How far along are you? 28w5d Appointments coming up? 3 hour glucose test on Friday How are you feeling? Okay, anxious. Really hoping I don't have GD. I have a lot going on and stress eating chocolate is what gets me through my days My fingers and feet are starting to swell a bit, I couldn't get my rings off for four days. Probably some of that was due to the heat here, since I finally got them off at work today in the AC. Thinking I might just keep them off now. Any updates/interesting tidbits from recent appointments? Failed the 1 hour glucose screen plus I'm anemic, so starting iron supplements today. Hoping that helps with my exhaustion, I've been getting tired just from walking recently which is unusual for me. Also my fundal height measured at 33cm which is a lot. My OB wasn't worried yet and said we'll see how it looks next appointment and what the growth trend is. QOTW: What's your favourite genre of movies? IDK, I never watch movies anymore. Probably comedy.

doxiemama, I'll be thinking about you on Friday! The 3 hour is not pleasant, but it's not the WORST thing. The iron supplements should help your energy level. I was on them for my first pregnancy and they helped. Just watch the potential for constipation.

And if you've never been on iron before, don't be alarmed when it turns your stool black. When I was first diagnosed with anemia, the doctor didn't tell me to expect that and I was sure I was dying. (I wasn't.) Iron on an empty stomach can also make you feel gross and sick, so I always try to take it at least with a glass of juice (anything with vitamin C is good). Give yourself a few weeks to feel better as your body builds up better stores. It's amazing how different iron can make you feel! You don't even realize HOW tired you are until it gets better.

Also, yes, take your rings off doxiemama if you are worried about swelling. Don't be the postpartum woman crying at the jewellers because your wedding rings are being cut into three pieces each before you lose a finger. I was that woman and it was not great.

This also happened to my mom. I took my rings off around... 12 weeks? LOL. Also +1 to iron causing constipation. I apparently bled a lot after having DD and was prescribed iron. I had to take stool softeners to help counteract (also helped with post partum poops in general).

Thanks, grumpycat, misskilljoy, thatgolfb. Rings are off today and I took my first iron supplement this morning with cranberry juice. I guess tomorrow I will wait until after my test to take it and go from there.
