Well, I got 3rd place in the bake-off. That dumb cute cake won 1st and then there was a triple chocolate mousse cake that got 2nd (I actually thought this one was going to get 1st). Oh well, maybe next year. You're always 1st in my book ILY, SG! But actually I was just talking with the gal who won first place, and it turns out that she didn't even bake the cake! She decorated it herself, but she bought the rounds from Safeway. She said she was upfront about it to the person in charge of everything and who said it was OK since she did decorate it. So, in my head I'm telling myself I won 2nd place.

Well we're on the road. We somehow managed to all get ready and packed and in the car by 10:30. Dropping the dog off at ILs then C at my parents house then we'll be heading up north. Of course it started raining. Safe travels! Will Brenda be making an appearance this weekend?😂 Haha probably not. This group doesn't get too crazy these days. Except the guy who won't be there.. he's usually fun to watch get drunk.

goldenlove, judged. They had a group of people go down and try all of the entries and they picked the winners. Then the rest of the building could put a dollar in to try everything (money went to Seattle Humane Society).

That's not even right jubilantsquirrel However you can buy a couple Panera brownies with that GC so your weekend will still be delicious. Next we're gonna find out Panera doesn't bake their own stuff either?! Gaaaaaasp! sophiegrace I had a little pinch in my heart reading that. I am so so sorry 😞 I'm not familiar enough with primary food allergies, can those be desensitized to also? Is there a possibility she grows out of it? And would dairy/egg be like peanut allergy that she can't really be around it? In the words does the household need to make a change? goldenlove Have all the fun!!! You and YH could always retire to the bedroom early for "adult time" AKA getting drunk together and watching movies or playing a game! tgrimes Is there a seperate section for the Disney stuff? I was just on baby gap yesterday and I don't think I came across the Disney stuff. That said t was during nap time and o was internet window shopping like a mad woman looking for deals.

MH is pissing me off. He sat at the breakfast table this morning endlessly complaining about going to work today. Like I get it but I don't want to sit thru ten minutes of complaining, I would love a day away. And then he spilled some milk and about had a shit attack, started slamming things. The other day he got so pissed off that he broke my potato masher. He was apparently whacking the potato off the masher in the sick and did it so hard he broke it in half. Calm the fuck down. Are we married to the same man? I'm so over MH's disproportionate reactions to literally everything. He's worse than our toddler sometimes.

Hey hey!
Just hanging out at the wedding venue ATM. D is napping in her carseat while my baby boy is off somewhere taking pictures and looking like an incredibly dapper little man ðŸ˜
This morning we met up with a mom from my J15 BMB at the children's museum in Providence which was so much fun! The wedding is starting at 5 and I can't wait because I ended up eating very little today and I'm starving. I also think I'm DD so I need to be careful with the wine if I want to avoid a repeat of last Friday...

dashook saw the FB pic; he looks so handsome! Enjoy tonight! We ran one crummy errand today but had to come home bc I could not deal with thunderstorms AND B's whining. I know he was tired and needed a nap but sheesh. Kid's driving me to drink. He's back in the pool now and C and I are hanging outside while I have a glass of wine. My H asked the next door neighbor's son (8th grade) to mow the lawn for us while H is out of town. Not only did he mow, but he skimmed the pool to get any errant grass clippings out. He is so polite and friendly, it gives me hope for the future. I probably overpaid him, hope he doesn't think I'm a creeper.

kleigh I always check on O before I go to bed. I open his door and see a giant roach on his dresser (palmetto bug to be exact, google it if not familiar) I run over there are try to catch it while being as quiet as I can but it disappears. So all night I'm thinking about it crawling on O! sophiegrace oh no! Will she grow out of it?

cookswithwine oh I hear you on the palmetto bugs. I assume we have them here but hopefully not as many! When we were living at my parents' I snuck into B's room one night to put some towels away in the adjoining bath. There was one in the cabinet and I basically brought a nuclear holocaust down on him--if I could have safely used fire I would have but everything else was fair game. Shockingly, both kids slept through the entire episode. 😎
