted when he was leaning up (standing) against the couch. My two couldn't even sit without falling over at that point lol. I was sure he was going to walk first (in the group) lol. Speaking of all this, the wonder weeks thing, is it a free download in the Apple Store? What do I need to know about it, is it pointless now that they're almost 1? Edit spelling and clarify

Hi. Writing from the pedicure chair. Then I'm shopping. My MIL is watching the kids. There will probably be booze involved here shortly.

I shudder to think what a sitter up here will charge for 2, but I need to get on it and find out (and fine some sitters!) We need a date night.

Edit spelling and clarify You can download it in the App Store or buy the book. We used the app for DS and I really liked it. I haven't been following along with it for L because I really don't want a reminder of how dang long some of those stormy periods are!! It goes until kids are around 18mo so you'd still get plenty of use out of it. If anything, I really liked getting a description of what leap we were in and what they'd be able to do coming out of that leap. I found it all very interesting but hated the reminder that a stormy period was starting and would last for a freaking month!

Edit spelling and clarify Haha yeah he started "standing" very early and he would stand all day if we let him now. He was never a big roller though so it was weird to me that he started doing it now. Wonder weeks is free and you get a breakdown of the leaps. They are pretty short at this point so I'd say it's worth it. It just helps to know what kind of things I should be doing with him now to help him though this new phase.

I just paid $15 an hour but that was DC and a terrible baby (because that is what C is for anyone except me and H) I think $12 is generally ok. Are you connected with the base spouses? I know often they have co-op type situations or at least older siblings that are available for babysitting. And you are VB correct? I have some connections there if you want actual sitter recs for the area.

I picked my sister up at the airport and now I'm rummaging through my parents kitchen looking for baileys &/or kahlua.

goldenlove it's amazing watching these babies lately. You're so right, it seems like some of these days out of nowhere she'll just wake up with the ability to do the craziest stuff. Beautiful flowers flamingo! I've been wanting to get some for my steps for awhile. Thanks for the motivation! aggiebug between the baby and the dogs I might actually be living in an asylum. Thanks cookswithwine! I've been really shying away from trendy things as the years go on and cleaning out my closet has me really wanting some nice staples. Since I wear scrubs to work I have no decent dressy clothes and that always comes to bite me when I need something last minute. kleigh I also recommend the wonder weeks app. It's amazing how spot on it is for the sunny days. This next stormy period is (I think) five weeks long 😭😭. waitwhat. Girl. Enjoy yourself! I'm soooo jealous.

+1 to the babies changing so quickly. I looked at D this morning and she looks different to me. Older somehow. Also more beautiful. Idk how she pulled that one off, but she did. Her smile is amazing <3 waitwhat have the best day!! Sounds like you are already off to a good start. sophiegrace I can see Snow-phie just fine (lol btw) UO: I hate the Wonder Weeks. It just gives me anxiety. No thank you.

WFH this afternoon. My depo this morning was short and sweet, and the woman was really nice. I'm tired AF but the good news is the early start put me ahead on my billing for the day. Which is a good thing because I spent the last two hours out of the house at Orangetheory and catching up on here.

dashook I look at M and think the same thing. She is just breathtaking to me. I realize everyone thinks that about their own babies, but man, she's perfect.

Sitting in the waiting area. Now I'm wishing I had bought vodka on the way to the hospital.
Liquor stores should deliver.

I did run into a very good looking dr who asked if we needed help. We were lost in the hospital. He gave us directions and walked away. 5 seconds later I had to ask someone else for directions because I wasn't listening to anything he said.
Once my dad goes back into surgery I'm going on a mission to find him so I can take a pic for y'all.
BECAUSE THATS WHAT FRIENDS DO!
