Eclipse day here, we are in the path but I think only 75% ish. We had a full one back in the 90's, the school kept us inside and we got to watch it on the tv. I'm keeping DD home so we can continue with PT.

Purchased my first ever pair of maternity underwear...obsessed! Where have these been all my life

We're in the path of totality (99.87% at our house, 100% a little north of here). It. Is. Crazy. All over my social media, the news, etc. Schools changed plans over the weekend (some closed, some keeping kids inside) due to not being able to verify the authenticity of their solar viewing glasses. DH's school is still taking the kids outside as far as we know. My boss told me on Friday that she's working from home today and I was free to do so as well. TWIST MY ARM!
Yesterday DS and I drove down to my families for my niece and nephews baptism, which was yesterday evening. We had a fun, but tiring, day -- so I'm thankful I can work from home today. I.e., in my PJs and avoid rush hour + solar eclipse traffic.

Confession: I think all the eclipse hype is weird. I don't plan to watch it or do anything differently than I normally would.

britt I bought some last pregnancy and wasn't impressed. Where did you get yours? CoachTsWife They were showing on the news some areas where it will be totality and it's crazy the amount of people showing up to experience it, I don't blame you for staying home.

Confession: I think all the eclipse hype is weird. I don't plan to watch it or do anything differently than I normally would. I'm going to watch on the NASA website but I'm kinda with you on this. We got invited to a kid eclipse party but I decided naptime was more important because I'm boring. I think if you went to see it, you wouldn't regret it. It's just not high on my priority list but if I had an older kid super into space I'd probably think differently.

Good morning. I have a case of the Monday blues. I'm 34 weeks today and already looking soooo forward to maternity leave and spending all my time at home with my two babies. Hurry up, Oct. 2!
Re: the eclipse...our geology department on campus is going to have several safe ways set-up to view the eclipse so my boss and I are going to walk over. I'm not going crazy over it, but I do think it will be something neat to see.

If I had some glasses, I'd probably step outside and take a peek, but I don't. It's right in the middle of DD's nap time here, so I'm planning on just keeping the schedule. I think we're in 80% totality here in MD. I may take advantage of the dark and nap myself.
Had a pretty good weekend. The movers moved our furniture to the new house on Saturday. It's being stored in the garage/enclosed carport until we can get the hoise cleaned, repainted and floors refinished. We're meeting with our contractor Saturday for a quote.
I'm solo with DD today. My dad and the guys are in NC for the eclipse, and H is at work. I'm keeping it low key. I'm having some pelvic pain, so picking DD up and doing activities is a bit difficult.

I'm keeping DD home from daycare because I'm not sure what they plan to do for the eclipse and I don't want to risk her eyesight. I don't get all the hype... I think we're 80% totality here in NorCal.
Need to make a Walmart trip this morning and then I plan to take it easy today.

CoachTsWife I think it's pretty cool that you will have 99%+ totality at your place - let me know how dark it gets! I am about as far away from this solar eclipse as is humanly possible (well...on earth at least...the people up in the ISS might have me beat...but then again...maybe not since they are technically closer to the moon???) ANYWHO - so no special glasses or viewing of anything going around over here. Maybe the fact that I'm missing out makes me more interested in this one. I remember going outside to look at a solar eclipse (on a sheet of paper I held in my hand) when I was in grade school - but feeling underwhelmed. Like, it didn't get totally dark and just felt like a storm was coming. This one seems like a bigger deal though - maybe just all the hype from social media nowadays. Today was a good day. It was the first day of the new term at DS' nursery school, and he did really well with his new teacher! No crying and lots of singing apparently. I am still getting over this dumb cold...I can't wait to breath through my nose again. I'm sick of breathing through my mouth and looking like Michael Phelps when I talk.

Put me in the camp of do not care about the eclipse. We are 92% for totality but it's supposed to be cloudy sooo not even sure if it'll be good. I'm just hoping my commute home this evening is not horrendous.
Weekend was alright. MH and I got into it off and on yesterday. His biggest complaint is my mood/attitude which I agree sucks but I feel like shit, hurt daily and am just over pregnancy. I told him I really am trying but he just needs to suck it up. A little harsh but I feel like I get a little bit of a pass right now.

I've always wondered if there is an evolutionary/biological reason for this but can't think of one. You'd think it would be the other way.

DS2 just pooped in the potty! Unprompted, just went. He hasn't gone since his accident Saturday morning so H and I were getting nervous. This is a big relief to me. 🍾
I realize it's a little much to post about my kids pooping triumphs but if not here, where?

I'm sadly not in the path of totality, and have no real desire to travel all the way to South Carolina to see it so I'll probably check out NASAs live stream of the eclipse.
Outside of eclipse news, it's finally Monday and I can go to my chiropractor!! I'm so pumped after trying and failing to get there all last week.

Had our 3D ultrasound this weekend! It was hard to hear anything over DD's crying (fake tears) but baby boy looks healthy! I think DD was just scared bc the room was dark and I'm on a bed with this lady moving this thing on my stomach and she didn't know what to do. I felt so bad, she was really excited in the waiting room. Oh well. Baby apparently weighs about 3lbs 13oz and the tech didnt see him packing on more than 3 more lbs. DD was born at 6lbs 7oz, so me and my vag are okay with delivering another small baby. He has lots o' hair, big feet and hands and very long legs. He also seems to have the same nose and lips as DD. 32 weeks today I love having my ticker change on Mondays haha

We are taking DS and I'm fully expecting him to be scared and cry. We brought him to our first appointment thinking he would like it and he freaked the minute I got on the table.

I specifically waited until this u/s to bring DD bc the last few weeks she's gotten excited about a baby being in my belly. I definitely did not see the tears coming, but I understand them...now. haha. It was rather annoying on the table.

Long day yesterday involving a bridal shower for my cousin's wife (although they've been married nearly 4 years, so I'm side eyeing), visiting with the ILs, and lots of driving time. Saturday we went to a revolutionary war reenactment at a nearby fort, and today I need to catch up on house stuff. Getting a good start this morning, and the kids are cooperating thankfully. It's also DSs birthday and I can't believe he's 2!
I realized yesterday that I have 7 weeks left before baby and tons on my to do list. Cleaning and freezer meal prep, and prepping a birthday party for my kids. Plus all of the regular stuff and soccer games for DD. I'm a bit overwhelmed but trying to make weekly to do lists to get it all done in time.
I also desperately need new bras, my current ones are really digging into my rib cage, but they're like $70 a piece and it's so hard to spend money on myself! I'm also putting together a huge clothing/shoe wishlist for fall/winter and I just want to buy it all now. Basically I needs money!!

Also not planning on checking out the eclipse today. Like mkrupar , we are only like 80% totality here. I might look up the NASA stream though. rachydc DS did that when we went to get our gender reveal elective ultrasound. He thought we were in a doctor's office and got scared when they started the ultrasound on me. DH had to hold him and bounce him while playing YouTube videos on his phone to get him to calm down, and we ended up getting data overage with our cell bill because of the video streaming haha. As for me, the first day back to work after 2 weeks off is not a fun time. I feel bad because the main customer I work with hammered my replacement with work while I was out. They always seem to go crazy when one of us is out of the office.

My nausea and smell sensitivity is making a return. My MIL made eggs this morning and I almost threw up. I spent a solid few minutes dry heaving yesterday morning because of a kitchen smell. Today it's just straight nausea. I'm 35 freaking weeks, enough already!

I had somehow forgotten about the sleep nursing bras. I pulled them out over the weekend, and they are glorious. I need to get more of them, and some regular nursing bras. I'm interested in the eclipse, but I'm not planning to adjust my schedule or try to make pinhole cameras or anything. I'll just watch the NASA live stream. mommabakes, how exactly does one end up having a bridal shower after being married for 4 years? caitost21, rebeccabunch, Everything my H does right now annoys the crap out of me. And I know I'm an a-hole a lot of the time. This is normal. rebeccabunch, yay for poop on the potty! We're still struggling with that part. Also, DS got distracted while he was peeing yesterday and somehow managed to pee all over the bathroom and his face. So that happened.

Today it's just straight nausea. I'm 35 freaking weeks, enough already! I hate the smell of eggs when I'm not pregnant, so when I'm pregnant this is the worst smell. H makes eggs every morning, so we don't eat breakfast together. He has to go it while I'm in the shower and he has to turn the vent on the stove on high and light candles. And scrub all dishes and the sink before I come downstairs. I'm gagging just thinking about egg smells.

MH unexpectedly sold my car yesterday! Our neighbours asked him if we were planning to keep all 3 cars, turns out they are looking for something for their teenage daughter. H threw out a slight lowball figure, but it's still over 2x what Carmax was going to give me...plus I figured everything being in metric would be a deterrent to most buyers here. It's a 10 year old car but with low mileage, they are totally getting a deal but it will be SUCH a weight off! Our only backup plan was to store it in our garage, which...did not thrill me. Plus I can finally release my anger at my brother for backing out of our deal.

blackmamba I think you have to be pretty gift grabby and tacky. They never had a big celebration for their wedding and I guess she's decided that she regrets that? I have no idea.
